A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Right now on the "Top Ten countdown," Miley`s fur- flying act. Miley Cyrus shocks us all again with her performance at the American Music Awards.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER (singing): I never meant to start a war. I wanted you to let me in. I guess I should have let you in.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. This time it was what she didn`t do that was so startling. No twerking. No pot smoking. Just Miley and this super- adorable, super-huge cat. Did she finally get it right?

Plus, do these star diets really work?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JESSICA SIMPSON, SINGER: I`m Jessica Simpson, and yes, I`m doing Weight Watchers. There is a lot of pressure to lose weight.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Which celebrity diets will truly help you shed the pounds? Well, we`re revealing the truth about the biggest star diets out there.

SBT starts right now.

Hello, and thank you so much for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. And we are kicking off our Top Ten countdown with a big No. 10. The great debate that broke out online and really everywhere today about the biggest shockers at the American Music Awards last night, including the Miley feline frenzy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CYRUS (singing): I just walked away. I will always want you. I can`t live a lie, running for my life. I will always want you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I`m sitting home watching this performance with a giant cat on my couch and thinking maybe only Miley could out do herself without getting naked, performing "Wrecking Ball" there with a space kitten. How beautiful. Now, Billboard.com called this kitty the biggest star of the night. Is that right? Bigger than Miley? Bigger than Swift, Rihanna and J.T., Justin Timberlake? There was certainly lots of amazing moments last night.

Pop culture expert Megan Meany is with me from MeganMeany.com.

All right.

MEGAN MEANY, POP CULTURE EXPERT: All right.

HAMMER: Let`s talk about the kitty here. I mean, look at this thing. I actually -- I`ve been saying this all day. I think it should be on everybody`s gift list. I want this for Hanukah, a giant space...

MEANY: The floating...

HAMMER: ... hypnotic kitty that cries diamonds. I actually think this was pretty great of her to do.

MEANY: You do? I think it was a step in the right direction. Shocking only in that it was incredibly kooky. My kids watching in the room thought it was an episode of "Wonder Pets" until they saw the chick in the bikini.

I`d love to have been in the cat meeting, when they were like, "We`ve got to have the tiger cat behind her lip synching. Awesome." But as you said, no twerking. I`ll take the purring over the twerking. I`m OK with this direction for Miley. I actually thought -- I didn`t feel the feline thing, but I did feel the performance. I thought it was powerful and emotional and a little bit tame for her, and that`s OK.

HAMMER: I actually -- the AMAs typically are a little more tame than your other awards shows. I think, you know, Miley may be working on the next of her nine or however many lives, symbolism there. And maybe this is the impression she wants to leave us with before the award season break. You know, she won`t perform again until the Grammys, likely, in February.

MEANY: I think it`s a good call. She`s gone a little too far this year.

HAMMER: People still don`t understand what the heck this is all about. Let`s watch some more. Shall we?

MEANY: Yes, we shall.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CYRUS (singing): I never meant to start a war. I just wanted you to let me in. I guess I should have let you in. Don`t you ever say I just walked away. I will always want you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: First of all, I think she sounds great. But you really can`t turn away from a giant kitty, can you?

Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson is with us from Hollywood. Anthony is host of the 2013 "Soul Train Awards." They`re going to air this Sunday night on Centric and BET.

All right, Anthony, you watched it. The diamond tears. The kitty lip-synching. The tongue -- the Miley tongue at the whole end of the thing. I mean, this cat did everything but twerk. Anthony, I`m thinking that today people are thinking Robin Thicke who?

ANTHONY ANDERSON, ACTOR AND COMEDIAN: They could be. But all I have to say is it`s better to perform with a pussy cat behind you than to perform with your pussy cat out. So, I`m just saying.

HAMMER: Leave it at that. OK. That`s fair. I should probably just move things along.

Let us talk about now another amazing, unforgettable moment kind of like the one we just experienced with Anthony. We had Katy Perry`s Japanese-themed opening performance of her song "Unconditionally." Let`s roll that out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC: KATY PERRY, "UNCONDITIONALLY")

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. So I`m watching and I`m thinking, "Wow, what a spectacle. Great way to open things up."

And then I start thinking, "Uh-oh." You know, in this age of political correctness, Katy dressy as a geisha. And now, as I kind of expected, she got slammed online by some people who called her a racist and culturally insensitive. In fact, one person tweeted, "She nailed the traditionally ignorant costume of a white pop singer."

Mean, what do you think? Is Katy`s performance offensive to you?

MEANY: Not at all. It`s inspired. People need to relax. Whenever you appropriate another culture, you`re bound to ruffle some feathers or in this case wrinkle a kimono. So I expected this, but It`s colorful Katy. Remember when Gwen Stefani had her Japanese backup singers and, you know...

HAMMER: Oh, yes.

MEANY: ... very interested in the culture? I don`t remember people complaining too much then.

HAMMER: No.

