AP Reports American Casualties in Afghanistan

FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: I'm Fredricka Whitfield at the CNN Headquarters in Atlanta. Breaking news now. The Associated Press reports right now that American troops have been killed in eastern Afghanistan from fighting this morning. U.S. ground troops joined Afghan fighters today in an attempt to drive out al Qaeda and Taliban forces, who are believed to be regrouping. That's all we have right now at this time. Information is trickling in, and of course, as we receive it we'll be reporting it to you. We'll be right back.
