A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," today`s top three stunning twists. Tom Hanks and the runaway jury?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I have to say I have very impressed with Mr. Hanks. Based on everything, he seemed like he would be a very fair jury.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The two-time Oscar winner is at the center of a courtroom drama. So why is the defense attorney claiming jury tampering? What`s the No. 1 twist that left us all stunned today?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AISHA TYLER, CO-HOST, "THE TALK": The doctor said, "I just -- based on what we`re seeing here, I just don`t think this is going to happen for you." The hardest part is I really love my husband. He`s such a good person and he would be such a good father. You know?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Brand-new true confessions from "The Talk." Co-host Aisha Tyler revealing her emotional struggle to have baby. "The Talk" show co-host Cheryl Underwood right here to help us countdown today`s top five true confessions. Which one will top that list? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT starts right now.

Hello and thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer with my guest co-host, Natasha Curry, who of course, anchors "WEEKEND EXPRESS" every weekend here on HLN. And Natasha, there is certainly no shortage of drama tonight.

NATASHA CURRY, CO-HOST: No, that`s true, A.J. Today, we`re counting down today`s top three stunning twists.

HAMMER: I want to kick things off with No. 3 in our "SHOWBIZ Countdown." It is Tom Hanks and the runaway jury.

Yes, the two-time Oscar winner was just doing his civic duty. He was placed on the jury for domestic violence case, and then the stunning twist. The case got derailed after it was revealed that a prosecutor approached Hanks to thank him for his service.

And now the defendant`s charges have been reduced significantly, and everybody is trying to figure out why in the world that prosecutor would take that risk.

With me tonight entertainment reporter and attorney, Henry Miller. And with me in New York City, Sunny Hostin, who`s a former federal prosecutor and CNN analyst.

So guys, the defendant`s charge was reduced from domestic violence to simply disturbing the peace. He was facing a year in jail. Now it`s a pretty easy $150 fine and a traffic ticket.

Sunny, to you first. It is crazy to think this that was because of the prosecutor thanking Hanks. If Hanks hadn`t been on the jury do you think the case would have ended with this kind of a stunning twist?

HOSTIN: It could have. You don`t know how your case is going until you`re in your case. And it`s quite possible that the government thought, "You know what? The case wasn`t going so well." Now here`s our chance to strike some sort of deal.

He`ll get some kind of infraction, something on his record. So it`s quite possible.

But I`ve got to tell you, I mean, who doesn`t like Tom Hanks? He seems like a very reasonable person. I probably would have put him on the jury. But prosecutors know no one from your office, certainly no one from your team can speak to someone on a jury. So this was really a sort of Witness 101 mistake made by the government. And I`m sure the person that did that may be looking for a job.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, let`s make it perfectly clear: This was not in any way Tom Hanks`s fault. And I don`t think anything ever is Tom Hanks`s fault, quite frankly.

You know, Henry, it seems really surprising to me that a prosecutor would actually risk her case just to talk to a celebrity.

HENRY MILLER, ENTERTAINMENT REPORTER/ATTORNEY: It`s extraordinary that the prosecutor`s done this. But it just shows the allure of A-list Hollywood celebs. It seems like no one can resist them, even if their job can be on the line.

But there`s a serious side here, which is that, you know, a defendant who was facing charges of domestic violence has now escaped with just $150 fine. In doing this the prosecutor really seems like she`s let down the people in her community, because that`s a really serious problem there.

HAMMER: Yes. And even though it`s not Tom Hanks`s fault, I bet he still feels badly about the whole thing.

This leaves us at No. 2 on our "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of today`s top three stunning twists. And Natasha, we have Michael Lohan finally, finally admitting to something that, quite frankly, so many people suspected for a long time.

CURRY: Yes, he did, A.J. Lindsay Lohan`s dad, Michael, just failed a lie detector test on the show "The Test," and then he admitted that he was paid money to publically release audio of an awful fight between Lindsay and her mom, Dina, last October.

Now, Lindsay placed a call to her dad in complete hysterics, claiming that she was being kidnapped by Dina, and she even told her dad on the call that Dina was on cocaine, a claim that she later said was a lie. Well, Michael and Dina just appeared on "The Test" together. And, well, take a listen what happened when he tried to explain himself.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MICHAEL LOHAN, LINDSAY LOHAN`S FATHER: After I put the recording public, after I put it public, why did Dina make Lindsay go to the press and take that back? Who would make their kid -- who would make their kid go to the press and say they lied after recording something like that?

DINA LOHAN, LINDSAY LOHAN`S MOTHER: I didn`t make anyone do anything.

M. LOHAN: The reason why is to prove that Lindsay is not the one wrong here all the time.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: I don`t know. A.J., all of this stuff out in public. It just gets kind of messy.

