FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: Well, we begin with the crisis in the Middle East. Israeli forces have targeted and killed two more Hamas militants. Ten militants have died in two weeks. Today's attacks took place in Gaza, and that's where CNN's Matthew Chance is right now -- Matthew.
MATTHEW CHANCE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Fredricka, thank you. Israel striking again at the Palestinian militant group Hamas. This time four rockets fired by an Israeli helicopter gunship as it circled in the skies over the center of the Gaza Strip, hitting a vehicle carrying two Hamas militants that had drove through a densely populated refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip.

Firefighters and rescue workers, as well as local people gathered at the scene of the attack trying to pull people away from the burning wreckage. Angry crowds quickly gathered as well, chanting anti-Israel slogans. It's been confirmed that two Hamas militants were killed in that strike. And nine other people were injured, some of them said to be bystanders by hospital officials.

(UNINTELLIGIBLE) two militants that you said brings to 10 the number of Hamas militants that have been killed in this way in Israel in as many days. It's of course a very controversial policy of targeted killings, what the Palestinians call assassinations, that Israel has embarked on here with some determination, particularly since the bombing in Jerusalem of a bus by a suicide attacker which killed 21 people two weeks ago. Israel now saying it will liquidate Hamas militants.

Back to you.

WHITFIELD: All right. Matthew Chance, thank you very much.
