Aired December 02, 2014 - 20:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

NANCY GRACE, HLN HOST: Breaking news tonight. He`s known as America`s dad, but comedian Bill Cosby doing damage control after yet another round

of sex assault allegations. Bombshell tonight. A high-profile reality star breaks down in tears, crying, shrieking, "Screw you, Bill `Monster`

Cosby," as she explains in graphic detail how Bill Cosby allegedly drugs and rapes her in a Lake Tahoe hotel room.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Screw you, Bill!

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Two more women joining others accusing Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct, their claims ranging from forced kissing to rape.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Put a lie detector test on Mr. Bill "Monster" Cosby!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: And live, Percy (ph), Arkansas. A 2-year-old baby boy vanishes from his own home?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Please bring him home.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Search and rescue teams...

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: ... are searching everything from drains to ditches. Still no sign of 2-year-old Malik Drummond.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He didn`t have no coat on. He just had his shoes on and a T-shirt.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Good evening. I`m Nancy Grace. I want to thank you for being with us.

Bombshell tonight. He`s known as America`s dad, all right. But tonight, comedian Bill Cosby doing damage control after yet another round of sex

assault claims, a high-profile reality star breaking down in tears, crying, shrieking out, "Screw you, Bill `Monster` Cosby," as she explains in

graphic detail how Bill Cosby allegedly drugs and rapes her in a Lake Tahoe hotel room.

I want you to hear it for yourself. Take a listen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JANICE DICKINSON, COSBY ACCUSER: I believed the tone of his voice -- How are you? I`m going to offer you a part on "The Cosby Show." I want you to

fly here, and you know, get here, you know, in the next day or two.

I took the bait. I jumped at the this opportunity.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You`re excited.

DICKINSON: I was so psyched. I was just rarin` ready to go. He also promised me, I hear you`re going to be -- you want a singing career, I can

help you with that.

So when I arrived in Tahoe, I was met by Bill and a gentleman that worked for him named Stu Gardner (ph) -- Stu B (ph), as his name was. And he was

his musical director. And I got -- I -- I remember him saying to me at this dinner, when he offered me red wine -- what kind of man offers me red

wine when I get out of rehab? I was susceptible and very nervous and excited...

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He knew about your situation, how fragile -- potentially fragile you were at the time.

DICKINSON: He called me in rehab. He knew what I was in rehab for, for alcohol. So that`s -- that in itself is really messed up.

Mr. Gardner -- Stu Gardner left the dinner table. I was alone with him. And I had menstrual cramps. I had menstrual -- my -- you know, stomach

cramps. He said, Oh, I`ve got the something for that, and he gave me a pill. But if he`s giving me a pill, I trust the guy. I trusted Bill

Cosby.

It was red wine. It was a pill. And then when I started to black out -- I had a Polaroid camera on me. That`s when I took several photographs with

the Polaroid, when I had one of the first Polaroid cameras. And you know, I just remembered shooting these pictures and having them on me in my room

the next morning when I woke up.

The last thing I remember, I had blacked out, and Cosby mounting me, like the monster that he was. And I was thinking, What the heck? What the --

and I just remembered passing out. But I remember more specifically waking up and that he -- there was a lot of pain in -- downstairs, there was semen

all over me, and that my pajama bottoms were off and the top was opened. And I at that point -- fight or flight -- I just packed up, and I got the

hell out of there.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: That is reality TV star -- and she dubs herself "the original supermodel" -- Janice Dickinson, describing what she says Bill Cosby did to

her in a Lake Tahoe hotel room.

Joining me tonight, Barbara Bowman, who also says Cosby sexually assaulted her. Tonight, Cosby reeling after yet another round of sex assault

allegations. What will it take? Is there anything that can be done to actually criminally prosecute any of these claims?

With me now, Barbara Bowman. Ms. Bowman, thank you for being with us.

BARBARA BOWMAN, COSBY ACCUSER: Thank you, Nancy. Appreciate being here.