But you know, Lindsay, she just did that interview with Oprah, telling everyone that she doesn`t blame her parents for her troubles. But let me ask you. This seems to prove quite the opposite, though. What do you think about all this?

MILLER: Well, I think the real problem here for Lindsay is that Michael and Dina, you know, cause her more problems than they solve. I mean, for years now, her dad, Michael, has been a thorn in her side. I mean, I think Dina, she struggles to do her best. I`ve had a number of long conversations with her, where she`s admitted that raising four kids in the limelight, sometimes it overwhelmed her.

But the real -- the real irony is that there were reports at the moment that Lindsay is paying a sober companion two and a half thousand dollars a day just to try to look out for her and make sure she doesn`t make these mistakes. And yet, you`ve got her mom and dad, who should be doing that, on a reality show, rowing and shouting at each other. It seems their priorities are totally backwards to me.

CURRY: Yes, it does to me, too. One thing I will say, though, about Michael, is that he took every lie detector test that the show asked him to take, including the one that proved that he wasn`t lying when he said that he was drug-free. But Dina, on the other hand, she refused to take a drug test. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you on drugs?

D. LOHAN: Absolutely not.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Would you like to take a test to prove you`re not?

D. LOHAN: Absolutely not. I don`t need to prove it. I`m here for him to come clean and try to reestablish a relationship with his children. And clearly, he`s not ready to do that.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Can you ask her again if she`ll take the test?

D. LOHAN: That`s why I came here. I never would have come here to begin with.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: All right. So she didn`t agree to it. Do you think that Lindsay should maybe limiting her visits with mom and dad? I mean, especially while getting herself back on track?

HOSTIN: You know, I often have said this about Lindsay Lohan. We all talk so badly about her. It`s a miracle that she`s done so well in life, giving the parenting or lack thereof that she`s had in her life. I mean, just to look at these two, you know, they`re so dysfunctional. They`re just such a mess. I can`t imagine that Lindsay should spend additional time with them.

But I`m a mom. You know, I`m a daughter. You love your parents no matter what, right? So this is -- this is really sad.

CURRY: Yes, and A.J., I think our panel, they make a good point, you know. It`s got to be tough to raise kids in the limelight like they`ve been doing. What do you think?

HAMMER: There`s no question about that. But, you know, I don`t think the limelight has a whole lot to do with a lot of the issues that are going on there. Let`s just hope this sort of puts a period at the end of them getting so involved and, quite frankly, going on TV to talk about it. I`ve never...

CURRY: I`m with you.

HAMMER: ... been comfortable with them doing that.

This brings us to the No. 1 big reveal on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of today`s top three stunning twists. George Zimmerman can`t seem to escape the shadow that really has followed him ever since his acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case. Now he his estranged wife, Shellie, is setting the record straight about that dramatic run-in with George, the one that led to her calling 911 frantically, suggesting that George had a gun. Shellie`s attorney spoke on her behalf. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KELLY SIMS, ATTORNEY FOR SHELLIE ZIMMERMAN: Shellie Zimmerman wants this relationship to end with a whimper and not a bang. And we tried not to talk about it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Certainly, an interesting choice of words there, Henry. Did this press conference do anything to you to make sense of the stunning turn in the Zimmerman saga?

MILLER: Well, I think it`s no accident at all that the words ending -- "not ending with a bang" were used. I think that was plainly obvious what he was driving at there.

To me George Zimmerman`s actions since the Trayvon Martin trial ended have been utterly baffling. I mean, he almost seems destined to follow in the footsteps of O.J. Simpson, who got away with murder, and he`s not serving 33 years in a Nevada prison for trying to settle an argument with a gun.

He`s been pulled over twice for speeding.

HAMMER: You know what, Sunny? You`ve been covering this thing from the start. How do you see the whole "he said, she said" in this particular case playing out?

HOSTIN: You know, what`s been remarkable to me about this incident, A.J., is that the Lake Mary Police Department in Florida said, you know, they declined, Shellie Zimmerman and her dad have declined prosecution. Last I checked, you never have a charging decision rest with the victim or alleged victim. It rests with the state`s attorney office. It rests with the D.A.

And so I suspect that we`ll hear more about this case. We should hear more about this case. There is a zero tolerance for domestic violence.

And I think that`s what`s so troubling to me, that if indeed, she was being truthful when she made that 911 call. And I`ve listened to it. It sounded like she wasn`t making it up to me.

HAMMER: Right.

HOSTIN: You know, this is something that we should see work its way through the process.

HAMMER: Yes. We`ll have to wait and see what happens. Sunny, Henry, thank you both so much.

From stunning twist to dramatic revelations tonight.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CEE-LO GREEN, MUSICIAN: I used to do what was called strong-arm robbery. I never actually -- it was never armed robbery. I was like give it to me.

HOWARD STERN, RADIO HOST: Did you ever beat someone up to the point where they were unconscious?

