JOHN QUINONES, ABC NEWS: I`m John Quinones with ABC News. Please join us next time for another edition of "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" on HLN.

A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Right now on the "Top Ten Countdown," Beyonce`s skeletons? One of Beyonce`s new videos featured a childhood moment that changed her career. And now, 20 years later, SBT talks to a singer who can thank Beyonce for his newfound superstar status.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LEONARDO DICAPRIO, ACTOR: I made $49 million, which really pissed me off, because it was three shy of a million a week.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Sex, drugs, and Oscar buzz. Leonardo DiCaprio soars in "The Wolf of Wall Street," and now he`s revealing to SBT why this movie almost never made it to the big screen.

SBT starts right now.

Hello. Thank you so much for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer.

And we begin our "Top Ten Countdown" of today`s must-see, must-share stories with an SBT exclusive. Beyonce`s big surprise for the guy who once beat her on "Star Search."

Back in 1993, way before she was famous, Beyonce appeared on the TV show "Star Search" with her group, called Girls Tyme. But they were beaten by a band called Skeleton Crew.

Well, now 20 years later, Beyonce is featuring that moment in her new smash-hit album in a song called "Flawless." You could only imagine how surprised the band was when they learned that they were now getting a second shot at fame, courtesy of Beyonce.

Skeleton Crew`s leader and co-founder William Pilipchuk just spoke with me in an exclusive TV interview from Royal Oak, Michigan.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: So this is obviously very exciting what`s going on with you and your band right now, William. I`ve got to know how you found out that Beyonce included that footage of you when you and your band beat her out on "Star Search" 20 years ago.

WILLIAM PILIPCHUK, CO-FOUNDER, SKELETON CREW: Has it been that long? Basically, I got an e-mail from another media outlet that alerted me to the thing. I`m not going to name who. But -- that`s the way -- that`s the way it happened.

And I said, start looking into it. And sure as Sherlock when you Googled Beyonce and Skeleton Crew, the next thing you know, you know, the whole bunch of postings came up. And I think I was eating cereal at the time.

HAMMER: So what was your reaction when you saw it? I imagine it`s been a while since you`ve seen that footage?

PILIPCHUK: Well, I`ve seen the footage, because I put up portions of it on our own Web site, SkeletonCrewMusic.com, which has links to our YouTube pages and what have you. So I mean, I have seen it. And I have not seen it yet in the actually -- in Beyonce`s video. So I`m looking forward to seeing it.

HAMMER: All right. Well, let`s show everybody what happened at that moment when the great, late Ed McMahon, the "Star Search" host, announced that your band, Skeleton Crew, actually beat out Beyonce`s group. What an incredible moment this as. Look.

PILIPCHUK: Yes.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ED MCMAHON, HOST, "STAR SEARCH": We`ve got the performances from staff (ph) and challenger. The judges give champion Skeleton Crew four stars, a perfect score. The challenger, Girls Tyme, receives three stars.

Skeleton Crew, you have won again. Congratulations. We`ll see you next week.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Well done. Very nice. So did you guys actually talk to Beyonce and her group after you guys won?

PILIPCHUK: I personally didn`t. Excuse me. But my bass player, Chris, had an encounter with Matthew, her father, Matthew Knowles. Mr. Knowles. And the thing was, they thought they were really going to win that one. And, well, nobody really knows. You know, Skeleton Crew is standing there on stage. Girl Tyme is standing there on stage. We do our two-minute versions of our songs. It`s out of our hands. You know, it`s in the judges` hands.

HAMMER: So here`s the thing I need to know. Now that you`re featured in the video for her song "Flawless" on an album that, quite frankly, is already breaking records right out of the gate, what are you hoping happens next as a result of this extra little publicity Skeleton Crew`s getting?

PILIPCHUK: I hope that more people can discover our music. You know, because it -- we came out at a time when the Internet was in its infancy. You had to have a record label. You know, you don`t need that now.

HAMMER: Yes, it`s a great opportunity. And I wish you the best with it. Before I let you go, I`m giving you ten seconds to say whatever you want to Beyonce. You have an audience with her right now. Go for it, William.

PILIPCHUK: Well, Beyonce, I just -- on behalf of Scott, Chris, Dan and Greg, the band members in Skeleton Crew and myself, I can`t thank you enough for including us on this incredible project of yours. I really commend you, and we are just humbly grateful.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Well, Beyonce, I know you`re watching. We know that William would love to hear from you.

Beyonce, of course, has been shattering records on iTunes, and her self- titled album is expected to be released on CD by the end of the week. But you`re not going to find it at Target. Oh, no. Target, which of course, partnered with Beyonce for her last album, just revealed that they`re not going to be selling the new album, because she released it online first. Don`t think she`s worried.