MEANY: She`s got a legion of Japanese fans. She just was touring there. She apparently had a Japanese family stay with her and her family at some point. I don`t think there was anything offensive here.

HAMMER: Yes, and to your point, there was a big debate on NewYorkPost.com that I noticed today, and a guy named Will -- presumably it was a guy -- posted this: "Madonna did it at the Grammys years ago, and nobody said anything."

MEANY: Right.

HAMMER: "Fast forward 14, 15 years and now it`s offensive. As long as she didn`t mock the culture, it`s fine."

Anthony, what do you think? Is Katy Perry over the line there?

ANDERSON: I don`t think so. But, you know, I`m ignorant to the culture of geisha girls. I don`t know if it`s a religious thing or whatnot. I thought it was a beautiful performance: theatrical, colorful and well done. So -- but like I say, I don`t know anything about the culture. Just as a fan watching this on television, I thought it was great show.

HAMMER: Yes and you make a terrific point. I also don`t really know what can possibly be perceived, and I don`t want to be insensitive in any way.

MEANY: I think that some people think they were imprisoned and, you know, they performed sexual favors. I think, actually, though, the original geisha did a very elaborate tea dance, and they were entertainers in their hey-day. So it`s not necessarily a negative image.

HAMMER: I would expect that debate, though, any time you cross over into another culture.

MEANY: Ruffling a kimono.

HAMMER: It happens. Let`s get to another AMA-zing moment. The first ever AMA Icon Award. It was presented to Rihanna by her own mother, and I thought this was pretty cool. Let`s roll that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MONICA BRAITHWAITE, RIHANNA`S MOTHER: I`m so blessed to be a part of this historic moment. And I just want to say I`m proud to present to you the first ever AMA Iconic Award.

RIHANNA, SINGER: Thank you, mom. I love you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I thought she was particularly thrilled, because she`s standing there with her mother onstage. Such a special moment there.

Of course, again, you have people pushing back on this one, because she`s only 25 years old, and the Icon Award is kind of like a lifetime achievement award. I think those people need to relax. But Anthony, what do you think? And Icon Award at 25? Is that too young or does it really matter?

ANDERSON: I don`t think it matters. I mean, people should look up the definition of icon. You know, Rihanna is iconic in what she does. Yes, she`s only 25 years old, but you look at the contributions that she`s made to the music world, pop culture. She has her own fragrance. She sells out all over the world wherever she goes. So I think it`s a befitting award for this particular artist.

HAMMER: Yes, that`s enviable. Let`s look at some of her acceptance speech after her mom presented her with this award last night.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RIHANNA: Right now, I can`t believe that, at 25 years old, I`m holding an Icon Award. That is weird to even say out loud.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: She actually seems surprised, which is interesting. Are you surprised by this at all?

MEANY: Well, and she seems a little young. And I think when I first hear icon I do sort of feel like I want it to be somebody a little bit older.

But this is legit. I mean, she -- There was not one song they played in the recap that I don`t love. She`s got a bunch of Grammys; she`s got 33 million Twitter followers. They say that she`s tied Elvis and Mariah with her track record. That`s pretty impressive.

And I love -- the thing I love most about her is that she`s not Miley Cyrus. This really is who she is.

HAMMER: Yes.

MEANY: She`s this down-to-earth island girl who`s really kind of a free spirit. And I think...

HAMMER: And finding -- and finding her way in front of all our eyes. I like the fact that she sang "Diamonds" and we saw a kitty crying diamonds all in one show.

Megan, Anthony, thank you both.

And be sure to tune in to see Anthony Anderson hosting the 2013 Soul Train Awards Sunday night on Centric and on BET.

Well, another AMA superstar is about to inject the countdown with some seriously candid confessions. Taylor Swift just revealing what it`s like to hear back from one of those ex-boyfriends that, you know, she can`t stop writing about. We show what she has got to say about them, but what are they saying to her?

Plus, how many times have you seen a celebrity ad like this?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SIMPSON: I`m Jessica Simpson, and yes, I`m doing Weight Watchers. There is a lot of pressure to lose weight.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: We`re revealing all about the diet stars love to endorse. But which ones work; which ones don`t work? And how can you shed the pounds without spending a fortune? Will celeb diet secrets be No. 1 on our countdown?

This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: And our countdown of today`s must-see, must-share stories continues now with something you must see. At No. 9, Seth Rogen goes topless. Now normally that would not necessarily make our countdown but, you know, when Seth is doing it to mock Kanye`s brand-new music video, "Bound 2," we are all for it.

So Seth just teamed up with the great James Franco, and they`re making all kinds of fun of Kim K.`s topless turn in Kanye`s new video. So please, let`s enjoy together "Bound 3."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bang!

KIM KARDASHIAN (singing): I`m falling in love.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bang!

KARDASHIAN: I`m falling in love.

(speaking) Uh-huh, honey.

