KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Let's get our own crew in here. How about Amy Alcott, OK, talk about a swing at the movie reviews, and our new weather hottie, Rob Marciano. We need you too. Did you like that?
Amy, isn't Rob good looking? Have you checked him out, our new weather guy?

ROB MARCIANO, CNN METEOROLOGIST: I'll be back in a second. Can we get on to movies, please? Thanks. Hi, Amy.

AMY ALCOTT, LPGA GOLFER: Kyra, it sounds like you. Hi, Rob. How are you?

MARCIANO: I am -- an honor to meet you. Through television, anyway.

ALCOTT: Nice to meet you -- nice to meet you too.

PHILLIPS: We've connected a little love (UNINTELLIGIBLE) here...

(CROSSTALK)

O'BRIEN: Rob, what have you seen lately you like?

MARCIANO: Last movie I saw was "The Matrix," and that was all kinds of fun.

O'BRIEN: Really? I have heard it has gotten kind of flat reviews. Just kind of, like a video game.

MARCIANO: Well, if you like Keanu kicking tail, then you are going to like the movie, because that is pretty much it. A lot of special effects, and it's just hard to keep track of what's going on. You have to watch the first one, I would say, at least two, maybe even three times to figure out the sci-fi plot, but it's just fun. Go grab a bunch of popcorn and sit back and enjoy the show.

O'BRIEN: Just kind of enjoy the visual spectacle there.

MARCIANO: I've never been a movie critic. Put this on the resume.

PHILLIPS: This is pretty good.

(CROSSTALK)

PHILLIPS: We have got to do the background. Amy's got an incredible sense of humor.

ALCOTT: Oh, come on.

PHILLIPS: It is so true. She has one of the best sense of humors. Now, what do you think, Amy? You're looking at "Bruce Almighty," the new Carey film, also "The In-laws." Let's talk about Jim Carey first. What do you think?

ALCOTT: I love Jim -- you know, I love Jim Carey. Anything that I can laugh at, and I love that scene with the dog in the beginning...

O'BRIEN: That was great stuff, wasn't it?

ALCOTT: I love it. I guess there's a couple of good scenes with the dog, but he's just such a character. He makes me laugh. All of his movies -- all of his movies that he's ever been in, I'll definitely be checking that out.

O'BRIEN: Well, you know what I think about him sometimes, though, Amy, and I've read a little something about this movie where this has been brought up. I sometimes feel like he's trying a little too hard.

ALCOTT: Oh, I think he's just...

(CROSSTALK)

PHILLIPS: I think he's just nuts. Amy?

ALCOTT: I think you don't have to try too hard to be like that.

O'BRIEN: It comes naturally.

ALCOTT: I just think you are what you are.

O'BRIEN: So what you recommending, then? What have you seen lately that you like?

ALCOTT: What have I seen lately? Oh, I think the last movie I saw was "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof".

PHILLIPS: Oh, my goodness. Amy, you've got to get off the golf course and back into the movie theaters.

O'BRIEN: Entered into a time warp here.

ALCOTT: No, I -- I'm trying to remember the last one I saw. I do like "The Matrix" movies because I love all that special effects. I saw "Catch Me if You Can," which I really liked. I thought that was good.

PHILLIPS: What about "In-Laws?" I mean, Albert Brooks, you can lose with him. He is a pretty funny guy.

O'BRIEN: In a thong... ALCOTT: I like Albert Brooks and I like Michael Douglas. I think he's been in so many great movies, and he's got a real diverse personality to do all the movies he's done. But anything that keeps you laughing is what it's all about.

O'BRIEN: Michael Douglas is a golfer, isn't he? Doesn't he have a big tournament every year, Amy?

ALCOTT: He's got a big tournament out here in California and raises money for charity, but he loves to play, yes. What celebrity doesn't like to play golf? What great athlete doesn't love it? It's the toughest sport.

O'BRIEN: Ever see the movie "Defending Your Life"?

ALCOTT: Oh, that was a great one.

O'BRIEN: One of my favorite movies of all time. I love that movie. I love that movie. And of course, every person who sits in this chair can relate to the famous scene, broadcast news, the sweat coming down.

(CROSSTALK)

PHILLIPS: The sweat. That's right.

O'BRIEN: That is a classic.

PHILLIPS: As a matter of fact, Rob's got a little shiny forehead going on there.

O'BRIEN: It's the greasy Italian in me coming out. Powder, please.

PHILLIPS: Powder. Amy might be able to help you out. She's looking pretty good. She had a good makeup job there in L.A. Not bad.

ALCOTT: What do you think?

PHILLIPS: Not bad.

ALCOTT: Kyra, you would know that.

MARCIANO: I'd take a golf lesson over the powder any day.

PHILLIPS: There you go.

O'BRIEN: All right. Well...

PHILLIPS: This is pretty fun. Maybe we should make this a regular thing. What do you think, Amy? Rob?

(CROSSTALK)

O'BRIEN: So much for professional reviewers. You guys did a great job.

PHILLIPS: Yes.

ALCOTT: Yes.

PHILLIPS: All right.

MARCIANO: That was fun, thanks for having me.

O'BRIEN: Anytime.

PHILLIPS: Amy, thank you so much. We'll talk Annika soon.

ALCOTT: Any time, Kyra. Have a great holiday.

PHILLIPS: All right. You too. Thanks, Rob.