GRACE: Ms. Bowman, I understand the public`s original skepticism when somebody comes forward and says, Bill Cosby raped me. Well, that`s not how

America knows Bill Cosby. People think they know him. He`s been invited into their homes for years and years and years. He`s the Jell-O pudding

guy, for Pete`s sake! But then, when it`s two women, then three women, then 10 women, then 12 women, at what point do you start believing the

women?

When were you allegedly first assaulted by Cosby?

BOWMAN: When or where?

GRACE: Yes, when?

BOWMAN: I was -- I can`t exactly tell you the date, but I was 17, 18 and 19 years old.

GRACE: What happened when the first assault occurred?

BOWMAN: I can tell you this, that when he came into my hotel room in his robe at 6:00 o`clock in the morning, kneeling to me, waking me up to say

good-bye, and I had no recollection of going to bed that night and wondering how this man -- why he was in my hotel room in a robe and

lovingly saying good-bye, in a loving way, like a dad would do -- like, if my husband went in to say good-bye to my daughter before a business trip --

kneel down, say, Good-bye, honey, have a great day, see you later.

And I thought, Well, why did he come in my room? But I thought, Well, that was very sweet. So I would say that that was probably one of the first

recollections, but there were times it was very, very distinct in New York City at his brownstone apartment, in Reno, Nevada, in Atlantic City.

GRACE: You know, when you say it`s very distinct, I understand it may be distinct in your mind, but what you`re telling me is that he came and

kissed you good-bye wearing his robe. That is not a sex assault.

BOWMAN: That action`s not.

GRACE: So were you sexually assaulted by Cosby?

BOWMAN: I can say that I was sexually assaulted by Cosby.

GRACE: All right. What happened?

BOWMAN: Which time would you like to talk about?

GRACE: Well, the first time you realized that you had actually been assaulted, sexually assaulted by Cosby.

BOWMAN: Well, I`m going to talk about the New York brownstone incident.

GRACE: OK. All right.

BOWMAN: I was invited over for dinner and to go through some acting exercises. And when I arrived, there were staffers there. There was a

chef and she was preparing dinner. And we had dinner, and there was a glass of red wine sitting for me, which I drank, had one glass of wine.

And the next thing I know, I`m in the bathroom, and I am throwing up in the toilet. I am wearing just a white man`s T-shirt that was not mine, my

panties, which were disarrayed and bunched up, and he was leaning over me, pulling my hair out of my face so that I could throw up and not get it in

my hair, and was saying, It`s OK. It`s OK. Don`t worry. Come over here. Come to the couch. Rest.

And I was just, What happened to me? What happened to me? And he said, You don`t want to ask those questions. Just stop asking questions. Just

need to feel better. You threw up. You probably drank too much.

Well, that was not true. I was not a heavy drinker. I had one glass of wine. I felt just -- I felt wrong. There was something definitely wrong

with me. I was undressed. There was something wrong with that scene. There was no reason that I would go over there to have a very casual dinner

and work on acting exercises and wake up half dressed, throwing up in the toilet.

And by the way, when this was over, he said, There`s a cab waiting for you outside. And I got in the cab I and went home.

GRACE: With me is Barbara Bowman, who is coming forward in the wake of other women claiming that Bill Cosby, America`s dad, molested them, raped

them.

To Alan Duke, national correspondent, Radaronline.com. Alan, you heard what she just said. She`s clothed. She comes to the brownstone. There

are other people there. She gets a glass of red wine.

The next thing she knows, she`s got the on a man`s T-shirt, a white T- shirt, her underwear all scrunched up, and she`s vomiting with Bill Cosby holding her hair back so she can vomit.

Now, you know what, Alan? When I was prosecuting for all those years, when you hear a detail of that nature, it has a ring of truth to it. It`s very

difficult to make up that type of a detail.

