MIGUEL MARQUEZ, CNN CORRESPONDENT: And the daughter of New York City's mayor elect, Bill de Blasio, admits she's battled depression, drugs and alcohol abuse. The admission came in a video from Kiara (ph) de Blasio. She said she thought the problem would go away if she went to college in California, but it persisted.

The mayor -elect's transition team says it released the video so others in need would seek out help.

And two Americans are safely back aboard the International Space Station after more than a seven-hour spacewalk. Rick Mastracchio and Mike Hopkins were finishing repairs to the cooling system which malfunctioned two weeks ago. There was a minor problem when a fluid line got tangled and some ammonia flakes leaked out. But NASA says it's not a big issue.

Those are your headlines this Christmas morning, Merry Christmas to you and a very happy new year.

MICHAELA PEREIRA, CNN HOST: It is every parent's stamp of approval, the look on their kids' faces Christmas morning when they unwrap their gifts. And if you're really lucky, you'll get this.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes! Yes! Yes!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

PEREIRA: Remember those kids' near meltdown after unwrapping the hot video game that year? You can't beat it. Pamela Brown joins us with more memorable home videos from some of you, our viewers.

You can beat that?

PAMELA BROWN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: That's going to be tough. That truly is what you call a Christmas Internet classic, with nearly 20 million hits since it was uploaded back in 2006. But we do want to show you some other funny moments from YouTube, our viewers and from you on Christmas Day.

Take a look at this truly priceless reaction. A 3-year old outraged after opening, of all things, books.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Book?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Books for Christmas? What the heck is that? That's not toys. That's books! I hate this!

(LAUGHTER)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BROWN: Yes. Not a happy camper at all. And not afraid to share his opinion, right?

KATE BOLDUAN, CNN ANCHOR: He's only 3 years old.

CHRIS CUOMO, CNN ANCHOR: That's impressive. Precocious with the language, the intentionality of it and the hostility of it is also impressive.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I love that, what the heck?

Britain This is all impressive. This little boy we're about to see, this is moments after opening up what he thinks is an iPhone. Turns out it's actually an iPad touch. But it didn't seem to matter because his favorite game had already been downloaded for him. Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It's a phone, sweet, games! Angry Birds!

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You know you've cornered the market when.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The sad thing is I think I would have gotten that excited.

(LAUGHTER)

(CROSSTALK)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CUOMO: His sister it's over there shaking the box.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Is this a surprise?

BROWN: This is actually one of my favorites coming up. I love this one. This is actually a teenager, she waited 10 years to get her Christmas wish. After their family dog died, they finally decided it was time for that wish to finally come true.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my God! UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my word!

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's a dog!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You got to love that.

BROWN: And what I love about this, you'll notice, there's no gifts under the tree. So her family waited until the very end, so she's thinking another year passes, I'm not getting the puppy I have always wanted. Then they bring out the big guy.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Sort of like what is happening here?

(CROSSTALK)

CUOMO: That is the beauty of it. When you're a parent, you really, you get sideways on gifts fast. It seems like it never ends. But the chance of making who you love the most so happy and satisfied, that is nothing like it, nothing like it.

BROWN: Nothing like it. And it's not just parents that can do that, it's actually companies as well.

Have you guys seen this video? This is from an airline. More proof that Christmas miracles do come true. A Canadian airline had a virtual Santa ask passengers boarding planes in Toronto and Hamilton what they wanted for Christmas.

Then the airline sent its own elves storming into the stores, checking every item off their list, as you see.

And look at this, when the planes landed in Calvary, at the baggage carousel, all the Christmas miracles were delivered. Now this was just hours after the passengers had given their --

(CROSSTALK)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It was like 150 employees that had to be (INAUDIBLE) to pull this off?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Didn't someone ask for underwear?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You want to go back and say I should have asked for a big screen TV.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You know when the luggage is too big and it comes down that --

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Some women asked for men and they got Ken dolls.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: My mom gets me a box of socks every year for Christmas. Do not discount. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's the time of year to get the socks.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You're not going to go out and get it yourself, let's be honest.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Don't worry, Indra, yours is coming.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Now you guys know what I want for Christmas.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It would have been good to know a little while ago, Pamela.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: So coming up next on that note.

KATE BOLDUAN, CNN ANCHOR: Coming up next on NEW DAY, I have been, we have all been waiting for this for months to see just what everyone got each other for the holiday. We'll see if we can tap those priceless viewer reactions. It's going to be kind of hard to do it. And we're going to guess who our secret gifter is.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And the good stuff can only get better for the holidays. And we did not disappointment. A deaf dad hears his daughter sing for the very first time. Find out how right after this.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: All right, it's about to get real. You sent the excitement.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There's nothing wrong with this. (INAUDIBLE) has taken over and that's what we like.

Welcome back to our Merry Christmas edition of NEW DAY. It's that special time of year, of course, and we are sharing the love with our NEW DAY family and what does that mean? Only part of it, presents.

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You can see the excitement. So we're going to -- we don't know who got us what.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: But we're going to try to guess.

(CROSSTALK)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I see the names, so everyone get your gift and we can start opening. Bigger is better. Everyone, grab your gift. Everyone grab your gift. This one is Michaela.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Christine.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Does that one have a name on it?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That one said Chris on it. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It did?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, that's a big one. You get a bag.

CHRIS CUOMO, CNN ANCHOR: It's Barney (ph), bark, bark, bark.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think we're going to open and we're going to start guessing.

(CROSSTALK)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Everyone wait.

