KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Well, another one bites the dust. Actor Robert Blake may be losing another defense attorney. It's all over Blake's desire to talk to the media, but will the judge allow another attorney to jump ship?
CNN's Charles Feldman following the hearing in Los Angeles -- Charles.
CHARLES FELDMAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Kyra, what a mess this has become. Yes, another attorney wants off the Robert Blake case because the client, Robert Blake, doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut.
It is likely, it is thought, that the judge at a hearing later today will grant that request.
Meantime, the problem is that Robert Blake is sitting there in jail, he has not yet been allowed to even have a bail hearing, not until a preliminary hearing that's coming up next month, but he did give a deposition, or at least he was supposed to give a deposition the other day, but his lawyer objected, and as you're about to see and hear, Blake was clearly annoyed that he couldn't speak. He wanted to talk a lot, and that's of course, the problem, and why he's losing attorneys, but you'll see, he was clearly frustrated.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ROBERT BLAKE, ACTOR: People told stories. Rape in Alaska (ph) when I was 19 years old, steal records up there -- I put a gun down Sandra's throat to -- insisted on -- if I didn't get the kids in the custody battle.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Mr. Blake, I'm asking you not to talk about the case.
BLAKE: I'm not talking about the case. I'm talking about my marriage to Sandra long before the case.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There has been terrible publicity about you, it's been unfair.
BLAKE: Let me just talk for a minute. Geraldo Rivera did a whole show about a custody battle that didn't exist. There were lies that went on all over the place. The "TV Guide," look, when he was doing "Helltown" (ph), this is a girl that he raped when doing "Helltown" (ph) and I was quiet. I did what I was supposed to do. I didn't talk.
Shut up. Shut up. Then I was locked up.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
FELDMAN: Now, after that sort of outburst, if you will, his attorney, his criminal attorney, did manage to take control of the situation and block Blake from answering any other questions that were being asked of him by an attorney representing the estate of his dead wife, Bonny Lee Bakley.
So, later today, as I said, a hearing, and it is likely, Kyra, that Robert Blake will lose another attorney. But it is also possible he may gain one because there are lots of rumors that Jerry Spence (ph), that is the guy who dresses up in a cowboy outfit but has a an Ivy League education, may join this defense team -- Kyra.
PHILLIPS: All right. Charles Feldman, thank you.