KANYE WEST, HIP-HOP ARTIST: I want to (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you hard on the sink. After that give you something to drink. Step back, can`t get spunk on the mink. I mean, damn, what would Jeromey Romey Romey Rome think?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. Maybe we don`t need to see any more of that. It`s funny and disturbing at the same time.

Let`s move to our No. 8 must-see, must-share story. Is Jennifer Lawrence simply the biggest movie star around right now? She`s sure making a run at that title after a huge weekend.

First, her latest movie, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," just killed it at the box office. New numbers out now say it made $158 million in the U.S., making it the biggest November opening ever. Nice going.

At the same time, Hollywood insiders got their first look at her next movie, "American Hustle." And the early word is that she stole that movie, and now there`s serious talk that she actually may win yet another Oscar to match the one that she won earlier this year for "Silver Linings Playbook."

She`s winning Oscars and breaking records. I`m asking is there anything that J. Law can`t do right now? Well, I asked that of "In Touch Weekly" senior editor Kim Serafin and Rentrak senior analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Here`s our countdown question.

PAUL DERGARABEDIAN, SENIOR ANALYST, RENTRAK: Yes.

HAMMER: Is Jennifer Lawrence now officially the biggest star in the world?

KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Well, right now she is. This weekend, 307.7 million worldwide for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." And you know that at the same time that "The Hunger Games" is in theaters, "American Hustle" will be in theaters once that opens.

This is the perfect career right now. She definitely is a worldwide phenomenon. Great credibility as an actor. An Oscar winner and a contender probably this year for "American Hustle," which looks amazing. So good for Jennifer Lawrence. I mean, she`s really giving all these other stars like Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett a run for their money, for sure.

HAMMER: Kim, Paul mentioning some big names right there. That`s pretty heavy competition. But I really can`t think of anybody bigger than Jennifer Lawrence right now.

SERAFIN: No, and speaking of Sandra Bullock, think about who can open a movie, especially in terms of women. Sandra Bullock, you can put her name above the title. Meryl Streep, maybe you can put her name above the title. Julia Roberts. I think Jennifer Lawrence fits right in with those women who can open a movie, and I think that`s really important. I think people love her. They flocked to this movie. Obviously, "Catching Fire," "Hunger Games" has huge fans, but I think people really wanted to see her.

And this movie, it also attracted people under the age of 25 and over the age of 25. So this is definitely good. Definitely different than the "Twilight" series.

HAMMER: And what makes her such great stars. I love her humility. I love the fact that she is in no way full of herself. And she is just on fire around the planet.

DERGARABEDIAN: Absolutely.

HAMMER: In fact, she told CNN`s Nischelle Turner that handling her newfound super-stardom has been a struggle sometimes, but she manages. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIFER LAWRENCE, ACTRESS: Sometimes I`m nice, but then sometimes I`m in a bad mood. Like, if I`m at dinner and I`m eating and somebody wants me to stand up and take a picture, it`s like that`s actually helped with my anxiety is knowing that I don`t have to say yes.

JOSH HUTCHERSON, ACTOR: Yes. It`s so true.

LAWRENCE: I can say no.

HUTCHERSON: So true.

LAWRENCE: Because it used to be I didn`t want to go out; I didn`t want to go to dinner. If I went to dinner, I was like wrapped up. And then I was like, you know what? I don`t have to do it. I can just say no, and that`s helped a lot. So...

HUTCHERSON: It`s hard to say no sometimes.

LAWRENCE: It is hard, and you don`t want to feel rude, because they`re people. But at the same time, like, I have to defend my life and, you know, my mental wellness.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. Talking about people coming up to her all the time, asking for photos and autographs. But Paul, I`d say at 23 years old -- and I`ve seen a lot of young stars go really wrong when they get this kind of attention...

DERGARABEDIAN: Yes.

HAMMER: ... I`d say at this age, she`s handling her fame really well.

DERGARABEDIAN: She`s doing everything right, and she`s so poised. And when you think about her age, you just scratch your head, and you`re like how did she get so far, so fast?

But she is really a terrific actress. She is the real deal. And she makes great choices in terms of the movies that she, you know, appears in. And that`s a big part of this, is the types of movies, who she surrounds herself with, like David O. Russell, who`s directing her in "American Hustle," directed her in "Silver Linings Playbook." So it`s about those choices.

And now collectively, her worldwide box office is at 1.6 billion...

HAMMER: Wow.

DERGARABEDIAN: ... when you figure in the 300 million from this weekend worldwide.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Just incredible. My thanks again to Paul Dergarabedian and Kim Serafin.

OK. You ever wonder if those celebrity diets really work? Sure, stars like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce are shedding major pounds. But which plans are actually going to work for you? We`re putting celebrity diets to the test with an expert who knows the truth.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Our "Top Ten Countdown" continues now with No. 7. The Bat Kid is back. Now, when we last left our hero, Miles Scott, he was saving San Francisco from the likes of the Joker and the Penguin. Well, the Make- a-Wish Foundation was making Miles` dream to become a pint-sized hero come true for this.