GREEN: Maybe they came to after we were gone.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: "The Voice" coach, Cee-Lo Green, sharing his dark past as a thug who actually beat and robbed people. He`s not the only star telling all tonight.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TYLER: You know, the doctor said, "I just -- based on what we`re seeing here, I just don`t think this is going to happen for you." You know, the hardest part is I really love my husband. He`s such a good person. And he would be such a good father, you know?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: From fertility issues to a steamy Hollywood affair. The co-host of The Talk not holding back. Cheryl Underwood from The Talk right here. So happy to have her, and I`m putting her in the "SHOWBIZ Hot Seat."

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC: MILEY CYRUS`S "WRECKING BALL")

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, yes. There it is. The video that`s got Miley mania going into overdrive tonight. It just broke Vevo`s record for the most views in 24 hours. But it`s also got a ton of people saying it`s all about Miley Cyrus using her sex appeal to sell her music yet again.

Tonight, Miley`s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, is coming to her defense. Now, while the social media world is drinking the Miley "haterade" tonight, her papa is getting her back today, Natasha. Billy Ray said that "Wrecking Ball" is just an impressive pop ballad no matter what Miley is or is not wearing.

CURRY: It definitely seems so, A.J. And we`ve former "Playboy" Playmate Kendra Wilkinson right here for the "Miley SHOWBIZ Showdown." Now, Kendra lived on camera in the Playboy Mansion with Hugh Hefner and built her career on being racy and shaking it like nobody`s business.

Girl, you can shake it. So I`m telling you, there`s nobody better to throw down for Miley`s sexy new video. Thank you, Kendra. Thanks for being on the show.

KENDRA WILKINSON, FORMER "PLAYBOY" PLAYMATE/REALITY TV STAR: Thanks for having me.

CURRY: You bet, girl. So Miley`s dad, country star Billy Ray Cyrus, he`s seriously got her back, saying that her clothing or lack thereof is beside the point. So let`s listen here to what he just told "Entertainment Tonight": "It wouldn`t have mattered if Miley would have worn jeans and a flannel shirt, a tux, or a nun`s habit. The song is a smash, and her performance vocally on the tune reflects her roots and sheer God-given talent."

So Kendra, as a former Playmate model, you know all about taking your clothes off to get attention. Do you agree with Billy Ray?

WILKINSON: I definitely agree. And that`s all that really matters is the support that she`s getting from her family. I know it sounds pretty weird, but I think she`s doing it. You know, she`s living in a stage. She`s wanting to represent who she is and wanting to express her true feelings and, you know, with the support with her dad behind her back is just, you know, it`s almost -- it`s a good thing. You know? I mean, it would have been worse if he wasn`t about it.

And I consider it art, and so does he. And he gets it. He`s an artist himself. So, you know, we should all look at it as like art.

And you know what`s crazy is that these songs that Miley -- that Miley is writing and performing are actually really good songs. So it`s not like she`s doing this out of attention to get, you know, the song to be good. It`s actually good music.

CURRY: It`s catchy, right. I can see it at a prom. You know, slow dancing going to it.

And Miley herself, the queen of twerk, she just took on all the backlash over her new video and her racy VMA performance. I can tell you that she just isn`t backing down at all, saying that her performances are about a whole lot more than raunchiness. So listen to what she just told morning radio star Elvis Duran.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER: I think the video is much more that people get past the point that I`m naked and you actually look at me, you can tell that I actually look more broken than even the song sounds.

The sound is like a pop ballad that -- it`s one of those songs that everyone can relate to. Everyone`s had that feeling at some point. But if people can take, you know, their minds off the obvious and go into their imagination a little bit and see kind of the video, you know, what the video really means and the way that it is so vulnerable. And actually, you know, if you look in my eyes I look more sad than I think my voice sounds on the record.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Yes. And a rumored break up. I don`t know, Kendra. I`ve got to wonder if it`s really possible to look into Miley`s sad eyes when there`s so much else on display in this video.

And you`re a mom, too. So I mean, the song is about pain. Why get naked?

WILKINSON: You know what? It`s such a double standard. Because there are so many male artists out there like, let`s say, Michael Jackson, let`s say Elvis or say Justin Bieber. And they`re all doing raunchy things. And everybody is like ooh, ahh, that`s like God. But when Miley Cyrus does it it`s like all of a sudden trash, and all of a sudden, like, the world comes to an end. I think it`s a bunch of B.S.

CURRY: Yes. You make a great point, Kendra. You definitely do. Well, Kendra Wilkinson, girl, thanks so much.

And be sure to watch her season premiere of "Kendra on Top" this Friday on We-TV.

WILKINSON: Thank you.

CURRY: ... by the way.

WILKINSON: Thank you so much.

CURRY: A.J.

