WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: A Marine's lifelong wish is now being granted in his death. First Lieutenant Frederick Pokorney died last month in an Iraqi ambush near Nasiriya. His body was buried today at Arlington National Cemetery, where his grandfather and a great uncle are also laid to rest. His family says Pokorney had always wanted the honor of being buried at Arlington.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHELLE POKORNEY, WIDOW OF 1ST LT. POKORNEY: He's given me the strength. I just feel that I have no regrets. We loved each other so much. We shared special things, and he was a hero.

He wanted to be a hero, and that's what he did. And I think if he had had it any other way, it wouldn't have made him happy. And I have to be proud of that. What wife wouldn't?

I mean, what a heroic thing to give your life for the country, for the freedom of other people and stand tall and proud like he always was. He was always a proud, proud man.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BLITZER: Pokorney was an enlisted Marine and only recently had become a commissioned officer.
