WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: Journalist held a candlelight vigil in Baghdad mourning the death -- deaths, that is, of their colleagues. American Military fire killed three journalists in Baghdad today. One an Al-Jazeera correspondent, the others cameramen for Reuters and Spanish television.
Al-Jazeera says if U.S. deliberately targeted its facilities in Baghdad. The Central Command absolutely denies that. Says the building that were attacked were being used by the Iraqi military. Here's how the Qatari-based network covered the incidents in this translated report.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (through translator): Many inquiries about the developments of shelling the media positions. Why -- in whose interest is this shelling or targeting? The first hit, in fact, targeted the Al-Jazeera office in (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and the tanks went on fact shelling the office, which resulted in the martyrdom of colleague (UNINTELLIGIBLE) from Al-Jazeera and others.

The next hit, in fact, targeted Abu Dhabi office which is also very close to Al-Jazeera surrounded by the U.S. forces. The third hit was targeted against Palestine Hotel where many journalists, foreign journalists are working and resulted in the hit of a Reuters photographer.

Specialist -- people think the events are not put the -- media man in face of the weapons. Looking for a shelter is not easy. The U.S. and coalition do not differentiate between civilians and others. Everyone is, in fact, facing this threat.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BLITZER: That report from Al-Jazeera through a translator. How they're reporting this story. And the two journalists who were killed today in that tank shell were killed at the Palestine Hotel. That's been a base for international journalists in Baghdad. Both of the dead were cameramen, one with Reuters, the other with Spain's Telecinco (ph).