ALAN DUKE, RADARONLINE.COM: It is. We`re hearing a lot of details. And I`m getting people calling me who are making some claims, too, that I`m not

even reporting yet because I`m trying to corroborate those details. So there are other accusers out there that you`re not even hearing about yet

because you`ve got the to match up date and time and place.

But some of them -- you have video, for example...

GRACE: Well, another thing -- what you just said, Alan -- you heard Barbara say, I can`t tell you the exact date.

DUKE: Right.

GRACE: That`s not uncommon when you`re prosecuting a case. People, you know, months, weeks later, they can`t tell you the exact date, but they can

go, Well, it was in this month because it was snowing outside and the Christmas tree was up. And it was in this place, and this is what

happened.

And indictments do not require a specific date. Just because a victim cannot remember a specific date does not mean anything legally.

DUKE: When it was 30 or 40 years ago, memories can be very vague.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I said, You raped me, Bill Cosby. You raped me in 1982 in Lake Tahoe.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The stories and the graphic detail have gained traction.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The last thing I remember, until the following morning when I woke up naked in his bed with him next to me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And my next memory is feeling drugged and him having sex with me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It really affected these women!

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He asked me, Would you like to come see my show? Of course I would.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I took them, didn`t know what they were, didn`t even ask. I just was intimidated, I guess, and I took them. Then my next

memory is feeling drugged, and him having sex with me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She just looked at me and she said, Well, maybe he`ll take care of you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That`s when I got the Western Union. The secretary called me up the next day and she said, Go to Western Union. You`ve been

sent something from Bill Cosby.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Bill Cosby`s camp reeling after yet another round of sex abuse allegations launched at America`s dad, Bill Cosby.

Straight out to Candace Trunzo, senior news editor, Mailonline.com. Candace, how many women will it take until someone tries, attempts, a

criminal prosecution?

CANDACE TRUNZO, MAILONLINE.COM (via telephone): Well, you know, Nancy, there are 17 women who have come forward so far. And the issue that we see

is, we`ve gone you through all of these statute of limitations laws for each state in which these women claim they were raped. And unfortunately,

there are at the this moment, that we know of, no women who have come forward who can actually pursue the rape allegations in court.

GRACE: Unleash the lawyers. Joining me, Jeff Gold, defense attorney out of Atlanta, with Parag Shah, defense attorney and author of "The Code."

First of all, to you, Parag Shah. I`m sure that both of you veteran defense attorneys are familiar with tolling (ph) a statute of limitations.

A statute of limitations is this. Say, for instance, you`ve got an armed robbery. You have, say, five to seven to ten years to report the armed

robbery. If you don`t do it within that period of time, the statute has passed, the statute of limitations, and you can no longer bring your case.

That`s what we`re talking about.

However, there are exceptions. You can toll (ph) the statute or extend the statute of limitations. Now, Parag Shah, one of the ways to toll a statute

is, for instance, repressed memory, that you didn`t have a way to remember it, i.e., you were drugged, and then a period of time later -- and it can

be years -- you recall what happens at the that time, you can then report the rape. Isn`t that true?

PARAG SHAH, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: There is a discovery rule, where at the time you discover that a criminal act has occurred and you`ve been violated, at

that time, the statute of limitations can begin to run. And so the real question would be, in these women`s cases, did the statute, in fact,

toll...

GRACE: Right.

SHAH: ... and at what point did they actually know?

GRACE: Exactly. What about it, Gold?

JEFF GOLD, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Well, in Nevada, for example, where Lake Tahoe -- half of it -- is, you have to report it to the police. That`s

what their legislature said. If you report it, we don`t care if we find the guy or not, it could be forever, but within four years, you have to

report it. This wasn`t reported. It doesn`t have the indicia of reliability that society wants.

GRACE: Put him up. Put him up. I don`t know what you`re talking about society because what I want is the truth. And I don`t know if your hearing

device was hooked up, but if you heard Barbara Bowman just then describing -- you know what? Let`s go back to Barbara Bowman, who says America`s dad,

Bill Cosby, sexually assaulted her.