BOLDUAN: Oh, this does seem to have glass on it.

(CROSSTALK)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think we know who got this.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: For the people at home --

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I wonder who got me that.

CUOMO: Read what it says.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I can't. I'm just shocked.

CUOMO: Read what it says.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: To fan, be your best, like me.

It's like a smudged (INAUDIBLE).

CUOMO: It's recycled. I send that to people when they really hate you. This is the real gift.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, now that is --

CUOMO: That's what this shit is really about.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This makes up for it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Let's see.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's the three of us.

CUOMO: Isn't that nice?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That is beautiful.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That is good stuff.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Really nice. But the first picture was good.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: But the first picture --

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Back to the head shot.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I love you, thank you very much.

CUOMO: Happy holidays.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Pamela, why don't you go.

BROWN: OK.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Tear it open, girl.

BROWN: All right, we got another picture, it looks like.

Oh, my gosh. Wow.

CUOMO: Wow.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Show the camera.

CUOMO: That's almost like a stalker's gift there. That looks like it was taken on someone's wall.

BROWN: Me playing soccer with my dad right here.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That's so sweet.

BROWN: With my family, my mom and my brother. Wait, we're not even there yet.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Got to keep it moving.

BROWN: I'm going, I'm going, guys.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Sugar.

BROWN: And some Maker's Mark.

CUOMO: Who gave it to her?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Michelle?

BROWN: It's either Michaela or Indra.

Indra?

OK.

NISCHELLE TURNER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: I gave you the fixin's to make a mint julep.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Bourbon balls.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You can get drunk on chocolate from Kentucky.

PEREIRA: Apparently somebody thinks I need my own wireless temperature station.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's the temperature for when somebody does the weather.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Your lucky day.

CUOMO: She's got like 100 of these.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There's two in there.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: These two aren't working very well here.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What is that? Oh, my goodness.

CUOMO: I like the size on it.

TURNER: Oh, there you go, OK, I'm going to say that this is Michaela Pereira.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, that is not.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That is fantastic.

TURNER: Because I'm cold every day. Boom.

CUOMO: Very nice.

BOLDUAN: Show them though. It's the galaxy, hold them up. There's no trap door. Just so we all know.

TURNER: I'm wearing this tomorrow.

PETERSONS: Let's wear it now.

TURNER: Oh, come on, Cuomo.

PEREIRA: Wow. That's beautiful.

CUOMO: Oh, this is quality. You know what this is?

BOLDUAN: It's a fishing hook.

CUOMO: This is a hook. That's so I can return it.

BOLDUAN: It's a tie clip.

CUOMO: Right. But you can put it on a hat or a tie, it's a fishing hook, which means I can also use it to defend myself in some places. This is very nice. This could be anybody. This doesn't help.

(CROSSTALK)

CUOMO: They're playing that music like when they talk you off at the Oscars. My mother's so mad right now, she's like "Save the paper." Hold on. Oh.

BOLDUAN: That is classy.

CUOMO: These are strong. If I didn't know better, I would think it was my EP who gave me this. Are these from you?

BOLDUAN: Yes, something you love and then something I love.

CUOMO: These are very nice, you're the best. Thank you so much.

TURNER: Those are hunting socks.

PETERSONS: They're hunting socks.

CUOMO: They're camo.

PEREIRA: That's so good.

CUOMO: Aren't those nice?

PEREIRA: Those are great.

BOLDUAN: We've got to go. They put us up --

(CROSSTALK)

CUOMO: Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.

PEREIRA: Merry Christmas.

BOLDUAN: We're not done yet.

CUOMO: The show's not over though, coming up on NEW DAY. Listen to this one -- this is great. What allows the deaf to hear? It's a Christmas miracle made possible by the power of "The Good Stuff". Please stay with us.

These are really, really nice. This is very nice. This was nice.

(CROSSTALK)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CUOMO: I'm still laughing at what I put in that photograph. This is good too. This is even better. It's time for "The Good Stuff" in a very special edition for today.

We have a legitimate Christmas miracle -- ok. Here's the story, dad, Ken Staley (ph), he's been hearing impaired for more than 50 years. Didn't stop him from hearing his daughter Ashley sing for the first time with the help of a little technology.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is the microphone that will go to this receiver, this receiver will go up to his hearing aid. We've had (inaudible) put in the program. So it's going to be a complete surprise. . He was closing his eyes. He was listening to my voice.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (inaudible) It's amazing. I'm very proud of my daughter.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CUOMO: The song that Ashley chose is "Daddy Please Come Home for Christmas" -- the perfect song for Ken to hear his daughter sing for the very first time. Simple, but so sweet -- isn't it?

BOLDUAN: So sweet. And that she could do that as a surprise.

CUOMO: Right?

PEREIRA: A great gift. He'll never forget it.

CUOMO: Kids giving back to their parents, it just doesn't get gooder than that. Except maybe that these stories come from you and we want more of them. We have a CNN iReport campaign to catch all of your good stuff. Just log on to cnnireport.com/goodstuff to find out how.

BOLDUAN: And please, please send us your good stories, we love to highlight them, we really do.

Coming up on NEW DAY a favorite carol from our Christmas fire -- the young people's chorus of New York City under the direction of Francisco Nunez (ph). They're going to take us to break.

(MUSIC)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CUOMO: From our hearts to yours, we wish you a truly wonderful Christmas. But first, more with the Young People's Chorus of New York City, under the direction of Francisco Nunez. Merry Christmas.
