Aired January 07, 2014 - 23:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

JOHN QUINONES, ABC NEWS: Please join us next time for another edition of "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" on HLN.

A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Right now on the "Top Ten Countdown," the remarkable pressure being the first black female comedian hired by "Saturday Night Live" in years. But will it be way too much? Well, you`ve got to hear what former "Mad TV" star Debbie Wilson is telling us.

Plus, Juan Pablo fever.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JUAN PABLO GALVAIS, "THE BACHELOR": I`m the first Latino Latino (ph). I speak the language of stars (ph). If you want to stand in this position, I`d love to meet 25 beautiful women who are looking for somebody to get married.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, yes. About to get very hot in here as we reveal the steamy secrets about the sexy new "Bachelor," Juan Pablo. The stories you haven`t heard from "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison, who is right here as SBT starts right now.

Hello and thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer, and it is about to get very hot in here, because the first month of the new year has unofficially been dubbed "Juan-uary." And that is how we are kicking off our "Top Ten Countdown" of today`s must-see, must-share stories, with No. 10, Juan Pablo Gal-van-eece -- Gara-beece. I`m going to say it right. He has created a definite online buzz as perhaps the hottest "Bachelor" ever.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GALVAIS: My name is Juan Pablo Galvais. I was born in New York, and I grew up in Venezuela. I currently live in Miami. And in this position, I`d love to meet 25 beautiful women who are looking for somebody to get married. And I really can`t believe I`m "The Bachelor."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, yes, he is. Juan Pablo is the star of the 18th season of "Bachelor," and "Bachelor" buzz around him is just remarkable. The host of "The Bachelor," Chris Harrison, right here with us.

Now help us understand what the heck is going on, because really, it`s kind of unprecedented. And the ratings were huge for your debut. Congratulations on that.

CHRIS HARRISON, HOST, "THE BACHELOR": Thank you. Yes, the best numbers we`ve had in three years, just off the charts, this guy.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, it`s stunning to have seen this, because there`s been buzz about other bachelors before. But you`ve got to admit, nothing like this.

HARRISON: No. You know, I`ve said this before, where we`ve never had a bachelor, well, we`ve never named a bachelor from a show -- he came off "The Bachelorette" -- who got less timebut more buzz. He went off very early on Desiree`s season of "The Bachelorette." I mean, he never even had a single individual date with her. He had group dates. And then he went away.

And yes, there was some steam, and we thought, "OK, that will die. The show goes on." But it never did.

And when I named him on the show, on the -- you know, in front of the audience, it was like The Beatles walked out. It was insane.

HAMMER: I`ve had women walking up to me, asking what do I know more about Juan Pablo than they`re finding out on TV. Have you been following the Twitter, by the way?

HARRISON: The Twitter -- I`m still on MySpace, but I hear Twitter`s catching on.

HAMMER: Well, it`s been going pretty much nonstop about him. And people were live tweeting during the show last night. I saw this one really funny tweet from @WashingTina (ph) who wrote, "Raise your hand if you`re just here to watch Juan Pablo roll his `r`s.`"

He is, of course, the first Latino "Bachelor."

HARRISON: Yes.

HAMMER: And that`s something that the ladies obviously seem to be digging. It really is about time.

HARRISON: He`s a -- he`s a Latino heartthrob. He`s just the best choice, honestly, whether he`s Latino, African-American, white. I don`t care. He`s just the best choice. And obviously, you see by the numbers last night, you know, he`s killing it.

HAMMER: Yes. And celebrities -- and people of note going crazy for him, too. You guys have been making the rounds. You were at "Good Morning America" over on ABC.

HARRISON: Yesterday.

HAMMER: Ran into Lena Dunham and Allison Williams from "Girls," who the girls literally going crazy. Look at what Lena posted on Instagram. "Allison met Juan Carlo [SIC] a.k.a. DA BACHELOR and her eyes went red with passion." Nice, Lena.

She also shared this moment on "GMA." Let`s take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LENA DUNHAM, ACTRESS: I got a kiss from "The Bachelor." I don`t really know how to process what just happened to me. But I think that the ladies of the house should be nervous (ph). He`s coming.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HARRISON: I`m a huge fan of Lena. I think she is genius. As a writer and actor, a creator. And I went out, absolutely knowing for a fact she either hated my show or didn`t know it at all. And I`m, like, "I`m a huge--." She`s like, "I love `The Bachelor.`" And then she saw Juan Pablo, and she was blown away. I`m like, wow. I was slightly disappointed, but it`s amazing when you realize you`re touching these people.

And I was on "The View" today, and you hear Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters discussing the show. And I`m like, in what world is this happening?

HAMMER: Yes. Well, and the thing is, everybody is sort of into him, obviously, because well, he`s a very good-looking guy and he`s a devote father and all of that. But what is it -- what`s his deal? I mean, is he as nice as he appears to be?

HARRISON: What you`re asking is, what is the "it" factor that he has that you and I do not?

HAMMER: Well, it`s making me a little crazy.

HARRISON: No, no, I hate him. If I could bottle it up and sell it, I would, man. No, here`s the thing with him, is obviously, he has that Latino heartthrob thing going and the accent, which he does lay on thick when the women are around. I`m onto you.