Ms. Bowman, when I first started hearing the stories recently claiming that Bill Cosby had attacked them, I was skeptical. I took it with a box of

salt because I thought, Why are they -- why is this lady coming forward now? Why didn`t she report it to police? In fact, I was agitated because

I had two choices. One, what she was saying was true and a rapist would walk free because she didn`t go to police. Or -- and somebody else would

get raped. Or two, that it was a lie, and it was all just a money grab.

So many women have come forward and personally told me their stories, Barbara, there`s no way to escape the reality that at least some of these

stories are true, and this is not a money grab. I`ve spoken to a victim, an alleged victim, who was approached by a tabloid years ago, offered her

thousands of dollars. She said no. She didn`t want her story told like that. She has just come forward.

Please explain, if you can, to the defense attorneys why you did not go forward at the time and call police.

BOWMAN: Well, first of all, I did tell my agent right away, and she did nothing about it. That led me to believe that the two trusted individuals

that I had been placed in their hands, I couldn`t certainly trust them. Who else was going to believe me? He was Dr. Huxtable, after all, the most

influential man in the country.

Eventually, I had a friend who did talk me into going to an attorney. I felt safe enough to do that. And that attorney laughed me out of his

office, literally laughed at the me and told me that my claim was preposterous.

So after all of that, being that broken down and that scared and that -- feeling so full of shame and fear, I just said, I`m going to get on with my

life. No one`s going to believe this after this. I`ve given it my best shot. No one`s believing me. I have to shelve this and get on with my

life.

In 2005, `04, `05 and `06, when Andrea Constand`s (ph) case came up -- she filed a lawsuit, and the 13 of us were supposed to testify on her behalf.

And she ended up settling with Bill Cosby. So none of us had a chance to tell our story.

At that time is when I decided I was not going to be a Jane Doe. I said, I have been living in silence and fear and shame for 17 years as it was. I`m

going to speak out because I`m going to -- I`m going to support this woman. No one else believes her as no one believed me...

GRACE: So that is why you finally came forward.

BOWMAN: That`s right...

GRACE: Everybody -- Barbara Bowman...

(CROSSTALK)

BOWMAN: ... came from. I did this for them, really. I said, If I can sit and do this and not be afraid anymore, maybe I can help others to have

courage to come forward and tell their story because they were too scared. And I said, If I can pioneer this and help some of them, that`s what I`m

going to do.

GRACE: Take a listen to Janice Dickinson.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DICKINSON: I remember the memory. I remember the loss -- the loss of -- and being robbed of my -- of my innocence. And I believed the women that I

haven`t been in contact with, but I believe their story because it was exactly the same thing that happened to me.

While I can`t speak for them as a whole, I can only speak for myself as an individual. And as an individual woman, I am Janice Dickinson, and I am

the world`s first supermodel. This took place in 1982, and it took place in a hotel room in Lake Tahoe, and that Cosby was wearing a bathrobe with

patchwork, you know, velour and a velvet the hat. And he was wearing a gold watch. And I remember the pajamas and I remember the semen.

There was a lot of pain, a lot of semen. I didn`t do the right thing. I didn`t report it. I didn`t go to rape counseling. And you know what? I

was afraid. But I`m not afraid anymore. So I now am strong and I have support, and I will go on with my story until my last breath.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

People -- screw you, Bill! You know damn well, Fredricka, that he`s not going to take any responsibility on this, and neither are his attorneys.

He says innuendo. I said, You raped me, Bill Cosby, you raped me in 1982 in Lake Tahoe.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: The camp of America`s dad, Bill Cosby, reeling after a brand-new round of allegations of sex assault. With me, Barbara Bowman, who says

Cosby assaulted her sexually. Alan Duke, Candace Trunzo with us.

OK, Alan Duke, what, if anything, can be done to take these cases to court?