And now, the amazing little boy who just beat leukemia is back. He`s saving the day right here in New York City. Miles got the bat call on "Good Morning America." And you`ve got to see him jump into action to save the rapper Pit Bull.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There he was, Bat Kid. Taking down the Joker. Breaking through that chain (ph) and freeing Pit Bull just in time. Will he get to the stage in time? That`s coming.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I love it. Don`t worry: the Bat Kid saved the day again and got Pit Bull to the stage in time for his morning concert. Well done, Bat Kid.

Well, coming in at No. 6 on our countdown, the host with the most laughs. Comedian and actor Anthony Anderson is hosting Soul Train Music Awards this year. You can check him out on BET and Centric on Sunday. This is going to be a terrific show. Check this out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Come on. Come on.

(MUSIC: "Hump to me, baby. Hump to me, baby.")

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All right, stop what you`re doing.

ANDERSON: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. No, he said stop what you doing. I`m cool. Ain`t this the next move? This ain`t the next move? OK. My bad.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. Anthony, you`ve got to be careful when you`re doing the "Humpty Hump" there. I mean, come on. Good thing is you`re still in one piece. I actually heard the routine ended in a split. Are you OK, my friend?

ANDERSON: I`m all right, baby. You know, unlike Miley -- Miley Cyrus, I know how to twerk this jelly right here.

HAMMER: Yes. And you did Digital Underground proud. Very nicely done.

ANDERSON: Oh, yes.

HAMMER: Great performances. What a lineup at the Soul Train Music Awards. It went down in Vegas a couple of weeks ago. You had Chaka Khan there, Jennifer Hudson, Tamar Braxton all performing. Aside from your little split during the show there, whose performance surprised you the most in the course of the night?

ANDERSON: You know, every performance was great. But we opened the show with Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan and Evelyn "Champagne" King that just brought the house down.

And then there was a tribute to Dionne Warwick, because she received our Legend Award this year. Jennifer Hudson, Ron Isley, Ruben Studdard, K. Michelle, a bunch of -- Kenny Lattimore, a bunch of artists sang vintage Dionne Warwick songs. And I think was -- I think that might have been the best performance that night.

HAMMER: And what did you do? I heard your did something during the Dionne performance that came at least close to twerking. You did it with your Lustasy musical act. Can you explain that to me?

ANDERSON: Well -- well, you know, back in the `90s, I was a member of a boy band. And our band was called Lustasy.

HAMMER: Right, right.

ANDERSON: So I sort of brought the band back together for the Soul Train Awards. And we came out and performed, and we kind of grinded on Dionne Warwick...

HAMMER: Oh, good.

ANDERSON: ... Gladys Knight, and Chaka Khan.

HAMMER: I`m sure -- I`m sure it will be...

ANDERSON: So we made them a part of our show.

HAMMER: ... a classic history-making moment. I`m so happy that you hosted the show. Can`t wait to watch it on Sunday, Anthony. Everybody can catch the Soul Train Awards Sunday night, December 1, on Centric and BET.

Thanks, my friend.

All right. As we move on, are you feeling cagey? Because selfie- mania is getting a brand-new twist with the help of Nic Cage of all people. It is the weirdly mesmerizing Web site that puts the Oscar winner`s mug onto your selfies. Isn`t everything a little bit better with Nic Cage? Is Nic going to take over the countdown like he`s going to take over your selfies?

Or are brand-new Taylor Swift confessions going straight to No. 1? Taylor finally revealing what her exes have to say after she calls them out in her multi-platinum songs. And get this: They may not even be angry.

What`s going to be No. 1? This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now, Taylor Swift`s new romance confessions. She tops the charts with songs about heartbreak. Well, now, we`re finding out how the men in Taylor life really feel about her calling them out. You might be shocked.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SIMPSON: I`m Jessica Simpson, and yes, I`m doing Weight Watchers. There is a lot of pressure to lose weight.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: We`re revealing all about the diets that stars love to endorse. Jessica Simpson just one of dozens who endorse diet programs. What works? What doesn`t? We`re putting celebrity diets to the test with an expert who knows what`s true and what`s a big fat lie. "SBT" continues right now.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Welcome back. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. We`re now up to number five on our top ten countdown of todays must see, must share stories. It`s brand new Taylor Swift confessions fresh from her big swift sweep at the American music awards.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And the American music award goes to Taylor Swift.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What an amazing night for Taylor. She won four AMAs, including Artist of the Year for a third time. That`s the most anyone has ever won that category. Of course, you might remember, just a few weeks ago, the country music association gave her its pinnacle award. Only Garth Brooks has ever gotten that on it. Well, now Swift is confessing all in a revealing new interview with "New York Magazine." Jesse David Fox joins me now. He is an associate editor for "New York Magazine`s" Vulture.com. Jesse, it`s good having you here. One of the things that I love that she confesses in this article is that she`s aware of how she`s perceived in public. How is her perception of how she`s perceived? What does she think?

