KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: And this just in to CNN, we're being told that a power failure at Seattle Tacoma International Airport shut down the subway train to the airport's south satellite this morning causing massive backup and delays for travelers. The problem started when the power to the subway train to the south terminal went out shortly before 9:00 a.m. The cause of the power loss was not immediately known. It was unclear how many travelers were affected. Now we're told passengers in the subway train were trapped in that train for about 10 minutes before the crews had let them out. The airport sort of rerouted passengers for a while who were to leave from the south terminal back to the main concourse. From there they were bussed to other terminals. But the operation was halted for a while, we are told. There are significant crowds now at the airport. We are trying to find out what the deal is with the power if, indeed, it's back on or not. But once again a power failure at Seattle Tacoma International Airport shutting down the subway train and causing massive back ups and delays for travelers. We'll continue to follow this story and update you as we get new information. TO ORDER A VIDEO OF THIS TRANSCRIPT, PLEASE CALL 800-CNN-NEWS OR USE OUR SECURE ONLINE ORDER FORM LOCATED AT www.fdch.com