DUKE: I don`t know if anything can. I think this is all up to us journalists in the media to bring this out there. And I`m aware of no law

enforcement investigations, no civil actions that the statute of limitations hasn`t run out on. So -- and there is no class action lawsuit

coming in California as had been reported by some online organizations.

So there may be some lawsuits attempted, but not really. I think it`s just something we`re going to be talking about and something that`s going to, of

course, do great harm to Bill Cosby`s legacy. It already has.

GRACE: OK. If you don`t believe Barbara Bowman, if you don`t believe Janice Dickinson, listen to this --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOAN TARSHIS, COSBY ACCUSER: I went out to Westbury with him, had something to drink in the limo, had a drink up in his room before we left,

had a drink in the limo and when I got to Westbury, I started feeling very, very drugged. And I told the limousine driver that I needed to go back to

the car because I couldn`t even stand up.

And that is really the last thing I remember until the following morning when I woke up naked in his bed with him next to me and sunlight coming in,

glaring in -- glaring in through the windows. That`s all I remember.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: That is Miss Tarshis. If you don`t believe that, take a listen to this. This is the "Incredible Hulk`s" wife.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

CARLA FERRIGNO, WIFE OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK(via telephone): We`re playing pool. He wins. I said, where did my friend go -- whatever the name is, I

don`t remember now, I said, where did he go? He said, I don`t know, he`s probably in the bathroom or something.

I had to pool -- the pool stick in my hand. He walks over to me and grabs me. I thought he was just going to take it out of my hand. He grabs me,

pulls me like really tight to him, and kisses me on the mouth like really, really rough.

And I -- you know, I was a tough girl. I just took my hands, and I pushed him away. I said, "what are you doing?" and he said -- he started coming

towards me. I said, "Hey!" I said -- he said, "what`s wrong?" and I said, "Well, I`ve never been kissed by a black man before."

He said, "How was it?" and I said, "it`s no different." He said, "Yes? You wouldn`t have said that if it weren`t different" and then he came at me

again. And I just pushed and ran. I jumped. I got out of his way, ran down the hall. And this guy was coming out of one of the rooms. And I

said, "I want to go home." He took me home.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

GRACE: And now live to Searcy, Arkansas. A 2-year-old baby boy vanishes from his own home.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No sign of 2-year-old Malik Drummond.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Search volunteers are persistent in their efforts.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He`s somewhere wet, hungry, dehydrated.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Joining me right now from KARK, David Goins. David, I understand that after we aired Malik`s story last night on our program, three or four

credible tips came in. And right now, even after it was announced the search was over and called off, the search has now reignited. David Goins,

what`s happening?

DAVID GOINS, REPORTER, KARK TV (via telephone): Keep in mind, Nancy, the volunteer search did not stop. That stayed the same. The professional

search for law enforcement has continued, has continued into the afternoon and evening here in Searcy.

And even locations north where I`m at now, which is just off the banks of the Little Red River, which is a small trout fishing river near the city of

Searcy.

Essentially the reason they came out today, they searched ponds, other bodies of water during this nine-day search for 2-year-old Malik Drummond.

What changed today was a cadaver dog picking up a positive scent based off of a tip they received.

So they`ve been searching in the water through most of the afternoon, but still have not found anything. But a sing that leads, credible leads as we

talked about, solid investigative leads are coming in.

GRACE: OK, hold on. Everybody with me and taking your calls from KARK on the scene is David Goins. David, you`re saying that some credible tips

came in. A search is in place right now and cadaver dogs have been called out.

Also you mentioned the Wilmette River. Where is that in relation to Baby Malik`s home?

GOINS: The Little Red River I would say is four to five miles north of Searcy and where Malik Drummond lives. So not terribly far out the city

limits, maybe even a little bit closer than that. But certainly a rural area utilized again by trout fishers in the area.

But yes, the search has continued for from a law enforcement standpoint. It was really something they wanted to emphasize yesterday. There was

obviously a lot of attention geared for the volunteer search ending.