But he also has that charisma and the charm. He is a phenomenal father to his daughter, Camilla. And I don`t know if you saw the special Sunday night, but we got to know the Galvais clan.

HAMMER: Right.

HARRISON: His family is incredible. The apple doesn`t fall far from the tree. He is that guy.

So he is that wonderful man on top of not a bad set of abs.

HAMMER: Well, listen, you mentioned that he`s a father. I think that is playing into this quite a bit. The fact that he`s this doting dad to Camilla.

HARRISON: Well, I can`t -- I don`t know. I`m a single dad, and they`re not knocking down my door, man. So I don`t know. We can`t blame it on anything. He just has what we don`t. We`re just going to have to deal with this.

HAMMER: Do we have -- can we just roll that last clip that we have, that I want to show where the ladies are going all-out to get his attention?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GALVAIS: How are you?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m good. I`m very good. I didn`t wear shoes.

GALVAIS: That`s great.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I didn`t want to be too tall.

GALVAIS: That`s fine. You can be tall (ph).

Miss Raja (ph). How are you?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Here are some (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and let me help you with that. Like, actually, this is doing chemistry. Why don`t we just have chemistry?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Look, she`s having a little fun. Is that the way to a guy`s heart right there?

HARRISON: For him it was. He liked the piano bite (ph). He liked -- like Claire got out, you know, she was the one who faked the pregnancy and stuff like that. But he found it endearing. And he knows that night one is a little crazy.

HAMMER: Yes, it is. Well, we`ve got to talk about this. Will you stay here?

HARRISON: Absolutely.

HAMMER: Because women, in many instances, are waiting for a guy to put a ring on it. So we kind of go inside the minds of men to learn what it takes to get them to put a ring on it.

HARRISON: Good luck with that!

HAMMER: Yes, well, you`ve got to be a part of this all-star panel. You`ve seen things, Chris.

All right. Next on our countdown, at No. 9, the pressure cooker facing "Saturday Night Live`s" first black female comedian in six years. Sasheer Zamata got the gig, and congratulations to her, by the way. But she`s the first black female cast member since Maya Rudolph left the show. That was six years ago.

"SNL" hired Sasheer just as they`ve been getting a whole lot of heat for their lack of diversity, especially after "SNL" star Keenan Thompson said the reason there weren`t any black female comedians on the show was because they couldn`t find any. Wow.

Well, we could: actress and comedian Debra Wilson. There she is, with me from Hollywood. Debra, of course, the longest-serving original cast member on the sketch comedy series "Mad TV." And it`s terrific to have you here.

DEBRA WILSON, COMEDIAN/ACTRESS: Thank you. Very glad to be here, A.J.

HAMMER: Yes, this is great. A lot of people are talking about this online, obviously. We have somebody who wrote about this on CNN.com. PX4 said, "They made her into a racial stopgap. I hope she`s strong and funny enough to persevere. I have my fingers crossed for her, but it won`t be easy."

I have to imagine, Debra, that`s probably why this is going to be a tough ride with some amount of pressure here.

WILSON: I`m going to play devil`s advocate, and I`m going to say that that`s not the case. If they hired her, especially not having an African- American woman on the show for six years, they hired her because she`s funny. You`re not going to put her in front of America unless she`s going to be funny, which is exactly why they`ve been getting heat the whole time. Because they said they couldn`t find African-American women that were ready for the show.

So now that the pressure`s on, they have to find someone, not because she`s a stopgap but because she`s really, really ready for the show. And I think she`s going to be amazing.

HAMMER: Yes, no, I totally agree with you on that. And I`m sure that Lorne Michaels would not put anybody on that stage who didn`t deserve to be there, especially when the stakes are so high. She`s a very funny woman. She`s been writing and producing her own material. She did this great spoof of a Best Buy commercial on her Web site that I want to watch with you. Let`s roll that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We asked our customers what they rated highest for home entertainment. Time and time again, it`s full movie theater quality. Our real cinema system creates all your favorite parts of going to the movies, so you can enjoy the best home theater quality experience.

SASHEER ZAMATA, COMEDIAN: Oh, girl, don`t go in there! Or you`ll all die! (SCREAMING)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Love it. So Debra, what do you think? I mean, separate from the fact that she`s got to be good to be on "SNL," from what you`ve seen of her, do you think she`s got what it takes?

WILSON: Well, you know what? You can`t tell from a small snippet like that. It depends upon the material that she`s given. But what I`m hoping, my aspiration for the show is that we`re going to see more ethnic comedy, as opposed to just the frat-boy humor that we`ve been seeing.

I think when you have three black people together -- and yes, I can say "black" because I`m black, so I`m skipping the "African-American" right now, A.J. But if you`ve got three black people on there, I think what`s going to be a new layer to the show is seeing an aspect of comedy that is ethnic. A colloquial aspect to the African-American community or the ethnic community that we`re used to seeing about ourselves. And I think it`s only going to benefit "Saturday Night Live," because it will bring in more people of color to watch the show that they have been feeling that they have been lacking seeing themselves in.

HAMMER: I totally agree with you, but how do you think she needs to come out of the gate? Does she come on and make fun of the fact that she is the new African-American comedian on the show? Or just get into it?

