CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Well for those of you who have always heard that Santa Claus works out of the North Pole, our next report may come as a bit of a surprise.
Affiliate station KKTV reporter Chris Ornelas discovered a jolly old Saint Nick hard at work at a Pueblo, Colorado home improvement store.

FRANCIS MAZANEC, SANTA CLAUS: Have you got your Christmas tree up, Angelique (ph)?
CHRIS ORNELAS, KKTV-TV REPORTER: In case you didn't know, Santa Claus spends a lot of time at the Home Depot in Pueblo.
MAZANEC: You have to have a tree so I know where to put your presents, right?
ORNELAS: Today, a group of three and four-year-olds from Pueblo Headstart got to come in and help Santa make presents.
MAZANEC: They're always my helpers on -- near Christmas time.
ORNELAS: Some couldn't resist showing off all their Christmas knowledge to the big man himself.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And Comet, and Cupid and Donder and Blitzen.
WENDY MONTOUR, TEACHER: It was wonderful. This was a very age- appropriate field trip for the three year olds. It was a -- they gave them hands-on activities and that's what three year olds need.
MAZANEC: What do we do with this, guys?
ORNELAS: After giving everyone a tour of his gigantic workshop, Santa told us he loves having the little ones over.
MAZANEC: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) I think you just have to like people and enjoy being with children.
ORNELAS: Santa hopes these children learn the lessons about Christmas that he's known all along. MAZANEC: You're always wanting to help people and be generous and be kind. That's what Christmas is all about.
ORNELAS: But after a long day at the workshop...
MAZANEC: It's been a hard day today, all that painting.
ORNELAS: ... it was time to go.
CHILDREN AND TEACHERS: Bye. Bye. Bye-bye. Bye.
MAZANEC: Everybody be good. See you at Christmas.
