DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Our Frank Buckley is aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Kyra Phillips is on shore in Everett, Washington.
Frank, we'll start with you.

FRANK BUCKLEY, CNN CORRESPONDENT: All right, Daryn.

Very exciting day, as you can imagine, here on the USS Abraham Lincoln. A lot of sailors eager to see their family members that they haven't seen for months. Among them first class Eugene Beyl.

Eugene, Samantha's been at home for all these months. Before this deployment, you were in Diego Garcia on an unaccompanied tour. You've left her at home for a long time. Tell me what you're thinking as you get ready to see her after all this time.

P.O. FIRST CHASE EUGENE BEYL, WON "FIRST CLASS" RAFFLE: I can't wait to see what she looks like and see my family. It's been a long tour since I have seen them. I am just really anxious.

BUCKLEY: You got to be a lucky guy to have a wife who's strong enough to withstand this, to have two young kids, to be able to deal with dad not being home. What do you want to say to them?

BEYL: That I miss them and I love them.

BUCKLEY: Well, let's let you say it right to them. Kyra Phillips is on the pier with Samantha.

And, Kyra, let me throw it to you.

KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: OK, Frank. Not only do I have Samantha with me, but I've got little Cody. Cody is actually checking out the ship behind us as it's coming in, and also Jacob. What do you want to say to your husband? You're both linked up, as you can see the ship behind you.

SAMANTHA BEYL: Oh my God, I am so glad that he's coming home.

I can't wait to hold you, baby.

That's it.

E. BEYL: I can't wait to see you, too.

S. BEYL: Thank you. Only a couple more minutes then we can hold each other just in a little bit more. E. BEYL: Yes, I can't wait. It's been a long time.

S. BEYL: Undoubtedly.

PHILLIPS: What do you miss so much about Eugene? Tell him what he's been missing out on these past months as he's been gone?

S. BEYL: I'm sure he knows just the family life and everything that he's missed. But just having him there to hold him, and just being a family.

PHILLIPS: She has tears in her eyes.

Jacob, do you want to say something to daddy?

JACOB BEYL: Hi, marshal. It's been a long time. And I can't wait until you get here. Love you.

E. BEYL: Yes, buddy. I can't wait to see you, too. I'll be out there soon.

PHILLIPS: Cody, do you want to say anything?

S. BEYL: Hi, daddy. Say hi, daddy. Yes, that's daddy.

PHILLIPS: Eugene, Cody is pretty shy. Why is he such a shy boy?

E. BEYL: I have no clue.

PHILLIPS: So tell your husband what you guys are going do as soon as he gets home?

S. BEYL: We're going out to have sushi, because I haven't been able to have any. I cheated once while he was gone. And I have been dying for him to get home so we can go have some sushi, the whole family.

PHILLIPS: Eugene, is that OK?

E. BEYL: Most definitely.

PHILLIPS: All right, we got a quick surprise, Eugene. Mom, come on in here and say something to your son. I think you're going to know this voice, Eugene.

FAYE BEYL, MOTHER: Welcome home. We love you.

E. BEYL: Hey, mom. How you doing?

F. BEYL: I'm fine. Very happy.

E. BEYL: When did you get in?

F. BEYL: Sunday.

PHILLIPS: What do you love the most about your son? I know he's been gone a really long time, but you were telling me how proud you are of him and just everything he's accomplished. What is it about your son that makes you so overwhelmed?

F. BEYL: He's just a great guy. Makes a good soldier. He's always been a defender. He's just a great kid.

PHILLIPS: I bet you'll agree with that.

S. BEYL: Most definitely.

PHILLIPS: Eugene, you've got a very excited family waiting for you here on the dock. We're going to make sure we bring them to you as soon as you get here, OK?

E. BEYL: OK, thank you.

PHILLIPS: All right -- Frank.

BUCKLEY: All right, Kyra, very excited Eugene here. One thing that we can tell our viewers is that Eugene gets the first kiss, or one of the first kisses, when we get to shore. Now he's got to decide whether or not it's going to be for mom or Samantha. We'll let him wrestle with that decision right now.

PHILLIPS: Samantha's going to answer that, Frank.

S. BEYL: No. It's mine.

PHILLIPS: What kind of kiss are we talking about?

S. BEYL: I have no idea. Hopefully a nice one.

BUCKLEY: Daryn, back to you.

KAGAN: Things getting a little out of hand there. We look forward to the docking and the kisses and the warm homecoming. Although it doesn't look that warm there in Everett, Washington, a little bit chilly.