WILSON: I think she -- but see, if we do that, we`re telling her that she needs to be a representation. She`s not a representation of the African- American community. She`s a representation of being a funny woman on a show. I think we need to stop with the expectations and have her just come out and be what she`s going to be and do what she`s going to do on January 18.

HAMMER: I totally agree.

WILSON: Let`s root her on, and let`s completely forget everything else. And let`s just see her be funny. Let her have that opportunity to be funny, and let her be funny.

HAMMER: Listen, we can`t ignore race, but let`s stop making everything about it. You know, because that`s sometimes feels like that`s what`s going on here.

Well, Debra, it is great...

WILSON: That`s my point.

HAMMER: ... to have you here. Appreciate it. Thank you so much.

WILSON: Absolutely.

HAMMER: And get ready now for Jessica`s big diet secret. Jessica Simpson finally opening up about how she shed all of that baby weight after giving birth to her second child.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JESSICA SIMPSON, SINGER: When I was pregnant, it was -- A, it`s my second. I had already been on Weight Watchers, and I`d already lost over 50 pounds. So I didn`t -- I wasn`t as relaxed of -- in my eating and everything that I was with Maxwell.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, yes. Jessica just revealed her brand-new body on "GMA." You`ve got to hear about the lifestyle change that got her there.

And we`ve got a new battle for the ages: Superman versus Big Foot. Superman star Dean Cain is on the hunt for the legendary creature. It`s a brand-new show that`s offering a $10 million bounty. Here`s the deal. Another Big Foot hunter claims that he just captured the mythical creature. So what does Dean think about that wild claim? He`s right here to tell me.

What`s going to be No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DENNIS RODMAN, NBA HALL OF FAMER: No, no, no. I`m just saying on, all this (EXPLETIVE DELETED). I don`t give a rat`s ass what the hell you think. I`m saving you. Look at these guys here. Look at them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. What got into him? It`s Rodman`s remarkable rant. Dennis Rodman loses it during a live interview with CNN while in North Korea. But exactly what set him off?

That takes us to No. 8 in our "Top Ten Countdown." Dennis got hot under the collar this morning about questions about his latest trip to North Korea and his new BFF, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Well, Rodman and a bunch of other former NBA players are there for a game on Kim Jong-un`s birthday, and during an exclusive interview on CNN`s "NEW DAY," host Chris Cuomo pressed Rodman about the trip to North Korea, which is holding a U.S. citizen, Kenneth Bae, for an unknown reason. Well, Rodman just exploded. Look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RODMAN: You`ve got 10 guys here. Ten guys here that have left their families, left their damn families to help this country in a sports venture. You`ve got ten guys, all these guys here. And you don`t understand that?

CHRIS CUOMO, ANCHOR, "NEW DAY": We do. And we appreciate that. And we wish you well with cultural exchange.

RODMAN: No, no, no. I`m just saying on, all this (EXPLETIVE DELETED). I don`t give a rat`s ass what the hell you think. I`m saving you. Look at these guys here. Look at them.

CUOMO: Yes, but that is -- don`t put it on them. Don`t use them as an excuse for the behavior that you`re -- that you`re pushing on yourself.

RODMAN: The video -- the video...

CUOMO: You just basically were saying that Kenneth Bae did something wrong. We don`t even know what the charges are. Don`t use these guys as a shield for you, Dennis.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Listen, listen, listen...

RODMAN: All of them are shields. I`ve got it. Let me do this! Bully (ph) -- bully (ph), I`ll tell you one thing. People are on a roll. I`m on a roll. I`m going to do one thing. You hide behind the microphone right now. We are the guys here doing what it takes. We`re going to go back to America and take you a boost. Do you have to take me a boost that we`re going to kick? (ph)

Do you, sir? Let me know. Because you don`t get it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Huh? Comedian Debra Wilson is back with me from Hollywood. You know, Debra, I was watching that when it played out live this morning. I was thinking somebody better be ready with the restraints for Rodman there.

WILSON: Nothing surprises me, and I`ll tell you why. If you look at the equation, you`re going to see exactly what adds up to this.

First of all, no one has ever reported that Dennis Rodman was an intellect. And if you look at his history in the media, Dennis Rodman is known for having outrageous behavior, being outrageous to begin with.

Now, if you couple that, again, with someone who`s not really an intellect, when the question is posed, he can`t even -- he`s not coherent enough to answer questions. And so what happens with a lot of people who feel like they`re backed in a corner when they can`t answer a question because they`re incoherent, they get angry; they get frustrated. They try to make it into something else so that they don`t have to stick with the subject matter that they don`t understand in the first place.

HAMMER: I felt like I was watching "Celebrity Apprentice" all over again. When he got confused or couldn`t figure something out, he just started going off on people.

That rant, no big surprise, lighting up on Twitter. This is something from JustRemember [SIC], who`s tweeting, "Sounds like Dennis Rodman`s G-string was on too tight." Apparently remembering how Dennis used to dress up in women`s clothing on occasion.

This from Paul: "Dennis Rodman is like one long, continuous pitch to `SNL.`"

I`ve got to agree with that, Debra. I man, you`re a TV sketch comedy vet. It is a comic`s dream, right?

