Alabama Football Placed on Probation by NCAA

DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: I want to let you know about some breaking news out of the sports world. And this, Crimson Tide fans, will effect you.

The NCAA has banned Alabama from bowl games for two years, cut scholarships and also placed the football team on probation for five years. That action coming on Friday in the wake of a scandal in which boosters were accused of giving money to prep players. So, 'Bama, Crimson Tide out of bowl games for two years, on probation for five with scholarships being cut. That's the latest from the sports world from the south.