JESSE DAVID FOX, ASSOC. EDITOR, "NEW YORK MAGAZINE`S" VULTURE.COM: I think she understands that people know who she dates and that she writes songs about who she dates. There`s a quote where she says where - if they had a problem with it they should have wikipediaed me before they start dating me.

HAMMER: Yeah.

FOX: I think she knows that people know she dates famous people and writes songs about them.

HAMMER: And has made an awful lot of fans happy and a lot of money in the process. I want to read something that she wrote about this and the fact that she actually hears from some of the guys she writes about. She said this talking about her latest album "Red." "I heard from the guy that most of red is about. He was like, I just listened to that album and that was a really bittersweet experience for me. It was like going through a photo album." And she said, "That was nice." "Nicer than like the ranting crazy emails I got from this one dude." So, she says she is hearing from these guys that she`s writing about, but she`s still not dropping names.

FOX: No, and I think she understands and probably that`s the game of it, I think. Her fans like to kind of guess who it is. I think it`s exciting. But I think it`s like any breakup. I think some people are going to take it harder than others and be angrier or realize, you know, you - at some point you really love them and that at some point it just kind of fell apart. And she writes about her life. And that is what her life is.

HAMMER: Do you think she`s ever going to spill the beans? I get the game and I think it`s funny. It`s like the old Carly Simon.

FOX: Exactly. Yeah.

HAMMER: You know, the mystery of who she wrote "You`re so vain" about. But I don`t know. Obviously, the guy is out there communicating. Somebody`s going to intercept an email one day.

FOX: I don`t know, it`s like I think when Carly Simon admitted who it was about, which was David Geffen, and everyone was like, it`s better not to know him.

(LAUGHTER)

FOX: As they were like, Atlanta`s more set with you, I don`t know. All these things it seems like you really want to know and then when you do, it`s like a kind of more exciting, a mystery.

HAMMER: Maybe we don`t want to know. Keanu Reeves. She does talk a lot about her unique connection with her fans. Let`s watch together how she thanked her fans last night at The American Music Awards.

FOX: Sure.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TAYLOR SWIFT: My lucky number is 13. And so far you guys have made 2013 the most magical year of my life so far. I cannot thank you enough. This validates that if you voted for this that we`re heartbroken the same way and we fall in love the same way and we`re happy the same way, and the fact that you would listen to my music means that we`re on the same page. And I`m 23 and I have no idea what`s going to happen to me in my life. But I figure if you decided on something as wonderful as this then we`re pretty much in it together, aren`t we?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yeah, I think that`s great. A lot of people like to make fun of her because of this humility that they perceive, that can`t possibly be real. But why do you think is it she appears to almost identify with her fans more than a lot of other big stars do?

FOX: Well, I think her story is unusual. Because she`s not from Nashville. She`s not from a country music, it`s like home she came from Pennsylvania, I think. She`s giving herself completely in this music. She`s writing her very true stories. So, when you have someone respond to that that is very warm. It`s being accepted. It is getting the thing that you maybe weren`t getting when you are growing up.

HAMMER: Yes.

FOX: So, she feels like they are in it together, and I think her fans feel the same way, which is why they turn out in droves.

HAMMER: Yeah, and they will continue to do so. Before we go, do we have time to play this one piece of tape? If we could just roll this out. People seem to make fun of the "I can`t believe I just won" face. She walks up to Taylor, and look at that - Justin Timberlake walks up when he`s about to get an award and does that surprise face. I mean she`s got to be supercool in private. If she - I think she`s really surprised. I know everybody makes fun of me for thinking that.

FOX: I think every time you`re going to be surprised when you win something. But I think she gets that that`s a joke that she`s always surprised.

HAMMER: Well, yes. She`s very self-aware.

FOX: Yes. She is self-aware. And it`s hard not to be when you`re kind of constantly being covered like that.

HAMMER: Well, as we move from Taylor, we have a confession from Lady Gaga taking us to number four on our countdown. Lady Gaga is just Gaga over her boyfriend. She just gushed all over the place to Ellen DeGeneres at Ellen`s talk show about her boyfriend. It`s "Chicago Fire`s" star Taylor Kenny. Now, they`ve been together for about two years. But they rarely talk about their relationship. Watch what she just told Ellen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELLEN DEGENERES, TALK SHOW HOST: You seem so opposite.

LADY GAGA: I know.

DEGENERES: I mean he .

LADY GAGA: He`s a hidden weirdo.

(LAUGHTER)

LADY GAGA: He is extremely strange, actually. And we complement each other`s weirdness. That`s actually one of the first things he even said to me. And it`s a Dr. Seuss quote. That you find in someone else a compatible weirdness.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yeah, I love the quote. I love the reasoning behind it. And we have wondered for a while how can Gaga who is certainly out there and owns up to being out there be with a guy who at least seemingly seems so normal but apparently he`s very strange and very weird. So, it makes sense to you?