WILSON: This is a comic`s dream. We wait for stuff like this. It`s like fishing. It`s like ice fishing. You may sit out there in the cold, but when you catch something and you reel it in, you know you`re going to get the big one.

And this is definitely the big one with Dennis Rodman. Especially when he`s ranting about how they`re going to get flak coming back to the United States for what they`re doing. What does he think this is, Vietnam?

HAMMER: What do you picture happening when these two get together, Dennis and the North Korean leader?

WILSON: Well, you know what? I think they`re going to sit back. They`re going to kick back, and they`re going to talk basketball and safe and keep it simple. Because there isn`t -- there might be a language barrier, but there obviously is a connection between the two of them. And they`re going to keep it really simple.

HAMMER: Maybe...

WILSON: Keep it really simple. And -- and, if Kim Jong-Il [SIC] is smart enough, they`ll keep him, Dennis Rodman, there...

HAMMER: Yes.

WILSON: ... in North Korea.

HAMMER: That would be nice, wouldn`t it? Some people are saying.

All right, Debra. Thank you. So great having you.

WILSON: For a little while. I think so. Thanks.

HAMMER: All right. We move now from Rodman`s rant to our superstar SBT panel. This is going to be so cool. "How to Put a Ring on It." The brand-new "Bachelor," Juan Pablo, so red-hot right now the ratings for the show have doubled.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I know you have a daughter. And I know you want more children. And I was thinking maybe...

GALVAIS: Do you want children, maybe?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

GALVAIS: That`s great.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hold still.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: We`re going to tell women what men really want to seal the deal and get that ring. Is it faking a pregnancy? Our celebrity guy panel, including "The Bachelor" host himself, Chris Harrison, are here.

Plus, it`s Jessica Simpson`s Weight Watchers journey. Secrets of how she shed all that baby weight after her beautiful boy, Ace, was born, without going to extremes.

What`s going to be No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GEORGE GRAY, ANNOUNCER, "THE PRICE IS RIGHT": A.J. Hammer from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, come on down to "The Price is Right"!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, no, I will never forget that moment. Got to live out my childhood fantasy, right there on "The Price is Right," as a guest model. Well, you might remember I gave you this behind-the-scenes preview of my temporary dig, wearing SBT`s "Game Show Madness" week. And I did my best to give away cars and boats and trips. And of course, I got to hang out with the always charming "Price is Right" host, Drew Carey.

That brings us to No. 7 on the countdown, because you`re about to see, well, if I pulled it off. How I did living my long-time dream. Our friends at "The Price is Right" just announced that my episode will be airing on Wednesday, January 15. Plan for it. Set your DVR. Check it out. See if I was able to hit all my marks and see if that giddy smile ever left my face.

It didn`t.

Our "Top Ten Countdown" continues now with some seriously sinister political drama. It`s No. 6. It`s your "SBT First Look" at the brand-new season of the Netflix hit, "House of Cards." The show won three Emmys. It really changed the way we all think about Web-based TV forever. And now, the show that`s famous for conspiracy, murder and more White House scheming than most of us can keep track of, is cranking up even more drama.

Take a look at what the brand-new season has in store.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KEVIN SPACEY, ACTOR: And that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office of which I`m about to enter.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So help me, God.

SPACEY: So help me, God.

One heartbeat away from the presidency and not a single vote cast in my name. Democracy is so overrated.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let`s start this new chapter with a clean slate.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I know you`ll do whatever you think is best.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The congressional leadership took part. The vice president just assumed office. I can`t have this conspiracy stuff going mainstream.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The connections are troubling, especially Underwood.

CHRIS MATTHEWS, MSNBC ANCHOR: So this goes all the way to the White House?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It might.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We delete all of our former history.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: So you want me to just walk away, act as if I don`t know anything?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Custer`s (ph) in town. He`s meeting with the president in 45 minutes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He`s convincing the president to change his mind.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You will be making a disastrous mistake.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I feel like I`m losing control in my own goddamn administration.

SPACEY: Hit him again, and hit him now.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He`s a dangerous man.

SPACEY: I want him obliterated.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: More than that. Let`s make him suffer.

SPACEY: I don`t know whether to be proud or terrified.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Some people think that the American media is a bit more calculating than you let on.

SPACEY: We need to strike back hard and fast.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They have stepped on the wrong -- rattlesnake.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I told you to stop that channel.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I can turn this around, sir.

(UNINTELLIGIBLE)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I know how to handle him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You (UNINTELLIGIBLE)

SPACEY: Perhaps. This stubbornness is far more costly than meetings.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m looking for Rachel Posner.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You let me know if anyone contacts you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Agent Green, FBI.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You cannot run away from this.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He`s got power. He`s got a lot to lose. And he`s winning.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I need to know that I wasn`t a part of...

SPACEY: Finish the thought.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: ... part of someone`s murder.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I won`t submit myself to this sort of exposure again.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Am I really so (UNINTELLIGIBLE)?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do you blame me if I find it difficult to trust you right now?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You are out of line, Frank.

SPACEY: There is but one rule: hunt or be hunted.

