BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Back to our breaking news in southern Florida, getting word now that authorities have responded and detonated, apparently, some material taken out of a car. What the material is, we do not know right now.
This, a 20-mile stretch of a southern highway in Florida, right around the I-75 Alligator Alley Highway that essentially cuts across west to east through the Everglades. We'll continue to track it for you.
At 1:00 a.m. local time, about -- oh, about six hours ago, almost seven hours ago, a call came in from a woman, apparently, who overheard a conversation between three men in a restaurant north in Georgia, called the authorities.
The bulletin went out, and this is the situation we have right now. Two cars pulled over, bomb-sniffing dogs have responded. And again, the word just a few moments ago, some material has been blown up.
More when we get it from Florida.
