2 of 4 Africa Embassy Bombers Sentenced to Life

DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Now to bring you up to date on another story that has been breaking out of New York City, and that is the sentencing of the four men that were convicted in May for the U.S. Embassy bombings in Africa in 1998. Two of those men have been sentenced today and let's -- so far -- and let's go and bring you up to date on what those sentences are.

The first one being K. K. Mohamed. He was convicted and faced the death penalty, but a jury back in May decided that life in prison was more appropriate for him. So he indeed will face life in prison without the possibility of parole. The other man, Mohamed Rashed al- 'Owhali of Saudi Arabia -- he also faced the death penalty in the trial that ended in May, but the jury deadlocked on that. So he too will receive life in prison.

As we mentioned four men convicted in -- in this case, and the two others will be sentenced, and that news coming out of New York City.
