BRIAN CABELL, CNN CORRESPONDENT: There are protesters up here getting ready themselves. Precisely what they will do, we don't know. Let's listen to some of them right now as we have a speech taking place at this point.
(JOINED IN PROGRESS)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now, let me speak to you soul.
This has become a deeply personal issue between you and Roy Moore. You know that before God. And as a pastor, I am appealing to you now to get on your knees and to talk to God about this matter, and to resolve it in your soul. This matter cannot be resolved in the political sphere. This matter cannot be resolved in the courts. It is a crisis of conscience deeply within your soul.
And as a pastor, I implore you (ph) to take this matter to God in prayer, to drop to your knees, and rather than consulting with your advisers, rather than thinking of your resume, rather than thinking of the financial benefit of having a certain kind of post, and I think you know what I'm speaking of, rather than thinking of the federal benefits that will accrue to you and your future pension, I am asking you, sir, if you would drop to your knees and ask if all of those things are worth selling your soul and your conscience. And we will pray for you. And we will remain vigilant with you until you resolve that matter in the deepest part of your soul.
May God have mercy on you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I know everybody's stirred or emotions are touched...
CABELL: Once again, what we're hearing perhaps the final hours of the protest here, at least the protest before the monument is moved. We're seeing activity inside, clearly some activity designed toward moving the monument, whether it be inside the building itself or outside, we don't know. We've seen increased police activity here for the last 90 minutes. They're posted around the streets here. We're expecting probably sometime soon to see a truck drive up with a piece of equipment to go inside and move that 2.5 tons of granite with the Ten Commandments on it. We have not seen that truck yet, but all indications are it's probably going to happen today. But we've been hearing this the last couple of days, but we have not seen the activity inside the building that we've seen over the last half hour or so.
