CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Well here's a story that's quite strange. There's a Georgia woman who apparently loves to get married. She's accused of being married to six, count them, six men at the same time. And you thought you had marital problems.

Reporter Jana Gentry of our Atlanta affiliate WAGA has the story.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

THOMAS RIDER JR., HUSBAND: She was still married to six of us, the others she had divorced, but she was married to six of us at one time.

JANA GENTRY, WAGA-TV REPORTER (voice-over): Thomas Rider Jr. called Clayton County sheriff deputies to cart his bride off to jail.

RIDER: I think she should get the book thrown at her, my personal opinion, because I've been used, the other husbands have been used and lied to, and if she gets away with this, who knows what she'll get away with.

GENTRY: Forty-four-year-old Tammie Denise Rider is accused of having six husbands at once in four different states. In Tennessee, she was allegedly Mrs. Dunton. And in Alabama, she was Mrs. Edwards. In South Carolina, her surname reportedly became Maddox. And in Georgia, she was allegedly Crain, Smith and Rider, depending on what county you picked.

He's husband No. 3, he thinks. He says they courted for a year, but 10 days after they married there was trouble.

RIDER: She said she didn't know if she did the right thing. She had some things troubling her and bothering her, and she needed some time so I left. I even left, like I said, left my truck and she went and got married in my truck again.

GENTRY: Rider's bond was set at $10,000.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

COSTELLO: Unbelievable. If Rider is convicted, she could be sentenced to 50 years in prison.

Let's go live to New York and talk to Jack Cafferty. Jack, that would mean she would be Mrs. Rider Dunton Edwards Maddox Crain Smith.

JACK CAFFERTY, CNN ANCHOR: Former vaudeville act called the Aristocrats.