HAMMER: As we move on tonight, we`ve got the "SHOWBIZ Countdown" coming up top five "True Confessions." Former Miss America talking about the private pain that led her to want to take her own life.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: People just completely tearing me down and ripping me to shreds. Some people, they say I`m too pretty. Others say I`m too ugly.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Will the beauty queen`s confession top the "SHOWBIZ Countdown"?

Fake Floyd? Has boxer Floyd Mayweather actually hand-picked his bouts to keep his incredible 44-0 record and make stacks of cash?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight it`s a SHOWBIZ knockout.

(SOUND EFFECT: BELL)

HAMMER: There`s that ringing in my head again.

Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather is going into the history books, Natasha, yet again.

CURRY: Yes, that`s right. He`s reportedly getting a record-breaking $41.5 million payday this weekend.

HAMMER: Wow. I mean, this is just an amazing deal. This guy is getting in the ring with Mexico`s Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Whether or not he wins, he`s still coming out with a mountain of cash.

"Wall Street Journal" sports contributor Gordon Moreno is all over the K.O. pay out. He is right here.

It`s great to be with you, Gordon. And let me just break down this knockout payday of Floyd Mayweather. "Forbes" magazine is reporting that he`s getting a record-breaking 41.5 million for his fight on Saturday. If the fight goes all 12 rounds, Mayweather will get paid more than 19 grand a second to be in the ring.

Gordon, I know Mayweather is a great boxer and very entertaining, but really, is any athlete or celebrity, for that matter, worth this kind of insane money?

GORDON MORENO, SPORTS CONTRIBUTOR, "WALL STREET JOURNAL": Well, I don`t know. That`s -- that`s a broad philosophical question. So I think rock stars get paid more than Floyd`s going to be making. So I`m not sure about that. It doesn`t make a lot of sense, of course, right?

HAMMER: Well, no. Not to a lot of people, I suppose.

MORENO: Right.

HAMMER: But he -- you know, he`s been talking some serious smack ahead of this big fight, despite all the money that he`s getting. He actually just called himself the face of boxing at a press conference. Let`s look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

FLOYD MAYWEATHER, BOXER: I`ve got 42-0. He hasn`t faced 42 Floyd Mayweathers, because he`d be zero and 42. So I don`t really worry about who he has faced. Whatever any fighter can do good, I can do great. I was born to be here; I was born to be at this level. I`m at the pinnacle. I`m the face of boxing.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I guess you have to have the ego, right? I know trash talking is all part of the sport. But just after he got all cocky there, he confessed to reporters he`s actually hand-picking his opponents to keep his incredible 44-0 record and make all that money. Gordon, isn`t everybody going to question his matches from now on or doesn`t it matter?

MORENO: No, I don`t think so. I think he was being somewhat ironic. For Floyd "Money" Mayweather, boxing is a business. And his management team is in the job of maximizing profits and minimizing the risks. And a management team in boxing has to pick the right fights at the right time. He hasn`t been ducking anybody. The only controversial issue was the -- the real controversial one was the fight that seems like it collapsed with him and Manny Pacquio. And I`m not -- was never inside those negotiations. So I don`t know who to -- who`s to blame for that.

But I don`t think Floyd was saying he was -- ducked anybody in his career. He hasn`t done that.

HAMMER: But is it nuts for him to admit that maybe he has or that he`s been hand-picking?

MORENO: The way he said it, I didn`t hear it as an admission. He said this sort of boxing is going to make you money. His management team has picked great fights all the way along. It made a lot of money and minimized risk.

He`s very conscious of what can happen in the ring. He knows very well the kind of damage that those hurricane blows can have.

HAMMER: Yes.

MORENO: And he`s very aware of that. He doesn`t have any need to prove himself to be the macho man. So he`s very -- he`s very concerned about taking a lot of punishment there.

HAMMER: Conscious and confident. Gordon Moreno, great having you here. Thank you so much.

MORENO: Thanks for having me. I appreciate it.

HAMMER: And Natasha, I guess great money if you can make it. Right?

CURRY: Yes, definitely. When I think about it, I was just reading at "Sports Illustrated`s" Web site that when Mayweather turned pro in `96, Alvarez was a toddler. So he better watch out. He might be quicker on his feet. Plus, Mike Tyson is giving Alvarez some pointers.

HAMMER: Man, you can get damaged.

All right. Tonight, in our "SHOWBIZ Countdown," we`ve got the top five "True Confessions." "Jersey Shore`s" The Situation talking candidly about becoming an addict after appearing on another reality show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MIKE "THE SITUATION" SORRENTINO, REALITY TV STAR: And a lot of Americans think that, you know -- and it just happened to me. I mean, you know, you get a prescription and you`re like, "Oh, wow," you know. "I`m OK."

And for months, you know, my mom was, "You better not be taking those."

