KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Well, after getting booted off her job by a big sourpuss, a 6-year-old entrepreneur is having the last laugh. THat's because Avigayil Warden is taking her lemonade stand on the road.
Curtis Jay with CNN affiliate WZVN gives us a slice from Naples, Florida.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

CURTIS JAY, WZVN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): A local celebrity.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I got her autograph.

JAY: Avi Warden hit it big and she's only 6-years-old.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I saw her on TV, David Letterman. She's famous.

JAY: Famous because the city of Naples closed down her lemonade stand after a neighbor complained. The news made national headlines.

K.C. SHAW, AVIGAYIL'S MOTHER: Friends were sending me articles from all over the country. There was a friend in Canada that sent me some articles. So it's far-reaching.

JAY: And her popularity hasn't died down. Today she was invited to send lemonade at Hammond Stadium, right before the Miracle game.

SHAW: Well it's been pretty busy. I think Avi's almost made more money than I have in the last three weeks.

JAY: Avi's also been invited to throw out the first ball. Her family also shared in the spotlight.

But one of her most memorable moments so far? An appearance on the David Letterman Show.

SHAW: It was a great time. She fell in love with New York City.

JAY: While star power can be fleeting, Avi is cashing in.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, you know, here's your opportunity to get a class of lemonade from the little girl we saw on TV.

JAY: Knowing her day in the spotlight won't last forever.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

PHILLIPS: OK, we didn't hear from Avi.

MILES O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: What up with that?

PHILLIPS: Hey, Curtis Jay with WZVN!

O'BRIEN: Curtis! Curtis!

PHILLIPS: You quenched our thirst. We want to hear from Avi.

We're trying to get you on the air. Avi, we want you on CNN tomorrow, please. Talk to us.

O'BRIEN: If you're listening out there.

We're not being ingracious at all,. Thank you, Curtis Jay...

PHILLIPS: Yes. It was great report.

O'BRIEN: ...for that wonderful piece. But we did want something from the young entrepreneur.

Anyway -- maybe she's too busy selling lemonade to be talking.

PHILLIPS: I hope she's leaving the lemon peels on her neighbor's, you know, driveway.