Coming in at No. 9 on our countdown, Miley Cyrus making news and keeping her clothes on. Miley opening up for the very first time about her broken engagement to Liam Hemsworth, talking to Barbara Walters, who just named Miley one of the year`s ten most fascinating people. And Miley is revealing just how terrified she was at being alone.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

BARBARA WALTERS, ABC NEWS: You and your then fiance, Liam Hemsworth, broke up this year. And you wrote about it in the song "Drive," you saying, "I was crazy thinking you were mine. It was all just a lie." What was the lie?

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER: I don`t think there was any -- any lies. I was so scared of ever being alone. And I think conquering that fear this year was actually bigger than any other transition that I had this entire year. I don`t ever want to have to need someone again where you feel like, without them, you can`t be yourself.

WALTERS: But that`s called being in love. That`s called maybe wanting to be married to someone for the rest of your life. You don`t want that?

CYRUS: I think I want that in the time that it needs to be. You know, I don`t think I realized what 19 truly is. And I got engaged at 19, and I definitely wanted to change being engaged. It was so fun wearing a fat rock for a few years.

But now I just feel like I can actually be happy. I wait for the moments of silence when I`m just at my house by myself.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: She`s figuring it all out.

So how does Barbara Walters pick celebrities like Miley when she chooses her ten most fascinating people every year? Something she`s been doing, by the way, since 1993.

Well, CNN "NEW DAY" correspondent Nischelle Turner just sat down with Barbara to find out.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

NISCHELLE TURNER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: I`ve always wanted to know how do you pick ten?

WALTERS: I would like to tell you that we do a national survey and we talk to thousands of people. What we do is to sit down in a very small group and say, "Who do you think? Who do you think?" And you know what? It`s not that hard to do when you think of what are the biggest names in the past year? It sort of falls into place. In the last year.

Miley Cyrus, I interviewed five years ago. She was 16. And usually, child stars, adolescent stars, you know, they don`t have a very great future. But she does. She`s bigger now than she was as Hannah Montana.

Jennifer Lawrence is the breakthrough star, probably the biggest young female star in films. So of course, they had to be on the list. Because they are fresh and new and natural. Funny. Fascinating.

TURNER: Definitely. Do you ever look back after a year of doing this and say, "I missed one," or "we should have put..."

WALTERS: This is my idea of hell. I`ve finished doing an interview. I think I`ve asked everything. I walk out and someone says, "Did you ask such and such?"

And I think, "That was it."

I like our list this year. It`s interesting that two on our list are young women, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Lawrence, who are finding enormous fame and learning how the cope with it. And learning how to be alone. That`s a very big part of it.

TURNER: Do you, after all the times that you`ve done "Most Fascinating," do you have a most fascinating person up to this point?

WALTERS: There are certain people that we`ve done more than once. Want to hear the list?

TURNER: Mm-hmm.

WALTERS: Tom Cruise we`ve done three times, because he keeps changing.

TURNER: Reinventing.

WALTERS: Hillary Clinton three times. Bill Clinton three times. Sarah Palin three times and in a row. I mean, year after year after year. There are people who seem to be forever fascinating.

But then the big thing is there`s always someone new like a Jennifer Lawrence, like the "Duck Dynasty." If you told me that I was going to be quacking with the "Duck Dynasty" a year ago, I would have said you`re crazy.

TURNER: But they are fascinating. Aren`t they?

WALTERS: They are fascinating. And they are loveable. And we love them because they`re a family. I did not eat fried squirrel.

TURNER: Gator meat?

WALTERS: No. But that`s what such fun with this show. Is that you look, and there are people who are fascinating this year who we never heard of last year.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: I`m tuning in just to hear Barbara quack. She never fails to make news with her top ten picks. And as she mentioned, Jennifer Lawrence is on the list.

Jennifer goes off on fat shaming. She says it should be illegal to call someone fat.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WALTERS: You criticize people who judge other women, especially on the red carpet. You`re very sensitive to that. Why?

JENNIFER LAWRENCE, ACTRESS: Because why is humiliating people funny? And I also -- and I get it. And I do it, too. We all do it. But I think when it comes to the media, the media needs to take responsibility. For the effect that it has on our younger generation, on these girls that are watching these television shows and picking up how to talk and how to be cool and how to be -- so then all of a sudden being funny is making fun of the girl that`s wearing an ugly dress or making fun of the girl that`s, you know.

And the word "fat." I just think it should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV.

(END VIDEO CIP)

HAMMER: Couldn`t agree with you more.

So will Jennifer Lawrence be named Barbara`s most fascinating person of the year? Barbara makes her big reveal when her special airs on Wednesday on ABC.

