CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Hey, tell us about those souvenir things.
CHAD MYERS, CNN METEOROLOGIST: I would like some fromage, that's about all I know. Jubilee fromage, that's all I know.
Anyway, it seems almost every year you know they have the pins or something's going on, everybody wants them and they're trading. Did you see the commercial about the pig? The one guy -- one guy gets a pin and then he gets a pig back. What's that all about? I'm not sure. It's kind of a slam, I think.
But anyway, everybody wants this thing. What is it, it is the beret made by a French company.
Jennifer Davis of CNN affiliate KUTV shows us the goods on this beret.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Where you guys from?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE).
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.
JENNIFER DAVIS, KUTV-TV REPORTER (voice-over): Roots is rocking.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's going to be all right. (UNINTELLIGIBLE).
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: $63.81.
DAVIS: The need for Olympic apparel has hit.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You never have too much.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What, everything is selling. There's not -- you can't say this is selling more. Everything is selling. There's not one piece that is not selling.
DAVIS (on camera): So what's the one piece of clothing that people can't live without this Winter Olympic Games is this, the beret. Here at Roots, they sold 3,000 of these in just three hours. UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Should we get one?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK.
DAVIS (voice-over): The hats got noticed after the American athletes wore them for opening ceremony. Some people are so desperate, they'll take a kid's size.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh that's better. OK (UNINTELLIGIBLE)...
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is (UNINTELLIGIBLE) pass out (ph).
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That's what people have.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, it's also like a souvenir.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They like beanies. We've sold out. We've sold a couple hundred of these beanies right there with just the Salt Lake symbol and the Games' symbol.
DAVIS: Any business selling Olympic anything is making a lot of cash.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Twenty, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well we were hoping it was like this, but we couldn't expected this well so it's been great.
DAVIS: USA hockey jerseys are sold out, hats are hurrying out the door. Pro women (ph) just scrambling to get more stock and so is Roots.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It's a had to have.
DAVIS: Adult berets are sold out at every store, more on the way.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I'm not surprised, but I'll be back to get one. I'm like way happy. Thanks so much.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
COSTELLO: Cute beret.