And I`m like, "Mom, you know, I`m fine."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wait until you hear what else Mike Sorrentino is saying about coming back from the break.

Also, Lady Gaga`s molly revelations.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDY COHEN, HOST, BRAVO`S "WATCH WHAT HAPPENS": When is the last time you did molly?

LADY GAGA, MUSICIAN: Well, I think maybe it`s hard to remember.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. So has Gaga used the dangerous party drug in the past? And what`s her message to her "Little Monsters" about it now?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GREEN: I used to do what was called strong-arm robbery. I never actually -- it was never armed robbery. I was like give it to me.

STERN: Did you ever beat someone up to the point where they were unconscious?

GREEN: Maybe they came to after we were gone.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Right now the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," today`s top five "True Confessions." Cee-Lo`s former life of crime. "The Voice" coach talks about how his violent past led to his award-winning music career.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TYLER: The doctor said, "Look, I just -- based on what we`re seeing here, I just don`t think this is going to happen for you." The hardest part is I really love my husband. He`s such a good person and he would be such a good father. You know?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Confessions from "The Talk." From fertility issues to a steamy Hollywood affair, the co-hosts aren`t holding back one bit.

The always outspoken and always funny Sheryl Underwood from "The Talk" is right here. But will Sheryl shock us with secrets of her own? What will be the No. 1 true confession on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown"?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer along with my laughing guest co-host, Natasha Curry, who anchors "WEEKEND EXPRESS" over the weekend right here on HLN. And tonight on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," get ready for today`s top five "True Confessions."

CURRY: That`s right, A.J. We begin at No. 5 with a stunner from Cee-Lo Green, who`s a coach on the hit reality series "The Voice," just confessing on "The Howard Stern Show" that at one time he was a downright thug. Watch.

STERN: I mean you -- because I don`t know, you seem like such a gentle spirit. Like almost like a hippie in a weird way. And yet when I read about your background you were this tough thug.

GREEN: Music saved my life.

STERN: So when you lay down at night, do you ever think back on those days and feel guilty or you just say, "Hey, (EXPLETIVE DELETED), I`m glad I got out of that hole"?

GREEN: No. I do, I do. I feel very -- a great deal of remorse.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: And so the always delightful Sheryl Underwood joins us now to talk about this. She`s a co-host on the hit daytime chat fest "The Talk." With us from Hollywood.

Sheryl, what did you make of this? Are you shocked by Cee-Lo`s confession that he was just beating people down with that beautiful smile?

SHERYL UNDERWOOD, CO-HOST, "THE TALK": Well, I`m shocked by it, but I want to go on record and go it wasn`t me. That`s why I wear wigs. That`s why I`m losing weight. It wasn`t me. Me and Cee-Lo Green are not the same person.

CURRY: Entertainment journalist Henry Miller is also with us tonight from Hollywood.

Henry, we`ve got to give Cee-Lo some credit here for coming clean about this, because no one would have ever known. I mean, you`d be surprised that he just laid it all out there, too, right?

MILLER: Well, it`s definitely a very high-risk strategy. I mean, obviously, "The Voice" is a hit show all across America. But there will be a lot of people who will hear these revelations of how he beat people until they were unconscious and during a robbery and will change their opinion of Cee-Lo. It will make them think very differently.

Because if you`ve been the victim of that kind of a crime, you know it`s an immensely traumatic event. And it`s -- even in his interview in once sense he`s saying at night he regrets it, but he was also laughing and smiling. I think for a lot of people that just won`t be acceptable.

CURRY: Yes. And from Cee-Lo`s thug life true confession, we move to a really candid confession, A.J., right, from a reality TV superstar.

HAMMER: That`s right. This comes in at No. 4 on tonight`s countdown. "Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino fessing up about his addiction. I just went one-on-one with "The Sitch," and after so many rumors that have been flying around, I had to ask him to finally set the record straight about his battle.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

SORRENTINO: I knew that being in the public eye once I came clean, in a lot of ways, that you know, there would be a lot of things surfacing, you know. But I stayed with one particular substance that initially I was prescribed, you know, once I hurt myself in 2011.

And then eventually, once you`re prescribed it, you feel like it`s OK to take these opiate prescription painkillers, which I was on. And then after a number of months it becomes a dependency, and after the dependency, a number of months it`s an addiction. And then, you know, you`ve got to get that under control, which I did. And you know, thank God and I`m here today.

HAMMER: Gosh, I know so many people watching relate to you, because so many people, particularly, who have back problems get on the prescription meds because you can`t live without them. And then you realize you can`t live without them and that`s really -- it sounds like that`s exactly what you went through.

SORRENTINO: Yes, I mean, that`s exactly what happened. I mean, a lot of Americans think that, you know, and it just happened to me. I mean, you know, you get a prescription and you`re like, "Oh, wow, I`m OK."