Welcome back.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: I love that show. "House of Cards" back February 14 with 13 new episodes. Kind of a dark little Valentine`s treat.

Well, if that "First Look" didn`t blow your mind, this probably will.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ALEX TREBEK, HOST, "JEOPARDY": "Another plane, another train / Another bottle in the brain," the Beastie Boys rapped in "No Sleep Til" here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, you just heard that. Alex Trebek busting rhymes, the "Jeopardy" way. I`m revealing why Alex just went gangsta on us.

Plus, it`s Superman versus Big Foot. Superman actor Dean Cain taking on the guy who claims he just killed Big Foot. Dean`s hosting a brand-new show that`s offering 10 million bucks to hunt down the mythical creature. Are Dean and his fellow trackers too late to the party? Dean`s right here to weigh in.

What could possibly be No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I know you have a daughter.

GALVAIS: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And I know you want more children.

GALVAIS: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And I was thinking maybe a future...

GALVAIS: You want children, maybe?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

GALVAIS: That`s great.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s not real.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What? Right now, the "Top Ten Countdown." Is Juan fever. Red- hot "Bachelor" Juan Pablo has women falling out from coast to coast. But how can they bag their own bachelors? Well, we are going inside the minds of men with a superstar SBT panel to learn what it takes to get them to put a ring on it.

Jessica`s journey. No bikini pictures, no wacky workouts. Jessica Simpson gets real about her pregnancy and dieting.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JESSICA SIMPSON: When I was pregnant with Ace, my second, I had already been on Weight Watchers and I had already lost over 50 pounds. So I wasn`t as relaxed in my eating and everything as I was with Maxwell.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And wait until you see Jessica`s inspiring new ad. We think it`s way better than those star bikini selfies. SBT continues right now.

Welcome back. Thank you for watching. I`m AJ Hammer. So here we are making our way to No. 1 on our countdown of today`s top ten must-see, must- share stories. Right now it`s a bonanza for "The Bachelor," earning its highest ratings for a premier in three years, and it`s pretty easy to see why.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: -- with a suit on, so we`re good.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You feel good, though. Maybe you should take off your jacket. Because I feel like you just -- I have a layer. And I need to not have this layer.

All I wanted to do was just rip that off him and just pour my oils all over him. And that will come.

Look at your cute socks. You are great.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, that was a lot of effort right there.

That massage didn`t get her a rose. But the woman who decided to introduce herself with a fake baby bump, she did get one? I just don`t understand. That brings us to No. 5, #putaringonit. So we are going inside the minds of our celebrity guys because we need to find out what the heck it really takes to get men to stop messing around and finally put a ring on it. Chris Harrison is the host of ABC`s big hit, the reality love show "The Bachelor," a big part of the reason why it has such huge ratings. He is back with us in New York, along with actor Dean Cain. Dean is the host of Spike TV`s new series, "$10 million Bigfoot Bounty," it is premiering this Friday night. In Hollywood, comedian DeRay Davis, the host of GSN`s "Mind of a Man," which premieres tomorrow night. Guys, it`s great to have you here. We`re going to dispel some important information, put it out there for women, perhaps for men.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I can`t imagine the four of us can`t figure this out.

HAMMER: Right, the brain trust we have assembled here tonight.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: Here`s the thing, the woman who did the massage, no rose for her. Yet fake baby bump woman gets a rose. I`m a little confused.

CHRIS HARRISON, HOST, THE BACHELOR: Let`s break down what that was, though. Awkward rubbing in a driveway versus someone who made an endearing gesture. Yes, the baby bump was a little weird, but I think what her intention was and the way she pulled it off and the way she talked to him later is what sealed the deal. It wasn`t creepy. The I`m going to pour my oils on you and rub you in the driveway on night one, that`s a little much.

HAMMER: That works for some men, I`m sure. Dean.

DEAN CAIN, ACTOR: Speaking of some men it might work for, right? Is that --

HAMMER: A woman comes up to you with a fake baby bump --

(CROSSTALK)

CAIN: I run as fast as possible. No, I`m a single father and I love children. You know, it`s a different world out there. And I would certainly turn to Chris on this one. The antics that you see, it`s a competition, they`re going for it. I mean, just on the surface, though, not having seen it, pour my oils all over you or here`s my fake baby, I am going to go with the oils.

HAMMER: So that`s what you would recommend to women trying to get a guy to put a ring on it.

CAIN: I`m the worst guy in the world to answer that question. I`ve never put a ring on it, so I don`t know.

HAMMER: Let me introduce you to my friend DeRay. DeRay is with us tonight as well, and he is doing a good service for the world coming to the rescue of women everywhere. This new show is great, it`s called "Mind of a Man," all about helping women understand what men really think, if that`s possible.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DERAY DAVIS, HOST, MIND OF A MAN: We asked 100 African-American men, "which of these are you most likely to do with a girl before you are really ready." Say "I love you." Get engaged or make a baby? Lock in your answer.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Get engaged.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What?

DAVIS: You say get engaged, why you say that? Because nobody over there said that.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I know girls that`s been engaged for years.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Being engaged for years is not necessarily the solution they are looking for. All right, DeRay, you have talked to hundreds of men, thousands, perhaps, what secret do women really need to know about getting the guy to genuinely commit?

