KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: This just in to CNN. We've been showing you the video for past few days now and that's the alleged sexual assault that took place in a Target, also a Wal-Mart. Our Mike Brooks here with new information. You just got off the phone with your sources.
MIKE BROOKS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Just got off the phone, Kyra, with the police in South Charleston, West Virginia. They're going to hold a news conference at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.

What they say is, right now, they're talking to someone that they consider a suspect in the sexual abuse and the sexual assault in the Wal-Mart store of the 11-year-old girl.

They said that they're talking to him right now and that it would not have been made possible -- it came in through a tip from another state. He said if it hadn't been for the media coverage of this, that they probably would not have gotten the tip from the person.

But it's someone that they believe -- is what they call a good suspect in this particular case. We'll find out more at the 3:00 press conference.

PHILLIPS: So does this mean something might have taken place in Kentucky?

BROOKS: Well we know now they're looking at a link between the Target store and a Wal-Mart store in Ashland, Kentucky. They still have not linked those two together yet. But I'm sure through an interview, through the interrogation of this particular person, they're talking with right now, we'll find out if these two are linked possibly a case in Texas that they're also looking at in Cleburne, Texas that occurred last February.

So we'll find out a little bit more at the 3:00 news conference.

PHILLIPS: All right. Thanks, Mike.

BROOKS: Thanks.