And for months, you know, my mom was like "You better not be taking those."

And I`m like, "Mom, you know, I`m fine." And in my head I convinced myself.

I`m going to tell you, the doctor did say, you know, after a certain period of time, you know, you may become dependent. But I`m not going to lie. You know, once I was handed that prescription, you know, it was -- it was a love affair from there. And it didn`t go the right direction.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: But fortunately, Mike figured it all out.

"The Talk" co-host Sheryl Underwood and entertainment journalist Henry Miller back with us tonight. Henry, "Jersey Shore" obviously a hugely popular show. I`ve got to imagine The Situation`s confession is going to hit home for a lot of people, particularly young people, and hopefully trigger them to get help.

MILLER: Yes, absolutely. Well, first of all, great interview. Great exclusive. Nice one, A.J.

HAMMER: Thank you.

MILLER: But yes. The real point here is that, you know, he`s going to reach a lot of people who, you know, they`re his fans. They`re his followers. They might not listen to doctors and their advice, and they might not listen to mainstream media. So amazingly, "The Jersey Shore" is being responsible for something good in our society. And you know, Mike "The Situation," who everyone thought was all abs and no brains, was really showing that he`s smarter than he looks.

HAMMER: Nice to see that happen.

Sheryl, he talked about being a celebrity and trying to deal with this thing under wraps at first. Obviously, it`s a very personal issue to go through, but is it tougher -- it is tougher than ever right now to keep things quiet when you`re a star, but is it better to maybe just put the truth out there, be up front about it, kind of like you guys do on "The Talk" every day?

UNDERWOOD: Well, I think that he should be commended for talking about something that`s happening in households across America, across the world when you`re prescribed something and then you can`t get off of it. That`s why hospitals are using different protocols now, that when you go in and after you have your surgeries, then you have to go out, and you`re not getting a prescription that you`re taking because people can get addicted to this.

The fastest population that`s dying are people that`s been prescribed prescription drugs. And a lot of people think if you`re not on the corner shaking hands with somebody and passing that money the way they do it in urban communities, then you don`t think that you`re addicted to anything.

HAMMER: Right.

UNDERWOOD: So let`s commend this young man who has the attention of all young people, and hopefully, he can get his life together.

HAMMER: I can`t believe I`m saying these words. Nice going, The Situation.

All right, let`s move on in tonight`s "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of today`s top five "True Confessions." And at No. 3, it`s the young man who confessed this week to killing a grandfather in a hit-and-run accident while he was driving drunk. He`s scheduled to appear in court next week when he is expected to plead guilty.

Matthew Cordle is the man who made that shocking video confession where he took responsibility for this drunk-driving crash that killed 61-year-old Vincent Canzani. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MATTHEW CORDLE, ADMITS TO HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT: My name is Matthew Cordle. On June 22, 2013, I hit and killed Vincent Canzani. When I get charged, I`ll plead guilty and take full responsibility for everything I`ve done to Vincent and his family.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Obviously, it`s so powerful to watch that. There`s a full three- and-a-half minute video. It sparked a huge debate online. Henry, people are primarily concerned that, you know, the court might show leniency, because he made the video and is sending the message out there. But the judge should just throw the book at this guy, right?

MILLER: I mean, look, it`s obviously a brave thing to have done. And if you`ve seen the video, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

But let`s not get away from the fact that he has killed somebody with his actions. And the impact on the court is really confusing. Because we`re seeing this social media aspect to justice now that it`s totally new. Judges, court, no one knows what to do with it. Every case is setting a new precedent. So, yes, we hope the book gets thrown at him, but it`s going to be really interesting to see what actually happens. Because this will set a precedent for cases in the future where there`s a social media angle like this.

HAMMER: I really just hope he didn`t do this video with the idea that maybe he would see some leniency.

Well, that brings us to No. 2 on our top five "SHOWBIZ True Confessions." Former Miss America Teresa Scanlan is opening up about her struggle with depression.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TERESA SCANLAN, FORMER MISS AMERICA: People just completely tearing me down and ripping me to shreds.

Some people say I`m too pretty. Others say I`m ugly.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, her amazing journey from being the youngest winner of Miss America pageant to frightening thoughts of suicide. But what`s going to top our "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "True Confessions"? You`ll find out.

Also ahead, a major Lady Gaga revelation about her past.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

COHEN: When was the last time you did molly?

LADY GAGA: Well, I think maybe it`s hard to remember.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So has Lady Gaga used the dangerous party drug? And what`s her message to her "Little Monsters" about the drug?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back. We are counting down today`s top five amazing "True Confessions."

CURRY: Yes, we really have some juicy ones, A.J. Coming in at No. 5, Cee- Lo`s dark past. "The Voice" coach confessing that he beat people up and took their money before he was famous.

