CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Will the so-called Princess of Pop date Britain's Prince William? That's the buzz of London. Britney Spears is there for the premiere of her movie "Crossroads," and she talked with ITN reporter Nina Nanoff (ph).

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Action.

NINA NANOFF, ITN-TV REPORTER (voice-over): Britney Spears, millionairess, pop princess and now she hopes screen goddess. She's in this country to promote her first film and she told me the big screen had always been her ambition.

BRITNEY SPEARS, SINGER/ACTRESS: I have to say it's not bad seeing yourself up there on the big screen. It's very cool. And since I was little, it's something I've dreamt of too so it's -- and it's a new territory for me. It's so different.

NANOFF (on camera): And do you listen to what critics say?

SPEARS: Honestly, everything that the critics like, I personally don't like. And everything that they don't like, you know, I hate. So it's really -- you know I think they're paid to criticize.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Get his keys.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yeah, get his keys.

SPEARS: Why do I have to get his keys?