And that is significant because of the amount of people looking for Malik, but that the investigative search, which includes Arkansas state police

and, if necessary, FBI is still very much a part of this.

But the search of the Little Red River, at least at this point late in the afternoon, has not produced anything. But the search from areas where the

cadaver dog picked up a positive scent will continue.

GRACE: David Goins, KARK, where did the cadaver dog pick up a scent?

GOINS: Essentially, if I were looking at this body of water, Nancy, it`s about a quarter mile across and kind of in the middle of the river is where

they`ve been searching the depth there about 15 to 20 feet. And essentially they have three divers gridding, checking each box to make sure the murky

water is searched thoroughly. And that`s what happening right now.

GRACE: Let`s see a shot of the home where little Malik Drummond was last seen. He`s only 2 years old, did not have shoes on at the time. His

family believes he left the home. Now the home is a duplex. Observe.

No one heard anything unusual whatsoever. We`ve got a little bit of a conflict in the story. The dad was in the home asleep. The stepmother was

either taking a bath or giving Malik`s 2-year-old little twin sister a bath.

One of the two -- somebody`s having a bath when the stepmother comes out of the bathroom, Malik gone. Temperatures extremely low. Where is Malik?

Right now we are looking at the story from every angle. Also joining us in addition to David Goins with KARK, also with us KSMD`s co-host of the wake-

up call, Grant Carey. Grant, what can you tell us? What broke overnight? Why has the search resumed? Why have they focused on the Little Red River?

What do stepmommy and daddy have to say?

GRANT CAREY, CO-HOST OF "THE WAKEUP CALL," KSMD (via telephone): Well, Nancy, talked to the Searcy P.D.`s PIO this afternoon. And he basically

said what David said, that based on a tip they are searching that Little Red River area, around Riverside Park. It`s a very secluded area.

Obviously this is an ominous turn to the story. I think everyone probably after a few days of searching realized something wasn`t adding up. There`s

still a lot of hope in this town. No, at the same time, this is not good.

GRACE: Let`s take it from the beginning. David Goins, KARK, Grant Carey, KSMD, with us. David, give me the timeline as we know it. Everyone, won`t

you please help us find this 2-year-old little boy? David, what do we know about when Malik goes missing?

GOINS: Malik went missing on November 23rd, which is a Sunday afternoon. Nine days ago right now, late afternoon, early evening and hasn`t been seen

since. The search started immediately afterwards, probably within 30 to 45 minutes.

As we talked about on the show and certainly here locally on our broadcast, an extensive volunteer search brought in hundreds of volunteers, not be

only from the state of Arkansas, but surrounding states, a volunteer search that wrapped up yesterday.

But the search by law enforcement does continue today and does include the Little Red River here.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

GRACE: Welcome back. For those of you just joining us, we are joining the search for this 2-year-old baby boy who disappears from his own home, 2-

year-old Malik, in the home that you`re seeing here. Stepmommy giving the twin sister, just 2, a bath. Dad asleep.

When little Malik apparently gets out the door without being noticed. No sign of the child. Some searches called off. But after our program last

night, more tips come in. Searches have resumed to find the 2-year-old child. To Mark Klaas, founder of Klaas Kids Foundation, what do we do,

Mark?

MARK KLAAS, FOUNDER, KLAAS KIDS FOUNDATION: Well, first of all, Nancy, let`s be clear that a little bit, a 2-year-old little boy, in inclement

weather, did not walk five or six miles to a river. If in fact he had wandered off, he would have been located very, very quickly.

So that`s a very clear indication that something else is going on here. Law enforcement is obviously investigating this as a criminal matter. And

I -- hopefully it will only be a matter of time before they locate the little child, and I`m afraid to say that they`ll probably locate his

remains and not a living child.