And Wednesday is also the day that we here at SBT are naming the most provocative celebrity of the year. This is something we do every year. And we`ve been getting your thoughts on the stars who did anything and everything to keep us talking in 2013.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I want to tell Kanye West to chill out. He just wants so much publicity.

(CROSSTALK)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He needs to calm down.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think he`s a gangsta.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So will it be Kanye? Maybe somebody else? Find out who we name the most provocative celebrity of the year Wednesday, 6 p.m. Eastern, live here on HLN.

And now we`ve got Leonardo DiCaprio`s fascinating revelations about why he latest collabo with Martin Scorsese took so long to get made.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DICAPRIO: I made $49 million, which pissed me off, because it was three shy of a million a week.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: "The Wolf of Wall Street" is getting rave reviews. But Leo reveals why some of the biggest drama was off-screen.

Is there something off about this new and utterly adorable picture of North West? Well, there`s a big controversy over Kim Kardashian and Kanye West`s daughter and her eyebrows.

Which star shocker is going to be No. 1?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I guess Kelly Rowlands`s beau got the motivation to put a ring on it. But how it happened is a little unusual, to say the least. And that is why it is No. 8 on our countdown.

Kelly just revealed on Queen Latifah`s talk show that her boyfriend popped the question on Skype while she was in Bulgaria. Kelly said yes and she added that she`s very happy to have her best friend to ride through life with.

Nice going, Kelly.

A six-year obsession, that is what Leonardo DiCaprio calls the journey to bring "The Wolf of Wall Street" to the big screen. But why? Well, we sent CNN`s Nischelle Turner to find out directly from Leon himself for SBT. It is No. 7 on our "Top Ten Countdown."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

DICAPRIO: My name is Jordan Belfort.

TURNER (voice-over): Greed, gluttony, glamour.

DICAPRIO: I made $49 million, which really pissed me off, because it was three shy of a million a week.

TURNER: The way of the world for the wolf of Wall Street.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How much money you make?

DICAPRIO: Seventy-two thousand last month.

TURNER: This film is the true-life cautionary tale of Jordan Belfort, as told through the eyes of Martin Scorsese. On Wall Street in the `80s and `90s, Belfort was known as "The Wolf." Onscreen, it`s Leonardo DiCaprio picking his prey.

(on camera): What took so long to get this movie made?

DICAPRIO: I think that this film doesn`t really get made. I never heard of a film like this getting made.

TURNER: Three-hour show.

DICAPRIO: It`s -- you know, it`s been six years in -- a six-year process to get this film off the ground. But I`ve been obsessed with it in a lot of ways, because I feel like it`s an accurate reflection of everything that`s wrong with the world we live in today. And the attitude of this character, Jordan Belfort, is directly attributed to the destruction of our economy, to -- you know, you can attribute this attitude, this darker side of human nature, to everything that has gone wrong in society, really. So I wanted to put this character on screen.

TURNER (voice-over): And he did. Three hours of Quaaludes, cocaine, cars and corruption. It`s what Leo calls Jordan Belfort`s life of aspiration and acquisition without limits.

(on camera): There`s still this big disparity between Wall Street and Main Street, and these type of things seem to still go on.

DICAPRIO: Well, not only that. But Jordan isn`t directly, you know, the problem with, you know, what happened to our economy. But it`s a microcosm of a much bigger story, you know.

This sort of hedonistic attitude, this -- this desire to do only what`s right for ourselves and no one else, is -- is a reflection of a much bigger story about, you know, human nature itself.

It`s a satire, and that was Scorsese`s attempt with it, you know. He wanted to -- he wanted to take the audience on this sort of hypnotic journey of what it would be like to only care about yourself.

TURNER: Is there a parallel between Hollywood and Wall Street and what goes on there? I mean...

DICAPRIO: You could -- you could compare it to almost everything in the world. I don`t -- I don`t think it`s just -- just Hollywood. Absolutely, you know, Hollywood has that side to it, as well.

TURNER: What`s the craziest thing you have seen?

DICAPRIO: In Hollywood or in my life? I`ve seen some crazy things. I can`t -- I can`t, you know, think of one off the top of my head. But I`ve seen some pretty crazy things.

TURNER: So nothing you`ve seen made its way into any of those crazy scenes?

DICAPRIO: This was all really -- this was all really, you know, Jordan Belfort being incredibly candid about his life.

TURNER (voice-over): And while the wolf`s greed and wealth is unflinching and in your face...

DICAPRIO: Today is going my way!

TURNER: ... his fall from grace isn`t pretty either. Addiction, infidelity and an ego-driven stubbornness all lead to his downfall and ultimately prison time for securities fraud.