DAVIS: First of all I want to say that the girl with the baby bump, the reason he was more attracted to her is because he figured that`s not his kid and some other guy would be paying the child support on it. So that`s a bill out the way right there.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: And is -- go ahead.

DAVIS: Look at that, she`s pretty, she`s pregnant already, she comes with a package. And you can always take the baby to the other father -- the birthright babysitter. So that works out for him. But as far as giving advice to women, more than giving advice to women, I think the show gives women that chance where they always say, I`m right, I`m always right. It gives them a chance to see if they are right, they get money, and if they`re not, they lose and they get to go home, and their boyfriends or spouses get to say, hey, honey, give me a break from now on, because evidently, you just proved, if you were right, you would come home $10,000 richer, and I still got bills. That about proves that.

HAMMER: And by the way, it was a fake baby bump. She wasn`t really pregnant.

DAVIS: I know it was a fake -- a fake baby bump shows she was a liar. I`m kidding.

CAIN: I`m watching that show. I`m watching that show.

HAMMER: Maybe not a good strategy. Go ahead.

HARRISON: There`s no secret. That`s the beauty of "The Bachelor." It`s why it`s been on for 12 years. It`s a very simple concept. It`s the one thing we all want, guys, girls, companionship, but nobody has figured it out. There is no easy one, two, three guidebook to this.

HAMMER: But there are still theories. In fact, one theory is some women feel they really need to take the bull by the horns. Let`s watch a particular scene that speaks to this, it was from this week`s episode of the "Big Bang Theory."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Woo. Leonard Hofstetter, will you marry me?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Um.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know, sometimes you got to nudge a little bit.

CAIN: That`s a nudge. There`s no question. He should have said yes, immediately. Right?

(CROSSTALK)

HARRISON: That guy can get (inaudible), yes.

DAVIS: Or they can put out -- or they could put out a song like Beyonce. "Just Put a Ring on It." But if you look like Beyonce, you have to do it. She basically forced -- if you have a woman looking like Beyonce, waving her hand in front of you, put a ring on it, you`re like, I got to do it, Jay-Z has to do it, you know. But if you have got a woman proposing to you, I don`t think most men will do it. Women, if you want a ring, the thing to do is pretend that you don`t want a ring. That`s what you do, because if you force it on a man --

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: It`s more lying. There`s all this advocacy for lying going on.

DAVIS: No, no.

HARRISON: We`re going to paint with a broad brush here, but I still think -- and Dean, you`re a single guy too. You still want that chase. You still want -- and I`m not saying the hard to get chase, but you still want a little bit of a chase.

HAMMER: OK. Let`s go out to social media. Because they are talking about it online. We put this out on our Facebook page. Our lovely Joan Yee (ph) and Sarah Moon (ph) from SHOWBIZ have been looking into this. What are people saying right now?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hey, AJ, so we have a lot of viewer comments on Facebook. Let`s take a look at this one. Trudy R. Says "I waited three years for a proposal, then left like I said I would if he didn`t. Now after breaking up, he wants to marry me. What do I do?" To you, Joan.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What do you mean, what do I do? You put out a plan, finish it. You should totally marry him.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Marry him.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: There is some great advice. Thank you.

CAIN: He is not going to marry her. He`s not going to marry her.

HAMMER: The woman threw down the gauntlet. Not working?

CAIN: DeRay, he`s not marrying her, is he? Not happening?

DAVIS: I don`t think he is, because the break-up itself shows she was willing to leave when things get hard. And a lot of women don`t know that the reasons why we wait on marriage is to see if we are compatible as a group. That`s why you see women take a lot of selfie pictures and not couple pictures.

HAMMER: There`s something to that.

DAVIS: All these selfies, not a lot of couples pictures, because women, you have to see if we are compatible as a team. You can`t just leave when things get rough.

HAMMER: Go team. Let`s listen to some more of the FaceBook comments. Joan and Sarah, what have you got?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Here is another one. It`s from Albert G. He says, "nowadays people don`t even feel the need to be married in order to be in a committed relationship."

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That`s so Kourtney Kardashian, to think that not everyone needs to be married, but I`m single, so I don`t really know what I`m talking about. I say whatever works for you, works for you. If you want a ring, go for it, and if not, live your life.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That`s so Kourtney Kardashian. That`s a term.

(CROSSTALK)

HARRISON: That`s something we should deal with later with her, by the way.

HAMMER: (inaudible), you don`t necessarily need a ring, but sometimes that`s exactly what women want. It`s important.

HARRISON: I know. I`m more Southern. I`m more traditional. I think it will eventually end up in a committed relationship, which is a marriage. But that`s just me. I also live in La La Land, where everybody decides to have babies and then they decide to start dating. So that`s a whole different issue out in LA, which is awkward.

DAVIS: The reason they do that is sometimes, I mean just speaking from a lot of different point of views, you want to see what the baby looks like first before you commit. Is that baby cute?

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: You are genetically window shopping.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: All right, guys. I think we learned a lot here today.

CAIN: I don`t think we have.

HAMMER: We got to end it somewhere. DeRay, Dean, thank you all so much. Dean, I`m going to urge you to stick around, because we have to take on Superman versus Bigfoot.

