LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Our Kelly Wallace, our Jerusalem bureau reporter, is also joining us now. Kelly is in Gaza right now.
Thank you for telling me that.

Kelly is in Gaza. And, Kelly, have you seen anything at all yet of this report that we have been able to confirm of the Israeli helicopters there on the way to Gaza or actually there in Gaza?

KELLY WALLACE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: No, Leon, I have not seen it with my own eyes. We are actually at the checkpoint right at the end of the Gaza Strip. We are trying to head into Jerusalem. We have been held up for quite some time.

But our CNN producer, who is in Gaza City, tells us he has seen those two Israeli Apache helicopters in the air. He says they have been firing. But he is working hard to find out exactly what is going on.

But at this point in time, not clear about the target of that operation, not clear if it's in retaliation or response to that suicide bombing. We don't have many details at all. We are a good ways away from Gaza City right now, at this checkpoint.

And again, I can tell you, Leon, we were in Gaza all day long yesterday, of course, after the two Israeli aerial attacks, which left five people dead, including at least two innocent bystanders, and there was tremendous anger on the street. Just last night, you had thousands of members of the Palestinian militant group Hamas at a funeral for the Hamas bodyguard who was killed. There were calls and vows to retaliate. And Hamas leaders were saying to us, Leon, there would be many Israelis who would be killed, that they would respond, and respond in a big way.

And again, no clear indication yet who could be responsible for the bus bombing. But the warning from Hamas leaders was that they were going to retaliate, and quickly -- Leon.

HARRIS: Well, Kelly, as you say that, I'm getting word it's been confirmed according to some eyewitnesses there in Gaza, who are there ahead of you, that three targets were hit in Gaza.