GRACE: You know what? I`m still holding out hope. I don`t understand it. I don`t know what happened. I know we`ve been surprised before and a

miracle. That`s what I`m hoping for tonight. The tip line here is 501- 268-3531. The search for Little Malik is on. Can you help us? David Goins with KARK, what more do we know tonight?

GOINS (on camera): Well, at this point, Nancy, as we now have a picture up for you, we`re on the bank of the little red river. That`s where law

enforcement cars are set up and the river is down there just a little bit. You see a picture there.

Essentially this search has continued into the Little Red River. This is not the first time that they have searched bodies of water. But it is the

first time that they`ve searched exactly here in the last 24 hours or so as we mentioned.

There are volunteer search teams out here from various states. One of those, a dog did hit on a positive scent. But to verify that they brought

out their own dogs today. Again, a verified police cadaver dog did pick up a scent on this body of water hence, why they`re searching on this body of

water today -- Nancy.

GRACE: You know, this could mean anything. This does not mean the child`s body is in the water. It could mean anything from a band-aid with blood on

it to any type of human tissue in that water or nothing.

Right now with me on the scene, David Goins, KARK, he is there in the Little Red River. Do you have any idea, David Goins, what the tips are?

What are the new tips that came in overnight?

GOINS: You know, Nancy, at this point, the validity or the productiveness of those tips, not really clear at this point. I`m working off the

understanding that the search here today is based off of a volunteer search of cadaver dogs from an out of state team that didn`t have a certified

police level cadaver dog.

They were not going to send in their search dive teams off that alone. So they did bring out their own cadaver dog teams. We`re talking about the

White County Sheriff`s Department in which the city of Searcy sits in here in the state of Arkansas.

That process took the most of Tuesday morning and then Tuesday afternoon and now stretching into the evening. That search in the Little Red River

has commenced via divers throughout the afternoon. As you alluded to it, just because the cadaver dog picks up a scent, it is not a sign of anything

other than that.

A place that needs to be searched, something that investigators have done over the last nine days in various bodies of water throughout Searcy.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

GRACE: We`re live in Arkansas in the search for 2-year-old little Malik Drummond. His parents say he disappeared from his own home as mommy gave

his twin sister a bath. Dad was asleep and they believe the boy walked out the door. The search is on tonight.

Joining us there at the scene where the search is including Arkansas`s Little Red River. David Goins, KARK, David, a lot of people are saying the

story doesn`t fit together.

Now, I know children at age 2 can open a door. They can open a lock. They can open a lock that involves a key. They can do it. I`ve seen them do

it. What about the story is not fitting together according to court watchers?

GOINS: Well, at this point the story is that this 2-year-old was last seen in his living room, perhaps. He walked away. That was the ostracism under

which most investigators were searching for this little boy.

After nine days, as we talked about, he would have been found at this point had he simply walked off. So the thought now is one of a couple of things

could have happened. Someone could have taken him out of the home. He could have walked off.

GRACE: But wait. You told me there was no forced entry -- David, you told me there was no forced entry. No suggestion that anyone --

GOINS: Correct. An unlocked door --

GRACE: Who can place the child alive prior to that night? Prior to that afternoon when he goes missing, who last saw the baby alive other than the

parents?

GOINS: Nobody. The last person who saw Malik Drummond was his father`s girlfriend. That was in the living room of their home on Park Street in

Searcy on the night of November 23rd.

GRACE: To psychologist, Karen Stark. Weigh in.

KAREN STARK, PSYCHOLOGIST: His father`s girlfriend saw him alive and it is all very confusing because somebody was giving a bath to his sister? I

don`t know. This really is very strange. I really don`t understand how he could have gotten so far if he wound up at that river.

And I know that kids move quickly. But you would think somebody was more engaged. He would all of a sudden be missing like that. So I don`t know.

It is a terrible, terrible story. I`m sure jump setting for everyone.

GRACE: To Grant Carey and David Goins, we are on the search joining you two. Let`s remember American hero, Army Corporal Jacob Flisher, 25, St.
