BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Breaking news right now, a developing story out of Saudi Arabia. This in the southern part of the country, about 600 miles south of Riyadh. Four armed men entered a hospital some time ago, taking hostages described as foreigners, taken in that raid. The security forces for Saudi Arabia have stormed the hospital. A shootout ensued. The captives were freed. Two policemen apparently are shot and killed there. A lot of this information still coming in right now.
There's also a report out there, according to Reuters and the Associated Press, that the gunmen right now are on the run and being chased by security forces.
When we get more, we'll give it to you. But, again, the southern part of Saudi Arabia still developing now.
