THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. NATALIE ALLEN, CNN ANCHOR: We are awaiting a sheriff's department news conference, which should begin in about 10 minutes. After a 10-day international search, Ukrainian immigrant Nikolay Soltys, accused of killing six of his family members was arrested just a few hours ago as he hid in the backyard of his mother's home, according to police. According to the sheriff, it was Nikolay Soltys' brother, who the sheriff said was terrified of him, who called and turned him in.
After a 911 call, police searched the home of Soltys' mother, did not find him. Went into the backyard and found him hiding underneath a desk. He was arrested without incident. He was not combative at all, according to police.
He did appear disheveled. Police speculating that perhaps he had been hiding out in the fields for some time because it did not appear like someone had been harboring him.
It was 10 days ago that Soltys allegedly stabbed to death his pregnant wife, then killed an aunt and uncle, two children and his 3- year-old son.
But, again, Nikolay Soltys is in police custody today, and we expect to hear how the whole thing came down and get more information for you in just a matter of minutes from the sheriff's department. And we will provide live coverage.
But he is off the FBI's most wanted list and is in police custody.
