KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Schedules take a back seat to safety, convenience to terror code orange. More flights in the busy Heathrow- Dulles corridor are being disrupted today, as authorities refuse to let anything fly unless everything and everyone checks out.
CNN's Elaine Quijano has been at Dulles all day. We check in with her for the latest -- Elaine.
ELAINE QUIJANO, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello to you, Kyra.
Well, the airline and the routes that continue to be most affected in the last several days continue to be British Airways flights operating between here, Dulles International Airport, and London's Heathrow Airport.
Now, most notably, British Airways Flight 223, for a second day now, has been canceled because of security concerns. That plane was scheduled to go out of London's Heathrow Airport to Dulles. Now, that case is in addition to several other instances. And, as a result, passengers have been forced to rearrange their travel plans.
Now, the staff at ticket counters have been trying to accommodate all of the people on the affected flights. Yet, those traveling, for the most part, have been taking the changes in stride. Although they are inconvenienced, some say they understand the need for authorities to take precautions.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Well, it's not a great way to start the new year, but, as far as canceling flights, I think to err on the side of caution is not a bad thing.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I'd rather get there in one piece than there to be problems anywhere along my journey, because it is, at the end of the day, a seven-hour flight. So I'd rather get there.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
QUIJANO: Now, meantime, it looks like some of those changes are already having a domino effect, at least here out of a flight out of Dulles. A British Airways flight that was scheduled to take off tomorrow morning at 8:35 has been canceled. That is because that plane will actually be leaving tonight. It will be leaving early in order to accommodate some of the people who were affected by delays and cancellations today -- Kyra.
PHILLIPS: All right, Elaine Quijano, thank you.
And we are just getting word now that British Airways has canceled Saturday's flight from London to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for security reasons. We're working more information on that story.
