California Police Involved in High-Speed Chase

CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Want to bring you up-to-date on a story that we're following in Los Angeles. As you can see, a car chase still under way, going up highway 5. This video is courtesy of KCAL, there in Los Angeles.

We have reports that the car, which is a dark green Chevy Metro, is apparently heading towards Bakersfield, California. It's been going on for quite some time now. We've been following it for about 45 minutes now.

Police apparently wanted to originally pull this car over for reckless driving. And if they were to zoom in a little bit, you would see that the front end of the car is missing. The driver of the car is reportedly a male. He's apparently alone.

We're seeing this car speed up to as high as 90 miles an hour going up this highway. We'll continue to follow the story for you and bring you any information is it develops.
