CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: We are following two breaking stories at this hour. We begin with a small plane crashing into a building in downtown Tampa. As you can see in this live shot, the single-engine plane crashed into the Bank of America building. We know two floors have been damaged, and that a 15-year old student pilot was at the controls when the plane took off from the airport in St. Petersburg.

We are -- we know that the building is in the 300 block of Ashley and Kennedy Boulevard and that there appears to have been no fire after the crash and that the building does appear to be standing with no problems there.

We're also following a plane crash that occurred in California. This twin-engine plane apparently crashing into a vacant lot in Orange County. You're looking now at video of that scene -- one reported death of someone onboard of that plane. We know there was a small fire at the point of impact there, and that some cable and telephone lines were knocked out. This vacant lot, however, surrounded by commercial and residential buildings in Buena Park -- that's about 27 miles southeast of Los Angeles. We'll have more information on both of these stories as they become available.
