MILES O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: A little bit of breaking news coming to us from San Francisco. Of course, we've been following all along today the situation there, as the city continues to issue marriages which allow gay couples to be married.
CNN's Miguel Marquez has been watching it. We have some news to tell you about, not from City Hall, but from the courthouse not too far away -- Miguel.
MIGUEL MARQUEZ, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Exactly.
I'm in front of City Hall here in San Francisco, where they've been granting marriage licenses. You can see that people are still lined up there. So I guess it kind of gives you an idea the news is good. The courthouse is right next door.
David Mattingly, CNN's David Mattingly, is in the courthouse. He says that that judge has just ruled, essentially, not to rule until Friday at 2:00 p.m., saying that there was some confusion over which complaint he was supposed to hear, that he received an amended complaint today and it wasn't clear which complaint was the correct one, and that the Campaign For California Families, a Florida-based group that's bringing the injunction, did not give the city proper 24- hour notice.
He also noted, though, that that complaint or that hearing on Friday may be moved because of a second hearing scheduled for today at 2:00 p.m. Pacific time. And David Mattingly said, when I got off the phone with him, he was going to rush over there and get a seat in that courtroom, because it is a packed house and they will wait to see what that judge decides -- Miles.
O'BRIEN: CNN's Miguel Marquez in San Francisco, thank you very much.
