MARTIN SAVIDGE, CNN ANCHOR: A 7-year-old Colorado boy is being hailed a hero. Titus Adams (ph) -- sounds like a hero -- his sisters and his mother were headed home from a Thanksgiving dinner when their truck veered off the road and rolled over several times. In pajamas with no shoes, he walked about a half a mile in freezing cold weather to get help.
Tyler Lopez from CNN affiliate KWGN has the story on how the little boy may have saved his mother's life.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
TYLER LOPEZ, CNN AFFILIATE KWGN REPORTER (voice-over): It was no easy journey. The crash happened along two remote country roads. The GMC pickup truck is a twisted mess today. Troopers say it rolled twice, when the driver, 28-year-old Tammy Hill (ph), reached for a cell phone. It appears Hill wasn't wearing her seat belt.
Her son, 7-year-old Titus, found her lying on the ground, moaning in pain. He knew he had to help, but the little boy first looked for his two younger sisters, even finding the pacifier for 1-year-old Tiara (ph). They were OK, but shaken. He told them not to cry and started walking.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There were two different electric fences. He walked through that.
LOPEZ: Without shoes, wearing only pajamas, and the only thing he could see was the Galeton Dairy (ph), a quarter of a mile away.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He got into the barn, and he found someone.
LOPEZ: Family members say Titus Adams (ph) has always been a strong big brother, watching over 4-year-old Tiffany (ph) and little Tiara (ph).
TIANA HILL, TITUS' AUNT: It surprises me that a 7-year-old would have that capacity, but knowing Titus, I mean, he thinks everything through.
LOPEZ: Dairy workers found the boy and called 911. It's almost certain his quick actions saved his mother's life.
TROOPER RUSS ZELLER, COLORADO STATE PATROL: Oh, yes, definitely, I think he saved his mom's life. You know, he's a hero in my book.
LOPEZ: Titus drew these personal get well cards for his mother, who has a broken back, neck and broken ribs. But thanks to this 7- year-old superhero, she is expected to recover.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
SAVIDGE: Wow! That was Tyler Lopez, KWGN, and the young boy's name, Titus. Remember that.