FOX: Yeah, I think like any relationship there`s going to be balances. And I think she probably is more weird outward, but wants someone who can make her feel more normal when she`s not performing and he`s probably something the opposite. And together, they kind of find some balance in like what`s weird and what is normal. And I think it`s actually like it is a really cute story, then she kind of gushes when saying that quote.

HAMMER: Yes.

FOX: And I think it totally makes sense.

HAMMER: It`s really sweet. And makes me very happy for her, because when you get to that level of global super stardom then, is it tough to find anybody you can trust, let alone have, you know, a relationship that`s that serious. Why is she talking about it now? I realize Ellen brought it up but, Ellen wasn`t going to bring it up if she didn`t know Gaga would be comfortable about it. And in some way she`s always been private about.

FOX: I think this tour, this press tour has been very like edgy. She`s putting herself as like being really, really weird and she`s also been doing things that soften her. Such on SNL, like making fun of everything about here, and she`s on Ellen, it could be like I`m just a normal person under all of this, and I have a very normal looking boyfriend and I have a normal life. I might like wear - I might ride out on a human horse to their amaze, but, you know, I just like watch television with a boyfriend. I think she`s trying to like recover the more normalcy that she had when she first started.

HAMMER: Yeah. And letting people know, I guess, at the same time, I`m really not that different from you all the time.

FOX: Yeah.

HAMMER: Love at the time, possibly, meet dresses - you know, not everybody does that every day. I love the story of how they met, by the way. They met on the set of her music video for "You and I." This is one of my favorite Lady Gaga songs. So I`m just particularly pleased about that. But she told Ellen how they went from just shooting together and being co- stars to being lovers. And let`s watch how that played down.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LADY GAGA: And we were in the middle of the scene. And I remember that he kissed me and it wasn`t scripted for him to kiss me. And I was sort of like, you know, was that real or was that fake? And he just didn`t really say anything. And that was fine by me. And we just, you know, kept filming. And, you know, at the end of the day he`s my best friend. And having your lover be your best friend, it`s, I mean, it`s the best thing ever.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It is, most certainly, the best thing ever. So, a lot of times when stars male or female reveal a lot about their lovers, the people that they are dating, the people that they`re dating start to get hate mail. I don`t think that`s going to happen in this case from the little monsters. Do you?

FOX: No, no. They`re supportive. And I think, in this case - it`s like - it just seems like a nice fit. And that story is so nice. I don`t think people are going to - I mean we actually get one or the other, it`ll be like, be nice to her or like make story due to write. But I don`t think anyone`s to be like watch out!

HAMMER: Oh, yeah, like when Justin Bieber was with Selena Gomez, he got hate, literally got hate mail all the time. All right, well, Jesse, great to have you here.

FOX: Thank you so much.

HAMMER: We appreciate it. One of the biggest confessions a star can make is about their diet. You know weight loss and the extremes they go to to stay fit. Well, Kim Kardashian says she used the Atkins diet to snap her body back after having her baby. Beyonce`s weight loss after giving birth seemed almost instantaneous. But what`s the real skinny on star diet? Can we really do it just like them? Plus, the wonderful and such brilliant dance off at a Detroit Pistons game. An 11-year-old sitting way up in the stands caught on the stadium dance cam and then a dance battle for the ages is caught on camera. You can`t miss it. But what`s going to be number one on our "SBT" top ten countdown? This is "SBT" on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to our top ten countdown, and we are now at number three. Feeling cagey. This is the must have new app that swaps the faces on your Instagram feed with pictures of Nicholas Cage, of course. The pictures are then posted on a live feed, and some - you have Nick showing up in all kinds of places with men, women, even babies. All getting cagey.

Out must see, must share countdown is now down to the final two. And at a number two, celebrity diet wars. You know the names. Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, Mariah Carey. They`ve all endorsed well-known diet programs for helping them lose weight after having babies. They all show after eye-popping results and try to convince you that you will look exactly the same if you follow their plans, but are they telling you big fat lies? Nutritionist Keri Glassman is with me. And starting this Sunday, you`ve got to check out Keri`s 7:00 P.M. Eastern here on HLN on the show with perhaps the best name on our network, except for us - cook your ass off, brought to us by the producers of the hit series "Chopped." First of all, welcome to the network. Great to have you here.

KERI GLASSMAN: Thank you so much.

HAMMER: It`s a fun show, we`re going to talk about in a moment. But first, we must talk about some of these celebrity spokes people. And we should be getting with Kim Kardashian, of course. She just had her baby and she let everybody know she lost 43 pounds on the Atkins diet. She just gave birth in June. But really, can any woman get Kim`s kinds of results just from Atkins? Is this real?

GLASSMAN: Well, you actually can. I mean I think the thing most celebrities` diet is that most celebrities lose weight faster than they master the swaddle.