DICAPRIO: But it`s all true. That`s was what was so fascinating about this novel and this screenplay. It`s -- all of it is true, and it`s almost -- it`s bizarre and it`s surreal, and you can`t believe that people are that irresponsible, especially with, you know, our wealth. But it -- it`s something that I`ve been so incredibly passionate about making for six years. I`m glad it finally happened.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: I think that effort pays off. Looks like a great film. "The Wolf of Wall Street" opens on Christmas day.

Well, I`m also thrilled to see Kim Basinger back in the movies with a new film, "Grudge Match." She`s playing a couple of critical roles: actress and "momager." Kim tells SBT all about her 18-year-old daughter`s very first movie, a movie that also stars Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone.

So which hot star story is going to be No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ROBERT DE NIRO, ACTOR: There was no grudge match. You never beat me.

KIM BASINGER, ACTRESS: I was there! He kicked your ass.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Kim Basinger kicking butt herself in the new movie "Grudge Match" with Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro, but Kim telling SBT it`s another costar that has her super excited about her return to comedy.

That takes us to No. 6 on our "Top Ten Countdown," Kim Basinger`s exciting new costar. As happy as Kim is to be appearing with De Niro and Stallone in "Grudge Match," she`s absolutely thrilled about a young model who`s making her film debut in the movie. It`s Kim`s 18-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin, who plays a younger version of Kim`s character in a flashback scene.

Ireland really does look a whole lot like her mom, so it does make perfect sense. But what`s even rarer than Kim giving interviews is her talking about her daughter, the one child that she had during her stormy marriage to Alec Baldwin. But when she sat down with SBT producer Sid Lipsey, she really opened up about what it was like to see her little girl following in her footsteps.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

SID LIPSEY, PRODUCER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT: I have to ask you about a young woman making her movie debut in "Grudge Match".

BASINGER: I bet you do.

LIPSEY: Yes, Ireland.

BASINGER: I know her a little bit. Yes, I know her.

When Pete asked her to do that, he asked me and I went "OK." So I called Ireland. Ireland wanted -- she said, "OK. What do I do? What will I do?"

And I said, "I don`t know. Let`s just find out on the day."

And I just finished filming myself, my part. So I got to be with her all day. I got to help her get dressed. She was very, very nervous. Extremely nervous. And then, once she got out there and she did her first scene, the second scene you would have thought she`d done 20 movies. So it was really cool.

LIPSEY: You must be very proud. Quickly, any advice that you`ve given her about getting in this business?

BASINGER: You know what? I told her speak from her heart and to keep her feet, her feet on the ground. You know, and her head high, no matter what happens. I said you`re going to have your ups and your downs. But I say as long as you`re honest to yourself, just honest to yourself and with yourself and can live with yourself, I said that`s -- that`s the bottom line.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That`s great advice for everybody. Kim`s new movie, "Grudge Match," opens Christmas day.

Well, right now, I am revealing one of the most provocative interviews I`ve ever done. It`s me, Jerry Springer and a whole lot of chocolate.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What makes you -- and I will ask you this question with a mouth full of Godiva. What makes you...

JERRY SPRINGER, TALK SHOW HOST: I need a napkin.

HAMMER: ... provocative?

SPRINGER: We`re being told our teeth...

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: After finally inhaling our chocolate I did get Jerry Springer to reveal what he thinks it takes to be the most provocative celebrity of the year. From Miley Cyrus to Kim Kardashian, Jerry tells me the keys to earning SBT`s coveted title.

Plus, former Disney star And Dylan Sprouse is breaking SBT`s golden rule. If you take a naked selfie, it`s getting out.

Who`s No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What makes you -- and I will ask you this question with a mouth full of Godiva. What makes you...

JERRY SPRINGER, TALK SHOW HOST: I need a napkin.

HAMMER: ... provocative?

SPRINGER: We`re being told our teeth...

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Right now, the "Top Ten Countdown," a provocative one-on-one with the king of the sensational, Jerry Springer.

So we`re about to reveal SBT`s most provocative celebrity of the year and Jerry is right here to weigh in. There`s a bit of chocolate involved, too.

Katy Perry and John Mayer are putting their love out there in a brand-new video for their duet, "Who You Love." Feel the on-screen chemistry. And they are revealing some serious secrets about their off-screen chemistry in their first-ever TV interview together.

SBT continues right now.

Welcome back. Thank you so much for tuning in. I`m A.J. Hammer.

Our "Top Ten Countdown" of today`s most see, must-share stories continues now with No. 5. My friend Jerry Springer, the guy who has one of the most provocative shows on television, going on 23 years now. Jerry is joining us as we get ready to name our most provocative celebrity of the year.

