LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: James Woods as a fish. I can get it.
Folks, if you have kids, prepare to be reeled in hook, line, and sinker. As your kids probably already know, today is the nationwide premiere of "Finding Nemo," the latest animated film from Disney's Pixar, and the early reviews suggest that you don't want this one to get away.
But, does our resident critic agree with that? Let's get the answer right now from Russ Leatherman, also known as Mr. Moviefone. Good to see you, Russ.
RUSS LEATHERMAN, MR. MOVIEFONE: Boy, you got a million of them, don't you, Leon?
HARRIS: Who, me? No, the writers here do. I just deliver. That is all.
LEATHERMAN: Wow.
HARRIS: What do think, man?
LEATHERMAN: Well, first of all, happy Friday.
It is the first big family movie of the year, really, aside from "Daddy Day Care," but that movie sort of blew, so this is really the first one. And I got to tell you, this is one of my favorite movies of the year so far.
HARRIS: You're kidding me.
LEATHERMAN: No. The guys at Pixar have done an unbelievable job. They are the guys who brought us "Toy Story," some of these other terrific computer-generated movies.
And the thing I like about this was not only was it great story telling, but the underwater footage, the setting in the reef, it's all just fantastic looking. So it's one of those things where you go to the movies to get away for a couple hours to really kind of enjoy yourself, and you can take grandma, the kids, Crazy Aunt Maybelle, you can take them all, and everybody is going to love this movie.
HARRIS: So parents won't be bored at this one, then? OK. That is good to hear.
LEATHERMAN: Now, this is a good movie. It is going to do big business. HARRIS: All right. Let's go to the other end of the spectrum, then. "The Italian Job." The promos of this one look pretty good. What did you think about it?
LEATHERMAN: Another good movie. I would say, if you're going to go to the movies this weekend, go see "Finding Nemo" or "The Italian Job."
It is another caper kind of movie that we have seen a lot of recently, stars Mark Wahlberg, Ed Norton, and Charlize Theron, and these Mini Coopers, these little cars, are like a star of the movie.
Now, the thing that I liked about this movie is the fact that it is an effects movie, but it's mostly stunts. It is not a lot of CGI movies -- CGI action. The movie keeps moving. There is lots of action. The story is pretty good. So again, it's a good summer movie. So these are the two movies you're going to want to see this weekend.
HARRIS: All right. Good deal. Well, thanks for the tips. Sure do appreciate it. We have got to move on. Russ Leatherman, Mr. Moviefone, thanks as always. Have a good weekend, pal.
LEATHERMAN: See you next time. Enjoy the movies.
HARRIS: You got it. Maybe we'll see you next week.