CAIN: Let`s go.

HAMMER: Yes. The former Superman now hosting a brand new show, offering a $10 million bounty to find Bigfoot. I`m wondering if you might be too late.

Jessica Simpson is also on her new diet journey.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SIMPSON: When I was pregnant with Ace, my second, I had already been on Weight Watchers and I had already lost over 50 pounds, so I wasn`t as relaxed in my eating and everything than I was with Maxwell.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Jess is getting real about getting back to her post-baby body. No crazy selfies here, just a really inspiring story for real moms everywhere you got to see. Jess or Bigfoot, what will be No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to our top ten countdown tonight. And now No. 4, Kanye West flips over a coin that bears his name. It`s called Coin-ye. It`s very clever. It`s like Bitcoin. It`s that new peer-to-peer currency that has everybody talking. Mr. West is not amused, and he has issued a cease and desist order for the company to stop making Coin-ye.

Kanye`s lawyers don`t want people to think that Kanye would put his own face on money. Like that would be so hard to believe. The company behind Coin-ye is not scared one bit. In fact, they actually moved up their launch date to today instead of dropping their plans like Kanye`s lawyers wanted them to. We`ll have to see who wins in this particularly Kanye showdown. That`s pretty clever.

Now it is our No. 3 must-see, must-share story. Superman versus Bigfoot. No, it`s not a monster movie. It`s Dean Cain, who played Superman of course in the `90s massive TV hit show, "Lois and Clark," and he has got Bigfoots on the brain.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAIN: There`s $10 million at stake if any of you can provide the definitive DNA and visual proof of Bigfoot.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Visual proof, I say! Dean is the host of "$10 Million Bigfoot Bounty." It debuts this Friday on Spike TV. What you`ll get is teams of hunters looking for the mythical creature. But has bigfoot already been found? Dean is with me in New York. Dean, we have big breaking news today.

CAIN: I heard about this.

HAMMER: I don`t want to burst any bubbles, but let me tell everybody that a hunter in Texas is now claiming that he has shot and killed bigfoot and he says he`s going to take bigfoot`s body on a national tour. He released this image of what he says is the mighty sasquatch. What do you think? Bigfoot or big BS?

CAIN: I would be willing to bet some money, possibly $10 million, that it is not the real deal. This -- I believe that this gentleman is known to our producers and such and I think has been around some bigfoot hoaxes in the past. I`m not going to say that without a doubt that`s not. Because I don`t know. But I would say without a doubt, I don`t believe --

HAMMER: You have to say --

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: It screws up the premise of your show.

CAIN: But it kind of looks like the guy from "Harry and the Hendersons," doesn`t it?

HAMMER: If anybody remembers that, that actually is what it looks like.

CAIN: I`m just saying (inaudible), I am a little frightened.

HAMMER: You said this guy has done these kinds of hoaxes before. He`s been accused of them.

CAIN: On our show, we can tell you in six hours whether it`s the real deal.

HAMMER: You guys actually debate the existence of the real bigfoot. And that actually played out on your show. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAIN: How many people here have seen bigfoot? How about your sighting?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I have shot and killed two of them.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We saw something. So I shot it. And we look over and we see two little ones, maybe about ye (ph) high, come out of the brush. So we take off after them. I decided that I was going to kill the little ones just for proof.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think Justin is full of (EXPLETIVE DELETED). I don`t believe him for a second.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I love that you`re doing this show. Are you a little frightened of going into the woods with these guys?

CAIN: They`re not armed. I am -- I`m not armed, actually.

HAMMER: The guns they have are to extract DNA.

CAIN: Those are biopsy dart guns. A biopsy dart gun will sting like the dickens, but it`s not going to --it`s not going to kill you. We could not let them be armed, but they are armed with the biopsy dart gun. You could get a DNA sample on that.

We had armed people with us in case they decided to turn the biopsy dart guns on me. But no, we were not there to harm bigfoot were we to encounter him, but to rather prove his existence. Him or her.

HAMMER: I can`t wait to see what happens. There is a one-word answer. Superman still beats bigfoot, correct?

CAIN: Absolutely. Come on, man. That`s a no brainer.

HAMMER: Great to see you, my friend.

CAIN: Absolutely. By the way, A.J. looks as good in person as he does on TV. Because I`m always on a remote. And I never get to see you in person. What a handsome fellow.

HAMMER: Coming from him. Look at me, I`m blushing. You can`t tell with all the makeup. "$10 Million Bigfoot Bounty" with the lovely looking Dean Cain as well, debuts Friday on Spike TV. I don`t even know what to say.

