Edmunds Reportedly Spotted in Texas

FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: We want to update you on a situation, the intensifying investigation involving missing 14-year- old Elizabeth Smart. The man in question that police want to question and have released a photograph of is Bret Michael Edmunds. He apparently has been spotted by a convenience store clerk in Hereford, Texas. That's about 42 miles outside of Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle.

Investigators are now looking for help in Texas as well as in Utah of anyone who may have seen him. Apparently his 1997 green Saturn was also abandoned in that community. And now, investigators are going to be updating us on that situation in a few minutes. And of course we will be bringing that to you out of Salt Lake City, where police investigators are going to have having their usual press conference. And we are about five minutes away from that, and we'll bring to that to you live.
