CAROL LIN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: We've got some movement now in Washington, D.C. in the search for Chandra Levy.
Let's go to CNN's Eileen O'Connor standing by in Rock Creek Park -- Eileen?
EILEEN O'CONNOR, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, we're along -- Carol, we're along Piney Branch Parkway, and as you can see right now there's 28 recruits coming in off of the bus. They've just been briefed by a sergeant with the special investigations unit.
They are going to be spanning throughout this area near Piney Branch Parkway. The police say they're interested in this area because Chandra Levy was interested in this area. Her computer -- a check of her computer indicated she had maps up of this area on the morning that she disappeared. They say that the total search of Rock Creek Park could last as much as two weeks. They're hoping to carry this area from here along to a set of tennis courts today -- Carol.
LIN: Eileen, have these cadets been specifically briefed on what they are, in fact, looking for? Are they looking for a body? Are they looking for small bits of evidence or perhaps both?
O'CONNOR: Well, they're looking for both. They're looking along the ground, areas of the ground. They're going to be sweeping, going in groups of two or three and walking along side by side. They're looking for disturbed ground. They're looking for pieces of clothing and they're also looking for fragments of bone. As you know, they found two sets of bones yesterday. They do believe, though, that those are animal bones.
So while the police say this is certainly like a needle in a hay stack, and a big hay stack here, over 1,000 acres in Rock Creek Park, although they've narrowed that search, they are finding some things. They may as well, the police say, bringing in dogs to help with this search -- Carol.
LIN: All right, thanks so much for that latest report -- Eileen O'Connor, CNN, standing by there in Rock Creek Park.
