WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: I want to immediately go to CNN's Ken Robinson. He's at Camp Doha, a military facility here in Kuwait.
Ken, tell us what you've been learning about the course of this war.

KEN ROBINSON, CNN ANALYST: Wolf, for the last few minutes, I've been meeting with senior intelligence officials here at the combined forces land component command, the ground component commander for the war, and they've informed me that within the next 30, 35 minutes, they expect a capitulation and surrender of the 5th Corps commander and the governor general of Mosul, and they expect the surrender to take place in Mosul, and they expect the surrender to go to the joint special operations task force, which is located in that location.

BLITZER: So this would be a huge development in the northern part of Iraq, Mosul being one of the remaining strongholds of the Iraqi military. Is that right, Ken?

ROBINSON: Absolutely, Wolf. This is a very significant -- because they're making determinations right now at this headquarters on trying to determine what areas they need to apply combat power to, and they've made every effort here, that we've observed, to try to allow units to capitulate and surrender if they were willing to do so, so they can avoid the loss of life. And this is another success that they're reporting to me that within the next 35 minutes, they expect that to occur at that location -- Wolf.

BLITZER: Ken Robinson, our Ken Robinson, breaking news here on CNN, the surrender of Senior Iraqi forces, the 5th Corps, the governor and the commanding general of the Iraqi troops in control of Mosul, about to capitulate, about to surrender, formal terms expected to be announced in a half an hour, 35 minutes.

Ken, stand by. We'll be getting back to you.