Well, I met up with Jerry at the shops at Columbus Circle right here in New York City, home to SBT world headquarters, and we kicked off with a chocolate treat. What could possibly go wrong when you do that?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: This is the lunch of champions right here.

This is a first for me, Jerry.

SPRINGER: Really?

HAMMER: Interviewing while eating a truffle.

I have chocolate all over my teeth now.

SPRINGER: But that`s good, because that`s how people really are.

HAMMER: Let`s go. This is how we`re going to begin our interview. So I`m being told I have chocolate all over my mouth which is fine. Of course, you give me the dusty (ph) one.

So Jerry, you wouldn`t believe it now, because we`re standing here eating chocolates. Some people actually consider you to be a provocative celebrity.

SPRINGER: Yes.

HAMMER: What makes you -- and I will ask you this question with a mouthful of Godiva -- what makes you provocative?

SPRINGER: I don`t know.

HAMMER: It`s always fun hanging out with you, particularly when we`re in a public place, because people do love coming up to you. They do love talking to you, especially if you`re buying them chocolate. We`ll go by the electronics store next.

SPRINGER: Yes.

HAMMER: That will be big fun with some big-screen TVs.

SPRINGER: Yes.

HAMMER: But there have been so many things that you have done on your show, provocative stories on "The Jerry Springer Show." What has happened to you in terms of getting a visceral reaction from, whether it be a fan or just somebody who was maybe set off by something they saw on your show, coming up to you, saying or doing something?

SPRINGER: It sounds unbelievable, but this is God`s truth. Never, not once have I ever had somebody come up to me personally and get upset about a show.

HAMMER: Really?

SPRINGER: Ever.

HAMMER: You seem surprised by that.

SPRINGER: I`m shocked. Because the show is so outrageous, so stupid. You would think.

HAMMER: So as we`re about to name our most provocative celebrity of the year.

SPRINGER: Yes.

HAMMER: You might have heard some people actually consider you to be quite the provocative celebrity.

SPRINGER: Well, I`m not -- my show is provocative. I mean, that`s -- the show is stupid.

HAMMER: You don`t see yourself as -- as provocative?

SPRINGER: I`m pretty boring. No. I guess I don`t. I mean -- I`m just a normal old guy that, you know, got lucky in television.

HAMMER: So you don`t see yourself that way. That`s interesting.

And of course, in terms of provocative celebrities who are out there and putting themselves out there, there are essentially two kinds. There are the people to whom it comes quite naturally. That would be somebody like Kanye West, and then you have somebody like Miley Cyrus who, of course, works really hard...

SPRINGER: Right.

HAMMER: ... to be provocative. Which do you think works better?

SPRINGER: In the long run, what works better is those that don`t work at it. The general advice, just in terms of having a happy life, is never try to mix your personal life with your professional life. Because you`ll ruin both.

HAMMER: I know we`re all very excited to have you on TV in yet another venue. It`s actually a perfect match for you, I think, because you`re taking on, in your new show "The Tabloid" on Investigation Discovery, these great crime stories that have become these big tabloid sensations. I`m thinking, by the way, when they hired you it was like a casting dream come true for them to be able to get you to do this.

SPRINGER: Once they had the title of the show, maybe. Yes. The call came out of nowhere and said, "Would you like to host the show?"

So I have expenses. So of course, I took it.

HAMMER: A lot of chocolate to buy, apparently.

SPRINGER: Yes. Yes.

But it`s a good -- it`s actually very interesting. I didn`t create the show, so I`m not taking credit for it. But it`s fascinating. Because these are some of the major crimes in the past 20, 30 years that became headlines in the tabloids. And now these are the back stories, the more information we found out about it.

HAMMER: Always a pleasure. Let`s go get some chocolate.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Wish it was a BMW dealer. Always a great time hanging out with Jerry. And an important lesson here for both of us: no chocolate prior to an interview.

With me now, Megan Meany, who`s a pop culture and lifestyle expert at MeganMeany.com, along with comedian and actor Ben Gleib. He is the host of a terrific weekly podcast, "Last Week on Earth." Great to have you both here.

MEGAN MEANY, MEGANMEANY.COM: Thank you.

HAMMER: Hope you`re ready for it. Wednesday, right here on HLN, SBT names its most provocative celebrity of the year at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. I know you will be locked in, but Ben, let me start with you. "Who`s the pick as far as you`re concerned?"

BEN GLEIB, HOST, "LAST WEEK ON EARTH": Well, there`s some amazing candidates. Obviously, Bieber provoked mop buckets a lot this year.

HAMMER: Right.

GLEIB: And animal authorities in foreign countries.

