CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Want to check in now with our 'Eye on the Sky' Travelocity's Air Traffic Expert Rally Caparas.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol. It's breathtaking watching those pictures. Amazing technology over the last hundred years or so. But the technology is not going to change the strong, strong gusting winds and those brutally cold temperatures in the northeast today.

LaGuardia and Newark, you will see 60 to 90-minute arrival delays. This morning you will see some lingering snow, very poor visibility, but a half a -- a mile and a half visibility at LaGuardia right now. And then later on this afternoon and evening, very strong gusting winds will mess up the runway configurations. Those delays will be very lengthy today so beware.

Philadelphia, a little further south, lengthy delays there, not nearly as bad, however. Forty-five to 60-minute arrival delays, light snow and some strong wind this morning. But the very strong winds don't hit until later on. And the parallel runway configuration won't handle the wind and the volume so you will have those lengthy delays.

Chicago O'Hare, they are delay free this morning. But they too will see 60-minute arrival delays later on. They will have some light snow, just sprinkling at the airport and making the runways a little bit wet. And so they won't be able to do their land and hold short procedure, that means delays.

Houston's George Bush, 45-minute arrival delays. Low clouds, dense fog this morning, and then they will see some low clouds and rain continue later on this afternoon and evening.

San Francisco International, expect 45-minute arrival delays this morning because of low clouds, marine layer fog. And as usual, it should clear up by about, well, mid-afternoon it will be clear for on- time schedules thereafter.

The rest of the country looking pretty good.

Carol, I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky.' Stay warm.

COSTELLO: All right, thank you, I'll try. Thank you, Rally.