HAMMER: Yes.

GLASSMAN: You know what a swaddle is, right?

HAMMER: Well, of course.

GLASSMAN: Just making sure.

HAMMER: You learn that in the hospital. So.

GLASSMAN: Well, but most of the moves - and I think we critique celebrities because of it, but here`s the thing: Kim Kardashian lost a lot of weight on Atkins, but so did millions of other people. It`s not a safe way to go. And I`m not saying that I`m happy she`s endorsing it, but she probably did lose it by following an Atkins diet, which, again, is not the healthy way to go.

HAMMER: OK, not the healthy way to go, but wow, if you`re going to hop on a motorcycle with Kanye West and you want to look good for that, maybe that`s what you do. All right, Jessica Simpson, next up. She lost 60 pounds on Weight Watchers after her first baby. She looks amazing after her second baby. We had Jennifer Hudson lost 80 pounds on Weight Watchers. Is there one thing about the Weight Watchers diet that makes it work better for some people than others?

GLASSMAN: Well, you know what`s good about the Weight Watchers diet? It makes sense. They really are advocating real food, lots of fruits and vegetables. They are teaching portion control, so they are educating people. So, if celebrities are going to endorse a diet play, I`d much rather then be endorsing something like a Weight Watchers .

HAMMER: Sure.

GLASSMAN: Than an Atkins or some of these other crazy whackado types of plans out there.

HAMMER: It feels responsible to you?

GLASSMAN: It is responsible.

HAMMER: OK. Yes.

GLASSMAN: Well, Beyonce certainly has been an inspiration to everybody not just in life, but also losing the post-baby weight. When she first stepped out after the birth of Blue Ivy she seemed to have slimmed down by about 20 pounds in the matter of weeks, perhaps, before she mastered the swaddle. I`m not sure.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: She reportedly used the master cleanse diet, which is a juice diet. It sounds so unappealing. And I always hear people saying, yes, I got really fast results, but wow, it`s a very, you know, seemingly unhealthy way to go. Is it just too much too fast?

GLASSMAN: It is. It`s too extreme, but not only that. I hear the word master cleanse and I`m hungry just thinking about it.

HAMMER: Yeah.

GLASSMAN: I mean a little maple syrup and lemon and water. The cayenne pepper. That`s not a plan, that`s not healthy eating. And yes, I know, Beyonce, lots of pressure to look amazing really fast, but it is not a healthy way to go. I mean it`s you`re not getting protein, you`re not getting vitamins or minerals. You`re not getting fat. You`re going to gain the weight right back.

HAMMER: And you can`t even add tequila into it to make it more exciting.

GLASSMAN: I mean .

HAMMER: It doesn`t really work.

GLASSMAN: Yes, you can.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: That`s the way to go. Let`s talk about Jenny Craig, because Jenny Craig programs has been praised by Mariah Carey and Valerie Bertinelli. Who does Jenny Craig work for best?

GLASSMAN: Well, Jenny Craig works for the type of person that really doesn`t want to do any work, but wants to learn the portions are all about. The food is delivered to you. So, you do learn what proper portion are. You don`t necessarily learn though, how to eat the right types of foods, how to prepare for yourself. And they are all packaged food. So, you`re also getting a whole lot of sodium in there. But for that person that just wants to follow something that`s proportioned with fats, carbs and protein, doesn`t want to do any work, it could be right for you.

HAMMER: OK. You know how you learn, how to eat the right types of foods? You watch "Cook Your Ass Off" with celebrity chef Richard Blais Sunday night 7 P.M. Eastern making its debut. You`re a judge on the show. And I love it because we`re going to see chefs turn people`s biggest food indulgences into lean and delicious meals. That`s the official tag line. I like that. Because I do that to my friends like turkey bacon instead of regular bacon. It makes people crazy, but it`s such a great consent.

GLASSMAN: No, but absolutely. I always say, taste and nutrition can go together. They are a perfect marriage when they go together and the whole thing is when you diet, people think you have to have celery sticks and grapefruit.

HAMMER: No!

GLASSMAN: But no .

HAMMER: Right.

GLASSMAN: Real food tastes delicious and satisfies you.

HAMMER: Yes.

GLASSMAN: And that`s what the show really is all about.

HAMMER: And that`s why I`m going to watch it.

GLASSMAN: All right.

HAMMER: Because well, especially coming off of Thanksgiving weekend, I think, we can all use a little extra tips on how to make it more exciting to eat well. Thank you, Keri, great having you here.

GLASSMAN: So welcome. So good to be here.

HAMMER: And make sure you check out the new Sunday lineup here on HLN. Starting this Sunday at 7:00 P.M. Eastern, again, learn to cook your ass off, literally, with celebrity chef Richard Blais, 8 P.M., we have "New York Times" bestselling author Tim Ferris teaching you how to master well, almost everything. This is Tim Ferriss experiment. 8:30, "The Dose" with Dr. Billy. We have got this all new Sunday lineup on HLN. It`s up wave on HLN. I dare you not to check it out.