Obviously, Paula Deen provoked an entire race of people.

But I believe that Kim and Kanye, the Kimye duo, are the most provocative definitely, because they challenged everything we know about art and what we actually like. Kanye was seen as this genius artist, untouchable, and Kim was seen as the exact opposite. Zero talent, somebody you`d never link the two. And then they connected.

HAMMER: Worlds collided.

GLEIB: And our minds exploded.

HAMMER: Yes.

GLEIB: That made complete sense to all of us when we saw that. OK, so you`re suggesting maybe two people can be one for the sake of this because of how big it was this year.

What`s your pick?

MEANY: For me, Paula Deen, actually. Because the -- you know, it`s not Justin Timberlake. I can`t think of any headlines there. It`s not for me, Kimye. That`s just annoying, not so provocative to me.

Paula Deen was the architect of her own disaster. Here`s this cuddly grandma figure who then is labeled as a racist.

HAMMER: Yes.

MEANY: She loses her show. She loses all those endorsements. To me, that was -- that was the big headline and more interesting.

GLEIB: That`s not a bad choice. Even because before her whole race scandal, she released a line of finishing butters. After announcing she had diabetes from her butter-heavy habit she made us all eat.

HAMMER: Part of what gets you in...

MEANY: But she`s a grown up.

HAMMER: There has to be a sustained level of provocativity.

MEANY: She knew better.

HAMMER: All right. We`ll see. Will it be Paula Deen? Will it be Kim and Kanye? Who`s going to take our No. 1 spot on "The Most Provocative "list? You`ll find out Wednesday.

But first we`re getting your thoughts on the stars who set off all the buzz in 2013.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Miley Cyrus ticks me off because she acts like somebody that she`s not, or she was acting like somebody that she isn`t before and this is who she really is.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, I have a feeling Miley will make our list. You`ve got to see who ultimately tops it. You`ll find out who we name our most provocative celebrity of the year Wednesday, 6 p.m. Eastern, live here on HLN.

Racy selfies, naked photos, crazy tweets, they`ve all helped stars land on our most provocative list.

And No. 4 on our countdown, it`s former Disney Channel star Dylan Sprouse`s nude photos gone viral. These pics were reportedly tweeted by a former girlfriend. Of course, when they hit the Net, little surprise: they spread like crazy. A selfie in boxer briefs, and there`s another that has Dylan basically totally naked and showing basically everything. We, of course, had to cover it up. But don`t worry: they`re out there on the Internet if you really need to see them.

And let me be clear: Through the years, I`ve said it over and over. SBT has always warned stars of all kinds of our golden rule: if you are a celebrity and you take naked pictures of yourself or videos, they will get out. Ben, why don`t they get that?

GLEIB: Well, I think they do get that. That`s why. You can tell he wasn`t even ashamed by it. The second it came out, his first tweet was, "Whoops, guess I`m not 14 and fat anymore." Oh, maybe you wanted to show the world you`re not a chubby young star anymore.

HAMMER: No, no. I really do believe this wasn`t supposed to get out there. I think it was spin control. But let me read exactly verbatim what he said. He does seem pretty cool. By the way, he`s 21 years old now. Here`s what he blogged.

"I was proud of my progress in the gym, thought I looked hot and wanted to share it. The real problem here was me not sending my picture to someone but rather sending them to the wrong someone."

GLEIB: Yes, TMZ.

HAMMER: You do have to love that he`s owning up to it. I actually -- I do feel badly for him if they got out unintentionally. But again, stupid move.

MEANY: There`s nothing more disturbing than finding out a Disney star has, in fact, grown up and you didn`t notice it, and this is how you found out. This is the kid from "Zack and Cody" that my boys used to watch?

I`m with you, though. I think he was revealing more than a Christmas package but revealing a bit of his psyche, which is he wanted the world to know that he`s a big kid now. And the sad irony of it all is that doing it this way is, in fact, quite juvenile. And if you -- I mean, I think Jerry Springer said it: if you want your career to last, this is not the way to get publicity.

GLEIB: No, but you need to -- unless you grow up and Disney it, every single Disney star`s move to then crush it with scandalous sexual images.

HAMMER: We`ve seen it also with Miley Cyrus.

GLEIB: And the Mouseketeer kids and everything.

I`ve taken that picture many times but the only reason I`ve never leaked it is because I don`t look that good.

MEANY: Also today`s six-pack is tomorrow`s "Look, he is pudgy Dylan again." So you better, you know, watch what you share, because it could come back to bite you.

HAMMER: You do set a standard, don`t you?

