KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Now that his body has been found, Texas authorities are focusing on and the motive of killing Patrick Dennehy. The body of the missing Baylor University basketball player was found Friday and identified last night. Mike Brooks joins us from Waco with the latest in the investigation -- Mike.
MIKE BROOKS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello, Kyra. Yes, we now know the body found last Friday was in fact that of Baylor University basketball player Patrick Dennehy. But what we don't know right now is the cause of death. The autopsy report has not been released as of yet from the forensic labs in Dallas.

Now the sheriff's office said today they weren't expecting the results back today. It could be tomorrow, it could be days. The body was badly decomposed and it takes some time to finish the autopsy and determine a cause of death -- Kyra.

PHILLIPS: Mike Brooks. We're also waiting for a news conference live from Waco with the basketball coach, Dennehy's basketball coach. Mike, do you have any idea what he's going to address in this news conference?

BROOKS: Don't know. The other day the athletic director came out before we had an identification that the body was Patrick Dennehy. He came out and said that they were going to rely on prayer, talked about how strong the family had been through all of this. We have not spoken with the family since the body has been identified with that of Patrick. And we don't know if they are coming back here to Waco.

The family was here almost all of last week meeting with police. They packed up the belongings from Patrick's apartment and they were driving in a U-Haul truck back to Carson City, Nevada.

But what the coach will have to say today we do not know as of yet.

PHILLIPS: Our Mike Brooks live from Waco, thank you. And when the Baylor men's basketball coach, Dave Bliss, steps to the mic, we will go to that live.
