Firefighters Battle Hollywood Hotel Fire

CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: Pretty early in the day for breaking news out of the West Coast, but right now we want to bring you some live pictures, breaking news in Hollywood of a hotel on fire, courtesy of our affiliate KABC. Can't really tell by that picture where exactly, it is but it certainly looks like it is fully engulfed in flames. We're going to find out more about whether this hotel was occupied, where it is, as well as how well those firefighters are doing battling the fire.

COLLEEN MCEDWARDS, CNN ANCHOR: Actually, apparently we're just being told it's at Santa Monica and Western, if I've got that right. Fully involved, as you said, Carol. We don't have a lot of other information at the time, but of course we're monitoring it here and we'll keep you up to date as we get more information in at this time.

LIN: That's not really a touristy area, so chances are it's not one of the big hotels. It's probably one of those residential hotels, but we'll find out more.
