KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Well, you know what you're supposed to do when life hands you a lemon, right? But 6-year-old Avi (ph) Wardein made the lemonade first and only then did things turn sour. It was just about a month ago that police in Naples, Florida put Avi out of business because she failed to get a permit from the city. Well, this being America, Avi didn't stay out of business or the spotlight for long. The lemonade girl has been the toast of baseball games, TV talk shows, even a company called Kids Only Toys, which has signed her to an endorsement deal.
Somehow, Avi managed to squeeze LIVE FROM into her schedule and we're so glad that she did.

KC SHAW, AVIGAYIL'S MOTHER: You're going to be on.

PHILLIPS: Hey, and mom is fixing the ponytails and she is good to go. Hi, KC.

SHAW: Hi, how are you?

PHILLIPS: Good. Now I understand we were having IFB issues. Does she have one in her ear? Can she hear us or are you going to be our translator?

SHAW: No. I get to translate today. You're on TV now.

PHILLIPS: Avi is all excited. She's playing with her mic. OK, without making faces here...

SHAW: I don't think she knows she's on.

PHILLIPS: Hey, Avi, you're on TV.

SHAW: See over there. See, you're on TV.

PHILLIPS: There we go. I don't know if there is a monitor we can pop up. All right.

SHAW: No, we don't have a monitor.

PHILLIPS Avi -- well, as we can see, Avi has a lot of energy, KC. Have her tell us what gave her the idea of for the lemonade stand.

SHAW: Kyra wants to know what gave you the idea for the lemonade stand.

AVIGAYIL WARDEIN, LEMONADE STAND CLOSED BY NAPLES, FLORIDA AUTHORITIES: I don't know.

PHILLIPS: She doesn't know?

SHAW: It's something that they've always had.

PHILLIPS: Yes? And so...

SHAW: They've had it for about three years, so...

PHILLIPS: All right. Ask her what she thinks about all this attention that she's getting. Does she realize she's getting kind of famous here?

SHAW: Kyra wants to know what you're doing with all the attention. Do you realize that you're getting famous?

WARDEIN: No.

PHILLIPS: How much money has she made?

SHAW: I've lost you now.

PHILLIPS: Have we lost her? Did she take off?

SHAW: I have got you back now.

PHILLIPS: OK. How much money has Avi made?

SHAW: Avi has -- how much money do you think you've made, Avi?

WARDEIN: I don't know.

SHAW: A couple hundred dollars. A couple hundred dollars...

PHILLIPS: Yes?

SHAW: ....and she splits with her -- she splits with her brother Lucas (ph) and their friend Austin (ph) from across the street.

PHILLIPS: Avi has a lot of energy, doesn't she, mom?

SHAW: I think I fed her too much chocolate shake before we got here.

PHILLIPS: See, you shouldn't have given her so much sugar.

WARDEIN: This little piggy went to Mars.

SHAW: I'm sorry, what?

PHILLIPS: Is this what she did with David Letterman?

WARDEIN: This little piggy went to Mars. SHAW: No, she was well behaved. You're on TV. Daddy's watching you.

WARDEIN: This little piggy went to Mars.

PHILLIPS: Oh, my goodness. All right, well, Avi is quite the entrepreneur. Has she talked about, you know, college and this college fund that she's saving for?

SHAW: She is saving for her college fund, not willingly. She has to put away half of everything she earns and then she gets to spend the rest.

PHILLIPS: All right. Well, KC, I tell you what. Unfortunately, we are out of time, but we will be following little Avi's progress and maybe we'll do a follow up when she doesn't have a chocolate shake, what do you say?

SHAW: Thank you.

PHILLIPS: You're a patient mom.

SHAW: Oh, Avi.

PHILLIPS: You got your hands full, KC.

SHAW: You're wonderful.