Neither Superman nor bigfoot nor a new year Kanye fight made the cut for No. 1, so what did? Big reveal seconds away. This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Our top ten countdown of today`s must-see, must-share stories, now down to the final two. And at No. 2, a startling superhero confession, coming from "Twilight" star, Kellan Lutz. Can you imagine if Kellan had starred as Thor instead of Chris Hemsworth?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANTHONY HOPKINS, ACTOR: You`re unworthy of these realms! You`re unworthy of your title! You`re unworthy!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: SBT can now reveal that that kind of, almost happened. Kellan just confessed to us that he went for the role of Thor, but didn`t get it. He also wanted to be Captain America, lost that to Chris Evans, but that set him up for his dream job, starring in the new movies, "The Legend of Hercules."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KELLAN LUTZ, ACTOR: I`ve gone out for "Thor," and Chris Hemsworth is Thor. And I`ve gone out for movies like that, Captain America, and Chris Evans is Captain America. I liked those projects. Hercules for me was my childhood superhero. I love Hercules.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: See, it worked out. I actually think it might have been interesting to see Hercules take on some of the vampires from "Twilight," but that`s just me. Kellan`s new movie, "The Legend of Hercules," will open on Friday.

So it`s time now for the big reveal of what`s No. 1 in our top ten countdown. It is the lovely Jessica Simpson. Getting real with brand new confessions about her post-baby body. This whole trend of being bikini ready just weeks after giving birth, to me, is something I find really disturbing. Jessica got all kinds of grief after she gained a lot of weight when she had her first child. But to everyone`s surprise, she just ignored the haters, she lost the weight on her terms, using Weight Watchers. Now six months after having her second child, Jess is debuting her latest Weight Watchers ad, and the best part is she looks healthy and she looks really happy. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SIMPSON: Remember how simple life was when we were little? When our only job was having fun? Well, it`s feeling pretty simple again thanks to Weight Watchers new simple start.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: She looks great. With me now, entertainment journalist Raina Seitel. You know, I look at this, and I see something that is a whole lot more inspiring than those impossible selfies, post-baby from somebody like Kim Kardashian.

RAINA SEITEL, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALISM: I`m so glad you said that. And you`re smiling, and (inaudible) it`s good, she`s real, she looks authentic when she speaks. She feels good about her body, and finally we see somebody that`s not airbrushed and a size zero or negative. You know Kim Kardashian was waiting to post that. She probably took that selfie of her behind like ten times before -- 20 before posting it. But Jessica Simpson`s real, she loves her kids, and she`s proud of the weight she`s lost and she`s proud of the journey it`s taken her.

HAMMER: It puts your body -- I don`t know from personal experience, but I know enough that your body goes through quite the ringer, especially when you have kids that are 14 months apart. She was pregnant for the better part of a couple of years. She reportedly gained about 60 pounds while she was pregnant. And she talked about it very frankly this morning on "Good Morning America" and how she felt and dealt with it.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You`ve been very vocal, you put on a pretty good amount of weight, which, by the way you`re supposed to when you get pregnant.

SIMPSON: Well, yes, I just let myself have whatever I wanted. I didn`t care. When I was pregnant with Ace, my second, I had already been on Weight Watchers, and I`d already lost over 50 pounds, so I didn`t, I wasn`t as relaxed in my eating and everything than I was with Maxwell.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Good for her, right? We`re living in this time, Raina, where everybody is posting selfies of these almost impossible to attain images and body types and everything. I wish every celebrity was as honest as Jessica.

SEITEL: I agree, I think it`s very refreshing. And also, if you look at her Twitter page and her Instagram, a lot of people are really supporting her, saying how great she looks. So maybe we are on the upswing, but I do think that the media in general, you can see it on the mags this week. Whose body looks better after baby? I mean, it`s a competition. And finally, Jessica Simpson seems extremely authentic. She seems extremely happy, and she`s very real about this journey for her.

HAMMER: I hope she`s paying attention -- I mean, I hope that other celebrities are paying attention. And I hope that young women and girls are paying attention as well. She says she never wants her daughter to have to deal with what she had to deal with, which is really terrific. When you think about Jess going from her that whole airhead image of Chicken of the Sea, to what she is now, I think everybody should be really proud of her.

SEITEL: I agree. I think she`s a wonderful role model for girls everywhere. She`s really sort of come into her own, right? So the Chicken of the Sea was before her kids.

HAMMER: Now she is on her game. Let`s applaud Jessica Simpson.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: Next, wait until you see Alex Trebek`s rhymes on "Jeopardy." Alex covering the Notorious BIG.

(MUSIC)

Now think about Alex doing that. You got to hear Alex`s version, and you will in moments. This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Those lyrics and that song transformed the Notorious BIG into a rap icon. Biggie may already be a legend, but now he`s part of Jeopardy history. Yes, that Jeopardy. Alex Trebek actually rapped his way through an entire category on the show that featured classic lyrics from Biggie, the Beastie Boys and even Grandmaster Flash. You got to watch this SBT moment of awesomeness.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ALEX TREBEK, HOST, JEOPARDY: "Don`t push me because I`m close to the edge. I`m trying not to lose my head," rapped this pioneering Grandmaster.

"I made the change from a common thief to up close and personal with Robin Leach," rapped this Notorious guy.

"Another plane, another train, another bottle in the brain," the Beastie Boys rapped in "No Sleep Til Here."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What is Brooklyn? Did you get them all right? This hip-hop Jeopardy clip has gone wildly viral. On Deadspin.com, I saw this comment from Golden Pine (ph). He wrote, "Alex is still a better Canadian rapper than Drake." I think he was joking. I think that means Alex is officially gangsta.

Thank you for watching. You can catch SBT Monday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. HLN continues right now.
