He has learned that President Bush is prepared to place Army General Hugh Shelton who has been his Joint Chiefs of Staff up until now. He has now picked Air Force General Richard B. Myers to take over that position. We understand he is going to make it official on Friday.
General Myers currently is the nation's second highest-ranking military officer, and in fact he is currently also the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs. And we will know for sure what happens with him on Friday.
