THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: We now know overseas, there is a wire service report, that Afghan opposition leader Abdul Haq has been killed in Afghanistan. That coming from "The Associated Press." There had been word that Haq had been on a secret peace mission for Afghanistan's exiled king.
Quickly, Joshua Cooper Ramo, what does that mean? What's the significance of that?
JOSHUA COOPER RAMO, "TIME": It's a huge reminder of how difficult it is to try and form any kind of governing coalition inside Afghanistan. The United States is desperate to come up with a post- Taliban alternative. Haq was one of the leading hopes, and if this does, in fact, turn out to be true, it's a disastrous setback for the United States, and a reminder of how difficult things yet to come will be.
ZAHN: Thank you so much.