At No. 4, ex-"Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino sets the record straight with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about his struggles with addiction.

At No. 3, an Ohio man prepares to face a new judge after a stunning video confession to a drunk driving accident that killed another man.

And that brings us to No. 2 on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of today`s top five "True Confessions." And it`s a stunner from a former Miss America who just opened up to "Good Morning America" about how she`s battled with depression while wearing the crown. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SCANLAN: People tearing me down and ripping me to shreds every day. To some I was too conservative. To some, I was too liberal. To some people, they say I`m too pretty. Others say I`m too ugly.

I was hiking the Scott`s Cliff (ph) National Monument. Growing up, it was always my favorite place. But this time was different. I was just falling apart and very strongly contemplating jumping off the top.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. That is the last thing I would have expected to hear from her.

The amazing and the very funny Sheryl Underwood, who of course, is a co- host on "The Talk," is with us tonight from Hollywood. And Sheryl, you think Miss America would just be living the life. It really just kind of shows you that everybody is vulnerable.

UNDERWOOD: Absolutely. This should be the happiest time of her life. She worked hard to get there. She`s one of the youngest people to win.

It`s unfortunate that social networking, while it can be a place of great upliftment [SIC] from people coming together and cheering you on, but there are cyber bullies out there. And I wish people understood that the things that you say have an impact. Depression is not just a chemical reaction in the brain. Sometimes, it is exacerbated by the stress in life.

And I hope this young lady will understand you won the sash. You have the crown. And get your support system around you so you won`t feel that disappointment.

HAMMER: I found myself -- pity (ph) myself a lot tonight, but good for her for speaking out. I really do think it helps other people.

UNDERWOOD: That`s right.

HAMMER: That leaves us at No. 1 on our "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of today`s top five "True Confessions." Now Sheryl, I`m going to need your help with this one, because we have a three-way tie. And it is thanks to your co-hosts at one of my favorite shows on television, "The Talk."

So all this week -- all this week you ladies have been talking and offering up your own truly stunning and personal confessions including these.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHARON OSBOURNE, CO-HOST, "THE TALK": That man, that man I had a flingy- wingy with was Jay Leno.

TYLER: I`m 42. So in baby -- in baby years that`s old to be trying to get pregnant.

After going through a lot of procedures and spending a lot of money. You know, I was coming and getting shots every day. The doctor said, "Look, I just -- based on what we`re seeing here, I just don`t think this is going to happen for you."

JOAN CHEN, CO-HOST, "THE TALK": I want to really demonstrate what my news head shot looked like before I had this plastic surgery done. This is in 1996. That`s what I looked like with my old eyes. And I want to show you a side by side of how dramatic this surgery really was.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, I saw that, and it really killed me that she actually had to go through that and deal with that.

So we had two pretty serious confessions there and, actually, a quite amusing one from Sharon, Sheryl. How do we possibly pick from those?

UNDERWOOD: Well, I don`t think you`re going to be able to pick. You`re learning more about my colleagues. Today, Sara makes her confession. And tomorrow, I`m making mine.

And it takes a lot of courage to bring out something like you had an affair with Jay Leno. But it was before Sharon married Ozzy. So, you know, at least hers was kind of bubbly and fun.

What you hear Aisha going through, woman are going through this. Families and couples are going through this. And I`m proud to sit at the table with these ladies.

Julie Chen, I can tell you: this is a woman who represents not just her people but women all over the world.

HAMMER: Yes.

UNDERWOOD: And when you hear Sara talk about her confession, you`re really going to understand more about who she is and how far she`s come.

HAMMER: Well, we can`t wait to hear what you have to say. Just give me a hint. Are you going to completely blow our minds?

UNDERWOOD: I can`t give you a hint. I`ve been sworn to secrecy. But I must say that it was great to be able to confess something with my girls at the table. And I think the world is really going to embrace what we`re doing on our show, because you can live vicariously through us.

But A.J....

HAMMER: Yes.

UNDERWOOD: I need to hear a confession from you.

HAMMER: And you`re not going to tonight. Sheryl Underwood, thanks for being here. I get to run the show. Segment over.

Be sure to tune in to "The Talk." And one of my favorite people, Sheryl, her big confession is tomorrow.

Bye, Sheryl. Great seeing you.

Well, tonight we have the confessions that keep on coming with Lady Gaga. Did she just reveal that she actually used the popular and dangerous party drug molly?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

COHEN: When was the last time you did molly?

LADY GAGA: Well, I think maybe it`s hard to remember.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Gaga`s answer is next.

And wait until you see. I can`t wait to show it to you. We`ve got tonight`s "Moment of SHOWBIZ Awesomeness" on the way.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

COHEN: When was the last time you did molly?

LADY GAGA: I just spent a lot of time going to a lot of festivals.

COHEN: Yes.

