Freight Trains Collide in Michigan

LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: And, Paula, before we toss it back to you in New York, we want to show you some pictures now we're getting in of a live event under way right now. You're seeing here. These are actually pictures that we've videotaped here while we're looking out the live picture.

Coming out of Springfield Township in Michigan, we understand two freight there trains collided on a Grand Truck track. This is about 25 miles away, northwest of Detroit, and we understand there have been casualties. There are two people who are now dead because of this, and we also have a report from the Associated Press that there may still be two people trapped inside.

Complicating this is the fact that there are some chemicals on board this train and there has been a leak, so there's been evacuations of residences in the area and some schools as well. We will keep our eyes on this story, and we'll bring you any developments as we get them.