All right. There`s another picture that has people up in arms tonight. Kim Kardashian just posted this adorable new Instagram pic of her little girl, North West. A bunch of haters are claiming that Kim is waxing her baby`s eyebrows. Could the bizarre attacks actually be true?

And get ready for Christmas jammies.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KEN HOLDERNESS, TV ANCHORMAN (singing): Dancing in the front yard night and day, and the neighbors walk by, and this is what they say.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are those Christmas jammies?

KEN HOLDERNESS (speaking): They are Christmas jammies.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: A TV news anchor and his family now rocketing into fame with what maybe the best viral holiday card of all time. Sorry to say it, but this video is going to make your holiday card look seriously lame.

What`s going to be No. 1?

This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: All right. We are down to the final three in our "Top Ten Countdown." At No. 3, Katy Perry and John Mayer reveal their new music video together. The real-life lovers putting it all out there for "Who You Love."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC: "WHO YOU LOVE")

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That looks like some real chemistry there. Katy and John debuting their video on "Good Morning America," and they sat down for their very first interview together. Pop culture and lifestyle expert Megan Meany from MeganMeany.com is with us, along with comedian and actor Ben Gleib, who hosts the fantastic weekly podcast, "Last Week on Earth."

Now, I cannot help but compare the music video that they did to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian together. There they are, side by side. Ben, you be the judge. Who did the best?

GLEIB: Well, they`re both terrible. So I would give them a tie for last place.

HAMMER: I would say that John and Katy are having fun with it.

GLEIB: True.

HAMMER: And Kanye and Kim, I think, were serious. Katy and John revealed, by the way, to "GMA" why they decided to let the world in on their romance. Let`s watch what they said about that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You do put yourselves out there.

JOHN MAYER, MUSICIAN: Well, we have to go at some point from the car to the front door. So that we are out there. Yes. The personal life of moving from the car to the front door. But this is the first time we`ve put ourselves out there. And, I mean...

KATY PERRY, SINGER: Specifically for this wonderful music video.

MAYER: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All in the name of the love of the music. But Megan, it could be a little risky putting it out there right now. What do you think?

MEANY: OK. Here`s the thing. I can`t get enough of this hot couple. Like everybody else, or a lot of people, I think. But I am a little nervous. TMI, it didn`t go so well for Heidi and Seal when they did their little duet. J. Lo and Ben had a video together. I think if they really are in love, as they say, maybe keep it off camera. I`m worried for these two.

But it`s this lovey-dovey, huggy holiday time, and I`m kind of digging the song. A new sound for Katy.

GLEIB: You`re right if they`re going to laugh, they should not be doing this. I remember at the Grammys a couple years ago when Katy debuted her wedding pictures of her and Russell Brand, and that crashed and burned pretty hard-core.

I just think also there`s not -- you can tell there`s not an amazing amount of chemistry, in my opinion. The lyrics of the song are "You love who you love. I tried to run. I couldn`t get away. I guess finally I`m stuck here. That`s so great." They`re never even looking at each other in the video. They can barely make eye contact.

MEANY: And he`s like "I`m not going to run anymore."

And she`s like, "They say a heart is hard to hold." A little too much info.

HAMMER: Where`s the romance, guys?

MEANY: We`re jaded.

HAMMER: I`m moving on. Let`s get to the big No. 2 on our countdown. The most adorable picture yet of Kimye`s baby girl, North West. Look at this thing. I dare you not to smile. I don`t care what you think of Kanye and Kim. But that is a cute picture.

Now, Kim Kardashian is getting attacked for this Instagram pic, because there are a bunch of haters out there suggesting that Kim waxed the baby`s eyebrows. Take a close look now.

Kim K.`s rep just told SBT that "Reports of a waxing are absolutely false."

A lot of tweets out there on this today. They`re all over the place. Here are a couple. One person wrote, "Kim K. definitely waxed her baby`s unibrow."

Another, Kim K. frenemy (ph) wrote, "I swear the Instagram pic Kim Kardashian just put up looks like her baby`s eyebrows are filled in and waxed."

Megan, do you think so? I don`t think so.

MEANY: This is highly suspect. And I don`t think it`s a wax job. I think it`s threading, which is more painful, I can tell you. And I do cry like a baby when they do it to me. That`s child abuse if that really happened.

HAMMER: Can we put a picture of her up earlier? Where`s that earlier pic that we had seen. OK. There may be -- yes, there may be a little more hair in the picture on the right.

MEANY: Come on!

GLEIB: But this kid definitely has to get used to a life of waxing. It`s Kim Kardashian`s kid. It`s going to happen for sure. It has to get used to this. Going to be a life of -- I`m surprised Kim didn`t already try to make the baby lose the baby weight.

HAMMER: A baby`s first facelift is a very trendy gift this holiday season.