LADY GAGA: I definitely wouldn`t encourage it because it can be dangerous.

COHEN: Yes.

LADY GAGA: Especially if you don`t know where you`re getting it from. So I would guess I would just use this opportunity to tell you to be careful with molly.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I`m happy she said that. Gaga there fessing up to using the dangerous party drug that seems to become -- or has become a Hollywood obsession recently.

But this obsession has certainly turned deadly, especially as police in New York investigate the deaths of two people at a recent concert event, Natasha.

CURRY: Yes. And A.J., the deaths are connected to molly use. And the big question is, is it time for music stars to change their tune and leave molly out of the mix? Here`s CNN`s Kyung Lah for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KYUNG LAH, CNN CORRESPONDENT: At electronica music festivals, recovering drug addict Louis Sabataso (ph) says what he`s seen is not just the D.J.`s name that`s known, but another one, molly.

LOUIS SABATASO (PH), RECOVERING DRUG ADDICT: It`s just insane. Like, the amount of Ecstasy and molly that`s going around. It`s insane, everybody is doing it.

LAH: Ecstasy or MDMA, a stimulant and a psychedelic, is a rave drug from the `90s, once cut with everything from caffeine to speed. Today`s version, molly. A powder form that pledges purity, now seeing a resurgence of popularity among a new generation.

Molly is also casually mentioned in pop music by singers like Kanye West and rapper Trinidad James. Miley Cyrus sings about "dancing with molly."

CYRUS: La di da di, dancing with molly.

DR. HOWARD SAMUELS, CEO, THE HILLS TREATMENT CENTER: Molly goes to another level as far as potency is concerned. It makes it extremely dangerous to the body. Because with MDA -- MDMA, it`s -- the body creates heat. This drug creates the body to overheat. And the more the body overheats, especially in these environments that are so hot to begin with, it can create death and heart attack. The body just fries.

LAH: Sabataso (ph) knows that all too well. He estimates he`s taken Ecstasy and molly hundreds of times and has seen friends die from molly.

He says he`s been clean for one year. He was once addicted to cocaine, heroin and alcohol. But it`s molly that scares him the most.

SABATASO (ph): People don`t how they`re going to react to molly. It`s the kind of drug that you don`t know -- I mean, if you`ve never taken it -- how you are going to react to it. And you could be one of those people that it`s going to kill immediately. Absolutely totally. So, in that respect, it`s far more dangerous than other drugs.

LAH: But showing no signs of losing favor with the young and glamorous.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

CURRY: I really hope people just listen up and think, this can be deadly. It really concerns me when Hollywood seems to be normalizing it in some regards.

HAMMER: Yes. Hopefully parents in particular are paying attention.

All right. Moving on tonight, Jimmy Fallon has a secret obsession, too, kind of. Jimmy channeling his inner Walter White, telling jokes on the black market for survival.

And I`m thinking this may be exactly what "Breaking Bad" fans need right now, of course, as the countdown to the end of the season of "Breaking Bad" continues. "SHOWBIZ Awesomeness" is next.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

Time for "SHOWBIZ Say What?" Look at David Beckham and his adorable daughter, Harper, at Victoria Beckham`s runway show at New York City`s Fashion Week. What`s Harper really thinking as she`s surrounded by fashion`s elite? Well, we asked you to chime in, and here`s what you think.

Tracy A. says, "No one is looking at these models when my dad is around."

Christine N.: "You said we were going to a play date."

HAMMER: I hope you`re ready for "SHOWBIZ Awesomeness," when we reveal the most awesome story of the day. And we may have a fix for you if you are a "Breaking Bad" junkie like me and simply dreading the end of the series.

CURRY: I know. You`re just ripping your hair out over this.

But tonight Jimmy Fallon, though, goes to the dark side. Kind of. Check out his take on the desperate measures that he would have to take if faced with telling jokes on the black market for survival. This is "Joking Bad."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What up?

JIMMY FALLON, LATE-NIGHT HOST: What are you doing?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What`s it look like, bitch?

We`re selling jokes. Check it out. Topical, knock-knock. Your mama.

FALLON: What do you call a cow that fell on a honey pot? Here comes Honey Moo-Moo. That`s got to be the lamest joke I`ve ever seen.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Whatever, bitch. Making fat stacks, yo.

FALLON: You just made that much money selling that stupid joke?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, bitch.

FALLON: Do you realize what would happen if we worked together? We only have six months left of "Late Night." But with my jokes and your connections there`s no end to what we could do.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: "Breaking Bad" has just a few weeks, but the end is near for Jimmy, too. Jimmy leaves "Late Night" to take over "The Tonight Show" in six short months.

HAMMER: I have three words for you, Natasha: "Better call Saul."

Thank you, Natasha.

And thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Be sure to catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT every Monday through Thursday at 11 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.

HLN continues right now.
