HEIDI COLLINS, CNN ANCHOR: The glitz, the glam, the Emmys. The golden statues will be handed out for the 55th go-around tomorrow night at Hollywood's famed Shrine Auditorium. NBC's acclaimed White House series, "The West Wing," is defending its drama title against HBO's "Six Feet Under" and "The Sopranos." And this is the big year for "Everybody Loves Raymond."
Well, we know what the winners get. But what about the losers? CNN's Jodi Ross joining us now from Hollywood. And Jodi, judging from your tease a moment ago, it ain't so bad to be a loser.
JODI ROSS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: That's right. We don't even say losers here, Heidi. We say non-winners. This is obviously -- that's right -- what the winners take home with them, this is the grand prize.
But if you can't take one of the statues home, you can take home a $23,000 gift basket provided by Distinctive Assets. I'm here with Lash Fary. Lash, how are you?
LASH FARY, DISTINCTIVE ASSETS: I'm great, thanks.
ROSS: Good. So this is not a bad parting gift if you're not going to win an award.
FARY: Pretty good consolation prize, I think.
ROSS: What do these non-winners get?
FARY: They get a whole range of things, and we try to balance it out. So there's a $3,500 package to a five-star resort in Taos, New Mexico, the (UNINTELLIGIBLE), that's everything, all-inclusive. A $1500 workout package at Angel City Gym. $5200 laser eye surgery at the (UNINTELLIGIBLE) Eye Institute. And we balance that with fun necessities, like Altoids and Crest White Strips, and, of course, mink slippers, because that's a necessity.
ROSS: Of course.
FARY: And of all necessities, it's jewels, here on the red carpet...
ROSS: And speaking of jewels, it's funny, Lash, you would say that.
FARY: That's you.
ROSS: Here they are. I believe this is a $250,000 black diamond...
FARY: Fifty carats of black diamond, no less.
ROSS: Fifty carats of black diamond necklace.
FARY: And (UNINTELLIGIBLE) pearls.
ROSS: Now, this is not in the basket itself..
FARY: It's not in the basket, but they do get a $10,000 gift certificate towards the purchase of this type of jewelry at Malino (ph) (UNINTELLIGIBLE), our traditional jewelers down in Orange County, or a nice ring. Madonna actually has a ring just like this. This is just a $5,500 ring.
ROSS: Oh, that's all.
FARY: Today's casual day at the Emmys.
ROSS: Exactly. So they get to pick and choose whatever they like?
FARY: Yes. They get a personal consultation with a jeweler, because a diamond is forever, so it's something they can invest in -- $10,000 towards the purchase and a private viewing at their home of all the jewelry.
ROSS: Right -- oh, that's nice, too.
FARY: And, of course, while they're viewing the jewelry, they can celebrate with a little Bacardi Cocoa, which is a brand new coconut rum, with a very, very cool ice bucket from them. And we balance that with fun little fashions. This is from Lauren Merkin (ph), a leather clutch handbag in assorted colors. This is actually Jessica Lange's gift bag.
ROSS: I was just going to say, right here I can prove to you that this basked was made up for Jessica Lange. Now, what if Jessica Lange wins tomorrow night?
FARY: Well, then she won't get this. She'll get the Emmy, and her quote will go up much, much higher. And then they have all sorts of other fun goodies. Sprayology (ph) and Ghost (ph) perfume and these cute little T-shirts from To Love (ph).
ROSS: And right here, this triggers something else, right?
FARY: Opti Free for the more traditional contact wearer from (UNINTELLIGIBLE). But they might, like I said, want to opt for the $5,200 laser eye surgery, which I have done a few months ago -- 20/20 vision.
ROSS: OK. So it's a good thing.
FARY: Or you're going to put on maybe a little more modeling. ROSS: I'm going to show you right now. It if you can't get the surgery, Heidi, if you're not here, you can just put on these shades. That's what I'm going to do.
We have tried to show you here that being a loser, not so bad. What do you think?
COLLINS: I think not. Laser eye surgery, I never would have imagined.
ROSS: Never.
COLLINS: All right. Going to be an interesting night, that is for sure. Jodi Ross, thanks so very much for that.
