COLLEEN MCEDWARDS, CNN ANCHOR: Terrible heatwaves in parts of the country these days, also tropical storm Barry churning its way through the golf.

If you're fascinated by weather, and most of us are, our Surfing into Saturday" segment is the one for you.

We've got Daniel Sieberg here to show us what you can learn about the weather on the Web.

DANIEL SIEBERG, CNN INTERACTIVE CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Colleen.

Yes, we've scoured the Web and tried to come with as many weather-related sites as we can for people.

The first one is very interesting. It actually has Webcams. There are about 150 different Webcams on this site. If you go the site, you can go from anywhere around the world and find out live weather patterns.

Here we've got Cape Canaveral, where they've had some inclement weather, and Florida and so on, and some of the Webcams update on their own, a few of them need to reload. But they're really worth the wait.

MCEDWARDS: I can never get these things to work at home, but I'm a luddite with a phone line, so I guess that's my problem.

SIEBERG: It does depend on your connection sometimes, for sure, yes.

Now the second one we've got is the NOOA Storm Watch site. This one tracks hurricanes, tornadoes, the major storms that are happening. And you can go down here and find all sorts of statistics. We've got today's weather map, the Doppler radar. If you're interested in storms, this is definitely the place to go. It's even got archived storms from like previous big incidents.

MCEDWARDS: And can you really track them? I mean, is it that sophisticated?

SIEBERG: Well, it's pretty close. It's pretty up to date. They've got a lot of good technology on this site. They've also got links to other stuff on the NOAA site, the heat index, and that sort of thing.

Now the next one we've got, this is weather-related, it's certainly something we've all done before, you know, stared up and looked at clouds and looked at the patterns and that sort of thing. But now, this site tells you a bit about how they were formed and how they relate to weather patterns, and how they may even predict the weather. It will tell the difference between the cirrus cloud and the cumulus cloud, for example. And If you scroll down, it takes you all sorts of different cloud patterns. You can see that there's links to various cloud explanations, how they form. Yes, and some great images, and a great site to go for, you know, beyond just staring up into the sky.

Now the next one, we just couldn't resist talking about CNN.com's weather site, which is very comprehensive. They've got the news of the day, of course, which everyone wants to find out. But now beyond that, If you want to know your weather forecast for your area, you can just put in your zip code and find it out that way, you can get weather from around the world. And if you've got allergies, which everybody is affected to at this time of year, it's got the allergy report in there as well.

MCEDWARDS: Lots of great information there. That's great and Daniel. That and more at CNN.com.

SIEBERG: Yes, if you couldn't get all these sites, you can just go to CNN.com/tech, and we've got our story there.

MCEDWARDS: OK, great. Daniel Sieberg, thanks very much.
