KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Well, sometimes love has a way of working things out. Case in point, Vincent Mulkowsky and Liza Caceres. Six years ago, Patrick wanted to propose to Liza. He paid $35 for a brick in Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park. Well, engraved on it was, "Liza, will you marry me?" and it had his initials. Well, she never saw it and they split up. But a few months ago they did get back together and last week he showed her the brick.

I spoke with the couple over the weekend.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

VINCENT MULKOWSKY: It was very inconspicuous. I was just going to come down and meet her for lunch and we were going to go to the park and have a nice picnic in the park. So I got the ring, put it in the lunch bag and we walked down to the park and I saw the brick and I turned around and I kneeled and I proposed.

LIZA CACERES: Yes.

PHILLIPS: Wow. And how did you react? Were you shocked?

CACERES: I was shocked. I thought it was magic. I thought that there was some program for guys who wanted to get proposed to in the park where you can just like pay a lot of money they'd set it all up so you could put the brick in the park. But -- and so when he finally told me and I said so did you get this like a month ago? He says no, I got this five years ago. And that was it. I mean the tears were falling. I mean it was an extremely powerful moment.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: Oh.

PHILLIPS: Yes, they were a neat couple. Can you believe that? Fate brought them back together.

LIN: There you go.
