WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: We have this update to the story that we've been reporting for the past several minutes on those three missing girls. The good news is they have now been found, we are told by law enforcement authorities in Texas. The three sisters, reportedly abducted from outside their mother's home earlier this morning at 7:00 a.m. Central Time, have now been found.
Our Eddie (ph) Lavandera -- Ed Lavandera standing by with a little bit more detail on that -- good news for all concerned, Ed?
ED LAVANDERA, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Absolutely, Wolf. Just as we left you just a little while ago, went over and made one more phone call, and they had found -- we have been told that they have found the three girls, that they are safe. They've been found very close to where all of this started transpiring this morning. So all three girls are safe, ages 7, 10 and 11.
We also do understand that there is one person in custody now. All this is breaking, as we're talking here too, so we don't have a lot of information as to who this one person might be, but authorities tell us that they are continuing to investigate the situation, and what kind of relationships there might be, if any, between all of these people.
So -- but the important headline of this morning is that all three girls have been found safe and that one person, one male, is in custody right now -- Wolf.
BLITZER: And maybe that Amber alert did pay off once again this time. We'll continue to check these stories, monitor these stories. But the good news, those three sisters are OK. Ed Lavandera with that good word for us.