Well, after filling up on our top nine must see, must share stories on our countdown, I hope you`ve saved some room for number one. What could it be? The big reveal is next. This is "SBT" on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Happy 21st birthday, Miley Cyrus. Yeah, we saw her on Twitter and Instagram. She celebrated with flowers and friends and, of course, that killer American Music Awards performance. I loved it. I got a little belated gift for you, Miley. It`s a cocktail. You know, now that you`re legal I`m just going to hang on to it in my office until you visit "SBT". Again, it`s been here since you were here. So, please come on back or actually, and give me a couple of glasses. Time with Megan in a moment. But that brings us to the big reveal, number one on our top ten countdown. Miley`s metamorphosis, from Disney darling to twerkastic superstar. Miley Cyrus is legal now and she won`t let anyone forget it. Right now, with help from our friends on hlntv.com, let`s watch Miley transform. It`s an amazing new video from little Hannah Montana to can`t be tamed Miley.

(VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yeah, and there`s the tongue. And we had to end it on the tongue, right?

MEGAN MEANY, LIFESTYLE POPCULTURE EXPERT, MEGANMEANY.COM: Of course, you did.

HAMMER: With me in New York, lifestyle pop culture expert Megan Meany. Megan Meany is from MeganMeany.com. I mean look at her.

MEANY: Miley.

HAMMER: She`s 21 years old. She`s got the world in the palm of her hand. But what kind of advice would you have for her so she basically doesn`t screw it all up and we`re still talking about her in a positive way .

MEANY: Right.

HAMMER: When she turns 22.

MEANY: I think she needs to use this birthday to look at the past year and what she - where she wants to go in the year ahead. I think put the tongue back in the mouth, I like a little bit of the old Miley. Let`s get some class back into the act. Because what she really wants is a substantive career and not just headlines. And I think she`s going in the direction of just shock value. Who is Miley, really? We get it. You don`t want to be Hannah Montana. OK. You don`t even want to be Taylor Swift. But this doesn`t feel real to me, this feels too manufactured .

HAMMER: Yes.

MEANY: This sexy stuff. So, she`s got to dial it back for her birthday. And see where she wants to go. We can like - Lady Gaga has substance. We can just feel that. Madonna. Miley needs to take a page out of that book. Maybe a new team, maybe a little break from showbiz. I`m not sure. But she`s - I`m hopeful, because she spent her birthday morning with like her puppies, cuddling.

HAMMER: Yeah, great lickers.

MEANY: No makeup, she went back to the natural eyebrows. This is hopeful. Let`s get back to a more natural Miley. I mean modesty in class anyone, hello?

HAMMER: And I think she`s on her way there. I think as you said, it was all intentional. And the truth is, you know, she`s 21 years old. And as much as we`re talking about the headlines and the cat and the twerking, her career is enviable. Let me roll out Miley by the numbers. I mean people who are three times her age wish they had this career. Five number one albums. Number 13 on Forbes Celebrity 100 list. First hosted "Saturday Night Live" when she was 19 years old. So, she gets a lot of fleck for those things that get headlines, but we should also be cheering her accomplishments.

MEANY: She`s done a lot. But I think she needs to be careful. Because she`s got the world in her hands. But it`s going to slip through, I think, if she gets too sleazy. And I think that she`s crossed a line now.

HAMMER: Yeah.

MEANY: It`s too much.

HAMMER: The thing that I hold out hope for, and I know her dad. Billy Ray is, he is pretty grounded, basically, and I think hopefully set her on the right track. She will not wind up in jail or rehab. I don`t believe that.

MEANY: OK.

HAMMER: We`re going to leave it there.

MEANY: We`ll see.

HAMMER: All right, Megan. Thank you so much. That`s my hope.

Now, it`s viral video that has everybody on their feet dancing. As we bring you the 11-year-old dancing sensation that took over recent Detroit Pistons game. This is our moment of Showbiz Awesomeness. And it is next. This is "SBT" on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: It`s time for our moment of awesomeness. It comes to us from Detroit. 11-year-old Detroit Pistons fan Antwain Alexander wanted nothing more than to be on the arena`s dance cam. Antwain`s got his wish. You`ve got to see this.

(VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Come on, how great is he. Of course, Antwain didn`t count on the competition he was going to get with a Piston`s usher. So, when the dance came landed on Shannon Sailes, this guy on the left, he took over with his signature dance moves. It was an all-out dance off. It was crazy. The two of them going at it. Sailes, usher for the Pistons, he`s a regular on the dance cam. I think you definitely gave him a run for his money. The video has been viewed more than 3 million times. Thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. You catch us live Monday through Thursday at 6 P.M. Eastern and 11 P.M. Eastern and Pacific. HLN continues right now.
