MILES O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: And now it's time to make Kyra say, "What the...?" with a little item our producers purposely left blank on the run down of today's program.
Tomorrow is a big day for our Kyra girl. She took the day off to try to thwart exactly what you're seeing now. So joining us on the line from someplace in Oregon that I can't pronounce is one Kathy -- Kathy Christianson (ph), Kyra's mom. Hello, Kathy. Are you there?

KYRA' DAD: Happy birthday, Kyra.

O'BRIEN: Oh, your pop too?

KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Oh, there's Pop. Pop's on the line, too. Oh, no. Mom...

KYRA'S MOM: So you thought you were going to get out of this? Miles is very creative.

(LAUGHTER)

O'BRIEN: Let's show them a few pictures now. Cheerleading shots.

PHILLIPS: Oh, man.

KYRA'S DAD: The days I spent with her practicing her exercises in her pep suit with me.

O'BRIEN: She is quite the pom pom girl there.

PHILLIPS: That is really bad. Everybody is going, oh my lord.

O'BRIEN: And there's -- she's on the left, right? That's Kyra on the left.

KYRA'S MOM: She's the one on the left. She's not real sure she likes this whole thing. But Kyra's always liked new adventures and so, you know, she wanted to check it out.

O'BRIEN: Oh, What a cutie. So we're not going to say how many years ago it was...

KYRA'S MOM: Oh no.

O'BRIEN: ... but this is the eve of the big birth and you must have been feeling expectant at that moment. Today you must be quite proud of your daughter.

KYRA'S POP: Oh, very.

KYRA'S DAD: Oh, yes. Incidentally, I think on your last segment with Dr. Judy, the honorary doctorate is very appropriate today.

(CROSSTALK)

(LAUGHTER)

PHILLIPS: That's the only way I can get Ph.D. My mom knows I'd never make it through a dissertation.

KYRA'S MOM: Oh, you would, you'd have a lot of support.

O'BRIEN: All right, Kyra. Happy birthday. I'd sing to you, but...

KYRA'S MOM: Happy birthday. Get a hole in one tomorrow.

KYRA'S DAD: Happy birthday.

PHILLIPS: Thanks, Mom and Pop. I love you.

KYRA'S MOM: Love you.

KYRA'S DAD: Love you.

PHILLIPS: All right.

KYRA'S MOM: Bye-bye.
