THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Top story this hour, as it was last hour, Interstate 75 is shut down in both directions this morning just south of Chattanooga, about 15 miles south of Chattanooga, just over the Georgia border.
At least 75 vehicles are piled up in a foggy morning crash. Multiple fatalities have been reported, visibility at the time was said to be zero. Some cars were sandwiched in between 18 wheelers, some were just under them.
Rescue crews were on a skeleton staff because officers had been away at a training seminar, but that has not caused a problem right now. Traffic is backed up at least 30 miles in both directions. We will stay on top of this story and bring you the latest as we get it.
