COLLEEN MCEDWARDS, CNN ANCHOR: Well, many museum-goers think another best in America is the National Air and Space Museum in Washington.
CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: The museum is observing its 25th anniversary. It's getting a lot of tourist traffic.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: You like coming here, Matthew? This your favorite museum?
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: I like how they look.
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: The heritage of aviation is truly an American experience, one to be treasured and preserved.
JOHN F. KENNEDY, FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal before this decade is out of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: My favorite part of the museum is the Wright brothers plane and seeing it just next to the Apollo capsule or the Gemini capsule or the Mercury 7 capsule, such a wide range of man's flight in such a close proximity is really, really a stark contrast.
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: Ignition sequence starts.
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: I didn't think it was this good, because I had to wake up early in the morning and stuff.
UNIDENTIFIED NASA EMPLOYEE: ... two, one, zero, we have a liftoff.
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: Jo-Jo (ph), did you see the space shuttle?
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: The airplanes are fascinating and it's fun to be able to actually go inside some of the airplanes.
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: The first time I came as a child with my family and the second time I came with my husband and this time we brought our children. UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: I don't know, I like it cause you get to see it, not imagine it.
UNIDENTIFIED VISITOR: I think to see how much we've changed is wonderful.