MEANY: Ouch.

HAMMER: All right. Megan, Ben, thank you both so much. Good to have you on.

The bizarre controversy over baby North West`s eyebrows. Katy and John giving relationship secrets. A wild ride on this countdown. What will be No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KEN HOLDERNESS (singing): Dancing in the front yard night and day, and the neighbors walk by, and this is what they say.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are those Christmas jammies?

KEN HOLDERNESS (speaking): They are Christmas jammies.

(singing): Check it out. We just bought a Prius C. And it matches the...

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. This may be the best holiday card ever. That`s a TV news anchor in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his family getting down in their Christmas jammies.

They`re the Holderness family, and their epic Christmas jam is No. 1 on our "Top Ten Countdown."

The crew from "Anchorman 2" should move aside, because real-life WNCN anchorman Ken Holderness and his family are going seriously viral. They are jamming in their jammies to Will Smith`s "Miami," and they are upping the holiday card ante this year.

Here`s CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SBT with this year`s top viral holiday card.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): If you send out one of those old-fashioned year-in-review Christmas newsletters, now you`ve got to compete with this.

MOOS: The family`s year, summed up to the beat of Will Smith`s song "Miami," while dressed...

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (singing): In my Christmas jammies.

MOOS: The dad doing most of the jamming is none other than Raleigh, North Carolina, anchorman Ken Holderness, rapping his daughter`s achievements.

KEN HOLDERNESS: She can count to 100 in Chinese, and she can now read books about as sick as these.

And not to be outdone, Ken`s almost 4-year-old son.

KEN HOLDERNESS: And in case you didn`t see it, though you should. It`s pretty vital. He dressed up like a chief and shook his hips in a recital.

MOOS: And then there`s mom, Kim, who got a bit part as a reporter this year in "Iron Man 3."

KIM HOLDERNESS, ACTRESS: That`s me!

MOOS: Towards the end of the video, we find out that the WNCN anchorman will soon be weighing anchor.

KEN HOLDERNESS: Next month, he`s stepping off the anchor desk. It`s the biggest decision of his life. He`s going to quit his job and come work with his wife.

MOOS: Doing what? Making videos, of course, at their own video production and marketing company.

You know news people, they`re always broadcasting secrets.

KEN HOLDERNESS: There`s room for child No. 3, but I can`t. I just had a vasectomy.

KIM HOLDERNESS: It`s hard finding things that rhyme with vasectomy. Really.

MOOS (on camera): He even did the vasectomy with flair. He and three friends went together to do the deed. They called themselves the Vastecs.

(voice-over): Those are soothing packs of frozen peas on their laps.

Dad wasn`t too impressed about his Christmas jammies, since he`s still an anchorman for the CNN affiliate, and even his son tried to shut down our interview.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Mommy, close it.

KIM HOLDERNESS: You can close it now.

MOOS: But before signing off, Mom expressed regret about their jammies.

KIM HOLDERNESS: I`m really wishing at this point I had chosen something without for horizontal stripes across my backside.

MOOS: There`s always vertical stripes for next year.

(on camera): The thing is they bought the jammies last year online, and since then most of the family has expanded.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: My jammies fit me just right, but my daddy`s are a little tight.

MOOS (voice-over): Tight? We think your dad`s pretty loose.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: I`ve got to think that Will Smith never saw that coming.

Well, this may be one of the best holiday gifts anyone has ever gotten.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: A guy called me earlier and has something to say.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The amazing Justin Timberlake lets a fan onstage and upstage him at his own concert, allowing the guy to propose to his girlfriend. Trust me, it is a once-in-a lifetime moment that you do not want to miss. This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Well, this might be one of the most awesome holiday gifts anyone could ever get. The great Justin Timberlake just stopped one of his shows to let a fan propose to his girlfriend. This was down at a concert in Louisville. We think that it is proof that Justin isn`t just bringing back sexy back; he`s also bringing back old-fashioned romance. Look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TIMBERLAKE: Josh. Say hello to Josh. Who you got with you? Come up here and say hello.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: How great. Joshua Clemens` girlfriend, Kim Martin, said yes, and you`ve got to watch what she said about the whole experience.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KIM MARTIN, PROPOSED TO AT JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE CONCERT: I was just like, "There`s no way. There`s no way this is happening right now." And I got up there and it was, and I was just like in total shock. I couldn`t do anything but just stand there and, like, oh, my goodness.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Joshua said it took him 100 e-mails to track down Justin Timberlake, but it sure paid off.

Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. SBT is live Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m. Eastern and 11 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. And do not forget: Tomorrow, live at 6 p.m. Eastern, we name the most provocative celebrity of the year.
